REPAIR/ REPLACEMENT TO HT 11 KV SYSTEM, BREAKERS, RMUs, REPAIR/REWINDING OF DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMERS, DEHYDRATION/ TOPPING-UP OF TRANSFORMER OIL INCLUDING ALLIED WORKS UNDER GE DSSC WELLINGTON

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5m wide and not exceeding 1.5m in depth for taking out/ laying of UG Cables, GI Pipe etc and getting out in hard dense soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Returning, filling in including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated material to a distance not exceeding 50 m & depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.50 m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for providing sand cushioning for protection of UG cable in trenches with riddled soil earth of approved quality including filling, spreading and punning down to desired thickness complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Riddled soil earth shall be approved by GE in writing before incorporation in work.

Supply and laying un-reinforced precast concrete cable cover, class HVP, Type 1, flat, size 300 x 180 x 40mm in trenches for protection of UG Cable with width equal to length of PCC cover, laid dry & flat complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply, laying, jointing & testing XLPE insulated, screened, PVC bedded, galvanized steel strip or wire armored, electric power heavy duty cables with stranded aluminium conductor, 11000 volts grade (Earthed), HT Cable of size 95 sqmm 3 core in trenches / through GI pipe / fixed along with pole structure etc complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE : Necessary earthwork, PCC etc. shall be measured & paid separately under relevant item(s) of BOQ.

All as per Item Sl No 6.00 here in before but of size 185 sqmm, 3 core.

Supply and fix GI pipe light grade of bore 100 mm with all running fittings laid in trenches, under road or fixing on wall/pole/crossing drain/nallah etc. complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Wherever GI Protection pipes are to be placed/fitted above earth surface, cost of necessary clamping/fixing arrangements to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-In-Charge is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rate.

Material and labour for Boring under road manually with labour suitable for inserting upto 100 mm bore pipe at a depth 0.75 to 1.0 mtr complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for Cutting the existing hard standing/ PCC/WBM road at a depth of not less than 60 cm & 30 cm in width for passing of HT cables through GI pipes, returning filling in, complete including finishing the surfaces by providing cement concrete 1:2:4 type B1 with 20 mm graded aggregate upto 20 cm, finishing to a uniform smooth surface complete all as specified and as directed.

NOTE for Item Nos 1.00, 9.00 &10.00 : Any damages made to the existing services of MES/WCB/TNEB/Other Depts like HT/LT UG cables, Water Supply/Sewage Pipe lines, OFC/BSNL/ITRC/Signal communication cables etc. during the excavation/boring/road cutting etc. during the progress of the work shall be made good with proper jointing kits etc. as per original to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-In-Charge & GE & the cost of the same is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates.

Supply and fix in replacement of Cable jointing kit for 11 KV (Earthed) grade cable for Outdoor end termination heat shrink type joint complete with jointing material and accessories suitable for HT Cable, 3 core XLPE armoured aluminium conductor cable of size 240 to 300 sq mm complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix in replacement of Cable jointing kit for 11 KV (Earthed) grade cable for Outdoor end termination heat shrink type joint complete with jointing material and accessories suitable for HT Cable, 3 core XLPE armoured aluminium conductor cable of size 50 to 95 sq mm complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix in replacement of Cable jointing kit for 11 KV (Earthed) grade cable for Outdoor end termination heat shrink type joint complete with jointing material and accessories suitable for HT Cable, 3 core XLPE armoured aluminium conductor cable of size 120 to 185 sq mm complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix in replacement of Cable jointing kit for 11 KV (Earthed) grade cable for Outdoor straight through heat shrink type joint complete with jointing material and accessories suitable for HT Cable, 3 core XLPE armoured aluminium conductor cable of size 50 to 95 sq mm complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix in replacement of Cable jointing kit for 11 KV (Earthed) grade cable for Outdoor straight through heat shrink type joint complete with jointing material and accessories suitable for HT Cable, 3 core XLPE armoured aluminium conductor cable of size 120 to 185 sq mm complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for Earthing complete with Galvanised steel earth plate electrode 600 x 600 x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground (in vertical position) earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr below normal ground level with the top edge of the earth plate not less than 1.5 m below ground level and connected to GI earth strip 32 x 6 mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts, and washers of galvanized iron including PCC pit & cover with suitable handle, including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil, 20 mm dia med grade galvanized steel tube for watering with one end fixed with suitable funnel and wire mesh, 40 mm bore medium grade galvanized steel tubing for drawing earth lead GI strip protection & common salt, charcoal in alternate layers etc. complete all as shown in EP No 3 of SSR Part 1 and testing on completion complete all as specified and as directed.

