Material and labour for carrying out regular checking and maintanance of 400 KVA capacity at SMC diesel generating sets including connected alternator and control panels, and carrying out routine 'A' check of the set complete for smooth functioning all as per manufacturer's instructions and as directed. NOTES :- (i) Control switches such as MCCB, Main switch, contactors and multi display meter shall be out of scope of the item of work and the rate quoted shall exlusive of servicing/ maintenance of the above said fittings. (ii) Servicing of DG set alongwith connected alternator attachednd control panel including 'A' check of the Engine shall be carried out at regular intervels as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and the contractor shall carry out periodical inspections during the maintenenace period and he shall be responsible for the smooth functioning of the DG set all the time. (iii) Spare parts required for replacement during the maintenance period shall be measured and paid separately at supply only rates and cost of labour for fixing these spares shall be deemed to be inluded in the rate quoted for this item (iv) Cost of all consumables required during the maintenance period shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item. (v) The contractor shall also attend to the breakdown calls and depute necessary technician for repair/maintenence works as and when required with out delay during the maint period. (vi) List of checks to be carriedout under 'A' check is attached as Appendix 'A' to the Particular specifications.

Material and labour for carrying out scheduled 'B' check of the 400 KVA capacity at SMC Diesel Generator Sets including connected alternator and carrying out routine servicing of the engine as per manufacturer's instructions including consumables complete for smooth functioning of the set all as specified and as directed. Note for item No. 2 :- (i) Cost of all consumables required during the servicing / maintenance of the DG Set shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item. (ii) Spare parts, filter elements, engine oil, distilled water and radiator coolant liquid required for replacement during the maintenance period shall be measured and paid seperately at supply only rates and cost of labour for fixing these spares/filling of oils shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item. (iii) AMF Panel and control switches such as MCCB, Main switch, contactors, multi display meter and engine control unit shall be out of scope of the item of work and the rate quoted shall exlusive of servicing/ maintenance of the above said fittings. Material and labour for de-scaling of radiator assy by disconnecting and removing from eingine, opening the top & bottom chambers, descalling the sediments and scales, corrosion etc and cleaning the core pipes with cleaning chemicals (radi wash) and high pressure water washing and arresting the leakage in core, if any, by brazing / dummy with lead, compressed air cleaning, reassembling the same with new gasket, and fixing to the engine with new hose pipe and clipes as reqd and filling radiator coolent complete all as directed for the DG Set of capacity 200 KVA to 400 KVA Note : The rate qouted shall be inclusive of transporting of the radiator to the workshop and back and all incidental charges. The coolant required for filling will be measured and paid seperately under respective item of this schedule.
