82397 Special repairs to Bituminous road at TS Avadi under AGE (I) Navy Chennai

Scarifying or picking gravelled macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces exceeding 50 mm deep and not exceeding 100 mm deep, area not exceeding 400 sqm, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for 7.5 cms thick (Compacted thickness) WBM (water bound macadam), in one layer with coarse aggreagtes of granite, trap or basalt, grading 2 ( 63 to 40 mm size) or of grading 3 ( 50 mm to 20 mm size), spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber as required using 8 to 12 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for preparing unsurfaced water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc.,and applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with paving bitumen VG 30 @ 10 Kg/ 10 Sqm all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for preparing old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc., and applying evenly a priming / tack coat with paving bitumen VG 30 @ 5 Kg/10 Sqm, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Premix bituminous macadam with 4 % binder content of paving bitumen by weight of total mix using VG-30 grade bitumen, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient using power roller 8 to 12 tonne capacity, consolidated thickness of 75 mm or less, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Bituminous Premix Semi dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC), 30 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5 % binder content of paving bitumen by weight of total mix using VG-30 grade bitumen, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete using mechanical paver and rolled using power roller 8 to 12 tonne capacity complete all as specified and directed. Note : The contractor's quoted rates shall also be deemed to include the following element:- (i) In case of variation in the binder content as per approved design mix in comparison with the binder content as specified above, the variation in qty of binder content on lesser side shall be adjusted through supply only rate of Bitumen VG-30.

Material and labour for repairs to potholes any depth, not exceeding 1 sqm each, including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc., cutting arounf edges to atleast 25 mm in depth and making good by applying tack coat @ 5kg per 10 Sqm, puting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 Sqm, binded with 0.09 Cum of stone chipping, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings ), depth of potholes exceeding 30 mm, and suitably rolled, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for applying 2.5 mm thick retro reflective thermoplastic road marking painting of specified shade/ colour etc., either continuous or broken lines, to the required width and length over the existing painted surface/ new bituminous surface with solvent based thermoplastic road marking paint (Retro reflective paint) Brand: Road King or equivalent brand approved by MORTH, IRTC and AAI including supply of paint material at the rate of 5 Kg per Sqm and glass beads at the rate of 0.35 Kg per Sqm (Reflective Index 1.5), applied using semi automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe heater, glass bead dispenser and propane tank heater, driven by experienced operator on road including all materials, labour, T&P and including cleaning the road surface of dirt, seals, oil, gease and foreign materials etc., complete all as specified and as directed. (Note: Thermoplastic Retro reflective paint shall be applied as per manufacturers instructions along with MOST specifications and speciality)

Supply and fixing dual directional, reflective cats eye with ABS material and abrasion resistsnt polycarbonate prismatic lenses, body of standard size, with honeycomb patterned base, having impact strength and fitted with 2 nos highly reflective reflectors panels of Amber, Red or white on both sides, approximately 248 gram weight fixed with suitable adhesive , conforming to relevant IS and all as per manufacturer's instructions complete all as directed specified and directed. (Make: Series 290 of 3M or equivalent in Dark eye/ Greenlite as approved by AGE (I)

Supply and fix Solar Cat Eye having 3 LEDs of Red/Yellow colours to a side (Total 6 Nos) housed in a tough pressure die casted aluminium alloy of size 125 X 125 mm or 120 x 130 mm with built in stem of suitable length (not less han 50 mm) for fixing with epoxy including LEDs, Solar Cells, battery & light sensor well protected inside under tough unbreakable polycarbonate transparent sheet top, System workable for 2-3 days(nights) after full charge in 8-10 hrs complete all as specified and directed. (Make: M/s GREENLITE CAT PART NO. GPL - 03-01 or equivalent in 3M/Dark eye as approved by AGE (I))

Supply and fix Speed breaker of size 420 mm width and of height 70-75 mm made out of strong weather-resistant hardened rubber capable to withstand weight of the heavy vehicles, comprises of segments of colour black/ yellow, length of one segment 490-500 mm and having 2 x 2 = 4 numbers glass reflective lenses suitable for fixing with 4 steel zinc plated 12 x 120 mm nails and type of fixing shall be as per manufacturers instructions complete all as specified and directed.
