| 1.01 | Construction of Modernized Kill House RCC framed construction with permanent specifications all as specified.
Note:- Plinth height (FFL) 60cm above existing average GL
and 45cm above Made-up Ground Level (MGL). Following additional specifications/instructions are given here as under for guidelines for execution of building work :-
(i) Outer Perimeter Wall -The outer perimeter wall of the Kill House shall be 230mm thick fly ash brick masonry wall with RCC framed structure (columns and beams). Brick masonry shall be in cement mortar 1:4 with RCC columns of minimum M25 grade concrete and Fe 500D TMT steel. RCC framed structure to comply with IS 456:2000 and brick masonry to comply with IS 2212.
(ii) Inner Structure- (a) Overall Dimensions: The inner RCC structure shall be 24.4m x 14m (excluding wall thickness) (Approx) as shown in Ground Floor Plan View.

| 1.02(c) Passages / Corridors: 2m wide passages shall be provided all around the two sets of rooms — on the North side, South side, East side (open passage below catwalk), West side (open passage below catwalk) and between the two sets of 4 rooms (centre corridor). Refer Ground Floor Plan View. (iii) Outer Shed (a) A covered shed shall cover the entire structure of the Kill House including all rooms, corridors, catwalk areas, waiting area and control room. (b) The basic structure shall comprise structural steel with Pre- painted galvalume aluminum zinc coating GI based corrugated steel sheet 0.50mm thick roofing system supported on roof trusses. (iv) Flooring- 100 mm thick PCC (1:2:4) over 100 mm thick PCC (1:4:8) over 200 mm thick hardcore, broken stone or boulders over rammed earth for entire Kill House and 2m compound area all around, as per specification. (v) Corridor -(a) 2m wide passages/corridors shall run all around the two sets of 4 rooms and between the two sets as shown in Ground Floor Plan View. (b) All room doors shall open into the corridor. (vi) Catwalk -(a) General: Two catwalks shall be provided on the first floor- one on each long side (East and West) of the inner structure, running parallel to each set of rooms. Each catwalk shall enable clear visual access to all rooms of the inner structure by a person standing on it. Refer First Floor Plan View. | |||||||
| 1.03(b) Dimensions: (i) Length: 24.4m per catwalk (full length of inner structure). (ii) Width: Minimum 2.00 m width. (iii) Floor Height: 2.6m above FFL (0.2m above room wall height of 2.4m — confirmed by sightline analysis). Catwalk deck to be weather resistant heavy duty steel with minimum load bearing capacity of 20 tonnes. (c) Observation Glass: The room-facing side of the catwalk perimeter wall shall have a 1.0m high bulletproof glass panel positioned between 3.6m and 4.6m above FFL (i.e. 1.0m above catwalk floor level), as shown in Section View A-A' and First Floor Plan (legend: Bulletproof glass of height 2.2m refers to total observation height from catwalk floor to glass top). (d) Railing: (i) Height: Minimum 1100mm above catwalk floor level as per IS 4756 / NBC 2016. (ii) Design: Double tubular horizontal rail type; vertical stanchion posts maximum 1500mm apart. (iii) Top rail: 40mm dia MS tube, 3mm wall thickness. Mid rail at 550mm height. Toe board minimum 100mm at floor level. (iv) Finish: Hot dip galvanised minimum 85 microns coating. (v) Load rating: Minimum 0.74 kN/m horizontal as per IS 875 Part-2. (e) Access: A common staircase located at the entry of the shoot house shall permit access to both catwalks without entering the inner structure. A corridor at first floor level as shown in First Floor Plan shall connect the staircase to both catwalks. | |||||||
| 1.04(vii) Control Room One control room of 3.6m x 5m with permanent structure shall be constructed adjacent to the inner structure at ground floor level as shown in Ground Floor Plan View.
