M&L in replacement earthing for sub station equipments complete with galvanised mild steel plate electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 6.3 mm thick buried directly in ground vertically (in earth pit not less than 2.25 m below normal ground level) with the top edge of the earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5 m below normal ground level, the earth electrode surrounded by adequate quantity of charcoal dust and salt to a packed thickness of 15 cm on all sides and including GI earth strip 32 x 6 mm upto the extent 7.5Mtr bolted (with GI nuts, bolts & check nuts) and riveted to earth plate electrode at one end and connected to metallic bodies of HT/LT equipments etc at the other, earth strip encased in and including 40mm bore GI medium grade protection pipe with all fittings from top of electrode to body of equipment fixed with and including 40 x 6mm flat iron clamps, bolts, nuts and washer and also including providing watering pipe 20mm bore GI pipe medium grade from bottom of earth pit to top of electrode complete with earth pit in PCC 1:2:4 type B-O using 12.50 mm graded crushed stone aggregate, RCC cover, funnel, wire mesh including necessary excavation and earth work , etc.complete all as specified and shown in electrical plate No 3 of SSR Pt-I. Note : 1. Refilling of the earth pit shall be carried out with black cotton soil. 2. GI strip 32 x 6 mm & GI protection pipe 40 mm dia beyond upto 7.5 m length will be measured and paid separately.

M&L for Earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead 32 x 26 mm galvanized iron strip fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc complete including taking down existing old GI Strip all as specified and directed.
