REPAIR AND MAINTENANACE OF EXTERNAL WATER SUPPLY AND CLEANING OF SERVICE TANKS UNDER GE BRICHGUNJ, PORTBLAIR

M&L for Cleaning of overhead reservoir upto 30 mtr staging, semi UG Sumps, Sumps, reservoirs, storage tanks, Fountain with deployment of mechanical equipment such as high jet pumps for removal of dirty water vacuum operated pump for sludge removal, cleaning of inner wall, ceiling and bottom by high pressure rotary jet 120 bar pressure, wet vacuum cleaner etc. complete all as specified and as directed

The complete job of the tank cleaning process will be as under:- (i) Mechanical removal of all remaining dirty water by high capacity submersible pump set. (ii) Removal of Sludge by vacuum operated German pump. (iii) Cleaning of walls, ceiling and bottom of tank by German made high pressure rotary jet 120 bar pressure. (iv) Removal of all dirty particles by industrials wet vacuum cleaner leaving the tank physically cleaned. (v) Sterilization of tank by Eco friendly biodegradable and highly effective against all pathogenic agents.

Notes:- (i) Contractor must clean and disinfect the water storage tank within 24 hours after giving the site by Engr-in-Charge to avoid the disturbance of water supply to the connected area. (ii) In case of any accident during the work in progress the contractor will be fully responsible to give necessary medical aids and also compensation to worker under compensation act 1923. (iii) No extra payment will be made for transportation of any machineries required for cleaning and disinfection the storage tank. (iv) Item No 1.03 to 1.18 water tanks cleaned once in 6 months interval or if any water contamination occurs, as per directions of Engr-in-Charge. (v) Contractor must write the date of cleaning and capacity of tank at the wall of the storage tank in size of 2 ft x 2 ft base painted by synthetic enamel paint. Base should be in light blue colour and letters should be white colour without extra payment.

Collect the sample of water of 5 litres each from user end, after cleaning of UG Sumps or OH Tanks or RCC/ PVC tanks and sending it same day at Govt approved lab for testing of water as per IS 10500 in a cleaned container and necessary reports will be submitted to GE Birchgunj complete all as directed by Engr in Charge.

M&L for draining out complete water from existing PVC water tank fixed on the roof top of the buildings, removing the mud, sludge etc; from the tank, cleaning the internal surface using bleaching powder and wire brush, keeping it dry, painting the external surfaces of the tank facing the road side with black/white background of size 450mm x 300mm with one coat of approved black/white synthetic enamel paint, writing on the white/black surface with white/black paint " TANK CLEANED ON (date)" size of letter shall be 50mm x 70mm, checking and correcting the air lock on occurrence next day after the cleaning of the tank, when the tank is full of water, removing the same with pump, repair the leakage if any and cleaning the vegetation etc; on surrounding RCC slab where the tank is resting, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge for the following capacity: -

Note for Item No 3(a) to (d) - In case of any accident during the work in progress the contractor will be fully responsible to give necessary medical aids and also compensation to worker under compensation act 1923.

Supply and fix rotational moulded polyethylene three layer water storage tanks (cylindrical vertical with closed top) with tank cover (top) hoisted and fixed in position complete after dismantling and taking down the existing unserviceable PVC water tank of size 200/250 ltrs capacity from terrace complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
