REPAIR AND ROUTINE MAINTENANCE OF ELECTRICAL LIFTS INSTALLED AT CGRA TUTICORIN AND OUTSOURCING OF SERVICES FOR MANNING AND OPERATION OF LIFTS AT AGE TUTICORIN UNDER GE (I) (CG) CHENNAI

Note for Item no 1 to 4: (i) The rate is inclusive of all items as required at site to keep the lift operational round the clock including cleaning and greasing all moving parts on monthly basis complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. (ii)The contractor is required to enter into MOU with the lift manufacturer (or) with any other OEM having registered with Tamilnadu Electrical Inspectorate having valid license and shall submit the same within 15 days from commencement of work (iii) The contractor should attend any complaint / breakdown immediately on call basis. (iv) Contractor should submit the inspection / maintenance report of every visit inspite of no of visits during breakdown calls including mentioning the status of lift and spares any replaced .v) The contractor’s quoted rate shall deemed to include cost of getting technical support from OEM as per MOU executed with them.

Out sourcing for Operation of electrically operated passenger lift of 02 Nos , Make :JOHNSON LIFTS with a capacity of 13 PERSONS ,884 Kg for 09 stops/ 09 landings 1.25 M/Sec and electrically operated goods lift of 02 Nos , Make :JOHNSON LIFTS with a capacity of 1000 Kg for 09 stops/ 09 landings 1.25 M/Sec speed installed at Coast Guard Residential Accommodation (Type II and III) to be operated in two shifts per day (each shift timings :08 hrs) (0600 to 1400 hrs : 1st shift, 1400 to 2200 hrs : 2nd Shift) in all working days including sundays and holidays by deploying One No of Semi skilled Operator/Lift Attender per shift complete all as specified and as directed

Note for item No 6- (i) One operator has to operate both the passenger lift and goods lift at a time in one shift (ii) The Shift timing Shall be 0600 hrs to 1400 hrs for first shift and 1400 hrs to 2200 hrs for second shift. (iii) In case of fault in the lifts the operator should register the complaint register of lifts at the complaint cell in substation immediately. (iv) Each shift consits of 08 hrs including sunday & holidays.The Rate quoted by the contractor shall be deemed to be inclusive for each shift of 08 hrs only.

(v) The contractor shall employ one semi skilled operator for each shift who shall possess ITI Certificate for Electric OR Mechanical Trade and the Certificate should be submitted within seven days from the date of issue of work order. (vi) The contractor shall prepare duty Roster well in advance and get it approved by Engineer-in-Charge and one copy of the Roster shall be displayed in the Notice Board. (vii) Consumable items such as cotton waste etc shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted by the contractor.

(viii) The tradesman shall wear approved uniforms as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (ix) The stationary required to maintain log sheets, attendance registers, log book and other registers as required shall be procured by the contractor as directed by the Engr-in-Charge. The rate quoted shall be deemed to be included the same and log sheet to be submitted daily basis to concerned JE before 1500 Hrs of the succeeding day otherwise absent report will be initiated for those shifts for which log sheet are not submitted. (x) The operator should keep the lift Cabin neat and Clean. (xi) The lift operator should have the knowledge to rescue the passengers in case the lift gets struck in between the floors.

(xii) The payment shall be made to the employees by the contractor through AADHAAR linked bank account. In case any employee insist for payment in cash or by cheque an undertaking be obtained from such employee and shall be produced to the Department for Records and proof of payment shall be produced for each payment made. (xiii) The following details shall be displayed in each lift:- (i) Name of firm operating the lift. (ii) Name of person to be contacted. (iii) Land line /Mob No. The Bidders quoted rate shall be deemed to be include for the above aspects.

iv)Incase of semi skilled lift operator is found absent from duty at any time from the above mentioned shifts,recovery of Rs 1000 per person shall be made in the RAR/FB claimed by the contractor. (v) The contractor should obtain signature from the User concrened from CGRA Tutocorin for the staff employed before claming RAR in GEs office. (vi) The payment shall be made to the employees by the contractor through AADHAAR linked bank account and remittance of EPF/ESIC details should be submitted before claming RAR payment to GEs office. (vii) The contractor should not quote less than the minimum fair wage in rupees for a semi skilled supervisory staff and contribution towards EPF,ESIC ,Bonus ,LWC as fixed under any Law,Statutory rule or Order as on the last due date of receipt of tender. Incase if any tenderer quoted less than the above rate,the tender considered as NON BONAFIDE and summarily rejected. (IX) The payment towards EPF,ESIC ,Bonus remitted by the contractor will be paid only after production of documetary evidence of payment proof to the workers employed by him. Otherwise necessary recovery will be effected in the RAR Claimed by the contractor. (X) The contractor will be required to submit copy of valid labour licence from the Labour Commissioner within 15 days of commencement of work .If the contractor fails to submit the same within the stipulated period mentioned above ,the contract shall be liable to be cancelled and the Performance Security of the firm shall be forfeited.
