Manning and Operation of Sewage Treatment Plant ( STP-IV) installed at Amdalli civilian township round the clock in 03 (three) shifts of 8 hours each on all days including sundays and holidays including routine preventive maintenance / checks complete all as per the maintenence schedule given in Operation & Maintenence manual for STP including supply & use of consumeables like grease, cotton waste etc and attending breakdown, minor maintenance, use of chemicals for STP & SLPH plants all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. The installation comprises of complete equipments of STP-IV, SLPH-1 & SLPH-2.

Manning and Operation of Sewage Treatment Plant ( STP-II) installed at Little Binaga complex in two shifts of 08 hours each including sundays and holidays including routine preventive maintenance / checks complete all as per the maintenence schedule given in Operation & Maintenence manual for STP including supply & use of consumeables like grease, cotton waste etc and attending breakdown, minor maintenance, use of chemicals for plant all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. The installation comprises of complete equipments of STP-II.

NOTES for item No 1.00 & 2.00: (a) The contractor shall pay the wages to the operator/ helper through e payment i.e Aadhar linked bank accounts (Credit to their bank account). Engr-in-Charge shall ensure that e-payment made to operator/ helper and their wages shall not be less than minimum wages fixed by state Govt or central Govt whichever is more. Monthly e-banking statement shall be furnished by the contractor to the Engineer-in-Charge and the same shall be kept in record duly verified. (b) It is the responsibility of contractor to deposit the employees provident fund (EPF) to the concerned authority as per the prevailing scales as laid down by the Ministry of Labour for all Electrician/ operator/ helper (as applicable) and necessay proof to this regard shall be submitted to Engr-in-charge for verification and records. The quoted rate shall be deemed to be included of above provisions. In case contractor fails to produce the proof of EPF, shall be liable for action as deemed fit. Decision of GE in this regard shall be final and binding. (c) Contractor has to employ following staff for Manning and Operation of installations at each shift of 08 hours: STP-IV including SLPH-1 & SLPH-2 at Amdalli: (i) One No Skilled Operator per shift of 08 hrs (Total 03 shifts per day) having minimum ITI qualification in respective trade from govt recognized institution with adequate knowledge with minimum two years experience in maint & operation of Sewage Treatment Plant & SLPH. The operator must be competent to carry out the routine maint of STP & SLPH plants including maintenance of electrical panel board all as specified and as directed. (ii) One No Unskilled helper per shift of 08 hrs (Total 01 shift per day) having minimum 10th pass with adequate experience. STP-II at Little Binaga: (i) One No Skilled Operator per shift of 08 hrs (Total 02 shifts per day) having minimum ITI qualification in respective trade from govt recognized institution with adequate knowledge with minimum two years experience in maint & operation of Sewage Treatment Plant. The operator must be competent to carry out the routine maint of STP plant all as specified and as directed.

(d) Chemicals for chlorination/dozing and engine oil will be measured & paid saperately under respective items here in below however cost of labour is deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted above. (e) Each shift duration shall be of 08 hours and duty timing shall be decided by Engr-in-Charge. (f) Power supply for operating the installation and diesel for runnig the DG set shall be made available by dept free of cost. (g) The unit rate quoted shall be deemed to include for daily minor maintenance like checking and rectification of any water leakage, loose connection, cleaning and general up keep of pump room/GLR/HTR and area around it. (h) The operator shall ensure general area cleanliness and upkeep of the installation on daily basis. (j) The routine preventive maintenance /checks shall be strictly carried out by the operator all as stipulated in the Operation & Maintenance manual kept at office of AGE E/M Karwar. (k) The unit rate quoted shall deemed include for maintenance for earthpits, cutting & removing of vegetation and upkeep of the surrounding area, all around the bldg upto 6 m from the plinth protection all as directed by Engr-in-Charge. In case of failure, a penalty of Rs 2000/- per month will be levied and recovered from dues. (l) The Contractor shall not employ same tradesman continuously for more than 11 months during the Contract period of 11 months. (m) In case of failure due to absence of operative staff, the contractor shall be liable to pay compensation at twice the cost of a day’s Manning & Operation derived from pro rata rate of Sch ‘A’ quoted rates. (n) The contractor shall provide 02 uniforms to each operator & helper and design of uniform shall be got approved from Engineer-in-charge. In case contractor fails to provide the uniform, recovery @ of Rs 2000/- per uniform will be recovered. (o) The rate quoted shall deemed to be inclusive of safety gear & required tools for minor maintenance. In case of failure to provide tools kit & safety kit (Gum boots-02 pairs, hand gloves), a penalty of Rs 3000/- will be recovered and levied.

(p) The Contractor shall maintain proper records of all kinds of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly or whatsoever maint is carried out during contract period in a binded book / register and shall obtain the signature of Engineer-in-Charge. (q) The contractor shall maintain all the registers under various labour law rules, 2017 and shall produce to GE and as well as officers detailed by labour department. (r) Cost of routine maintenance spares will be measured and paid separately under respective items here in after. However, cost of labour is deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted above.

Supply only sodium hypochlorite (Liquid chlorine) first quality, in sealed HDPE container of 10% concentration of standard capacity all as specified and directed. NOTES: (i) Necessary chemicals and testing kit (residual chlorine & PH) for testing of water samples at lab shall be provided by the Contractor and cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted. (ii) The quantity of dosage will be strictly in accordance with the instruction given in Operation and Maintenance manual all as specified and directed.

Testing of Sewage treated water sample collected from STP-II/IV overflow of settling tank for testing (Chemical Analysys of COD, BOD, SS, PH, O & G, DS, RSC, CI, SO4 and suspended solids) from KSPCB lab by standard procedure including cost of packing material for Sewage samples complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge..

M & L for cleaning including preparation of tanks/ separaters and any other part connected to STP and SLPH applying one coat of bituminous black paint all as specified and directed. NOTE for Ser item Nos 9.00 & 10.00: The rate quoted is deemed to include for emptying and preparation the surface of tanks and other parts of painting.

M & L for cleaning of primary settling tank at Amdalli by pumping out raw sewage, removing the sludge settled at the bottom, cleaning thoroughly with wire brush, finally cleaning with dilute solution of sodium hypochlorite & fresh water including writing letters on the tank with synthetic enamel paint as "TANK CLEANED ON ------(DATE) AND DUE ON ---DATE with 10 cm high stencil cut in English letter all as specified and directed.

Opening / checking and servicing the L T Panel board cubical type for pumpset located in Sewage Treatment Plant (STP-IV at Amdalli), cleaning the bus duct chamber, inspect the complete panel, tighten the nuts & bolts of incoming, outgoing MCCBs/SFU of different capacity and cleaning/ removal of moisture with CRC electrical parts cleaner, applying thick coating of Z931 strippex B and Z 955 strippex (SL) high temperature tape for preventing from flash over & fire hazard including replacement of 3 mm thick gasket, closing of all holes and changing of the same complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE: The quoted rate is deemed to include the nuts & bolts, washer and similar items required for proper functioning of the LT Panel board.

Labour only for routine checkup, tracing out the fault, finding out the snag & maint of electric power cum control panel by tightening all incoming/ outgoing connections including replacement of blown off electric fuses, indicating neon lamps assembly, making fresh connections with suitable size in guage wire lugs, setting of relays including cleaning using air blower of SLPH-1 & II complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for cleaning of Equilising tank at STP-II by pumping out raw sewage, removing the sludge settled at the bottom, cleaning thoroughly with wire brush, finally cleaning with dilute solution of sodium hypochlorite & fresh water additives of required level applying one coat of bituminous paint including writing letters on the tank with synthetic enamel paint as "TANK CLEANED ON ------(DATE) AND DUE ON ---DATE with 10 cm high stencil cut english letter all as specified and directed.

M & L for repairs/ overhauling to belt driven air compressor of make - Elgi Equipments Limited , working pressure 10 Kg/Sqcm with 1.5 HP motor by removing cylinder and piston, piston liners including replacements of all required parts like rings and washers, bearings and suction and discharge valves etc for proper functioning and re-assembling and installation and testing after repair/overhauling including painting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint after cleaning/ preparation of surface complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F in repairs of chemical dosier of flow rate 1 LPH capacity suitable for sodium hypochlorite solution with all accessories suitable for chemical dosing complete all as specified and as directed. MAKE: Milton Roy metering pump or equivalent as approved by GE.

M & L for opening of sand media filter gate of STP-IV of size 1.2 m dia and 1.5 m height after closing all inlet and outlet valves and removing old dirty sand media with old nuts & bolts /gasket/ washer from filter chamber and cleaning complete chamber, drying, preparation of surface and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint using spray gun and filling of new sand media as per standard procedure, fixing new old nuts & bolts/ gasket/ washer etc complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE :Filter media required shall be measured and paid as "Supply only" under respective item of this Schedule.