NOTES: On completion of the work/job the Contractor is to perform earth resistance tests for each earthing job in the presence of the Engineer-In-Charge or his rep & submit test certificates duly signed & certified. If the test results are not satisfactory or not within the permissible limits of relevant Standards/IS then the job is to be redone without any extra cost to the Department till the results are satisfactory.

Material and labour for laying earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead of 32 x 6 mm galvanised iron strip, fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc, as required complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for Coarse River Sand filling, levelling, watering & consolidation in 15 cm layers on the level ground surface and including cleaning in Sub-Station complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for Spreading & levelling of stone aggregates of size 40 to 60 mm on sand filling in the Sub-Station complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for PCC 1:2:4 Type B-2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate for transformer platform / plinth etc. including necessary formwork & 15 mm thick rendering using CM 1:4 & finishing the surface even & smooth using extra cement complete all as specified & as directed.

Material and labour for Cutting grass, bushes, creepers, weeds, unwanted plants/growths, area cleaning etc in and around Electric Supply Installations, LT Panels, Feeder Pillar Boxes or any other locations as decided by Engineer-in-Charge/ GE and removing rubbish off the premises complete all as specified & as directed. Supply and fix Pin type, porcelain vitreous brown insulator including one galvanised mild steel spindle, two galvanised iron washers and one galvanised iron nut, 150 mm height, 150 mm dia suitable for 11000 volts grade complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix Lightening Arrester non-linear metal oxide type, complete with all fittings, transmission/distribution class, discharge capacity 65 KA suitable for 11 KV out door type including necessary connection and fittings all as per IS-3070 Part-III and IEC 1994 including dismantling of old unserviceable lightening arrestor including strap bolts, nuts and washers etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix Tinned copper flexible Jumper of current rating 200A/400A (as per ground requirement) of minimum 2 m length suitable for operating voltage 11 KV, after carefully removing the old unserviceable flexible jumpers from AB switches complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for Swing out Expulsion Fuse single pole (Drop Out Fuse) with fuse carrier , fuse element mounted on insulator & fitted on steel frame etc for 11000 volts of capacity 25 Amps complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for anti climbing devices, comprising 2.24mm dia galvanised steel 2-strand barbed wire with 2.00mm dia barbs wrapped spirally round poles, to a length of 0.5 to 1.0 metre clamped and properly secured complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix Switch Air Break, gang operated (GOD), out door type, triple pole, HT 11 KV, 400 Amps, vertical type with 9 insulators mounted with fixed contacts of phosphor bronze and moving contacts of copper, manually operated from ground level with operating mechanism including mild steel galvanised medium grade 25mm bore single length operating rod, pad locking arrangement complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for Servicing the existing Gang operated Air Break switch, operated from ground, of any type/capacity, 11 KV, 3 Pole, including greasing or by applying petroleum jelly, replacing worn out/damaged/rusted contacts (both Male & Female), nuts, bolts, washers, etc and providing coloured sleeves for jumper connections complete all as specified and as directed.

Disconnecting HT/ LT connection of transformer, 11000/433V, 3 Phase, 4 wire system and opening up the top cover of transformer of capacity 100 KVA to 250 KVA for checking the conditions to carryout repairs at site, including draining out oil from the transformer in suitable container and repair to the transformer with replacement of parts (as required), checking the lead connection from winding to bush rods including necessary soldering/jointing etc and after complete repair, refilling the dehydrated oil, replacing perished gasket with new gasket of same size and testing on full load after connecting the HT/LT connections etc complete all as specified and as directed.

Disconnecting HT/LT connection of transformer, 11000/433V, 3 Phase, 4 wire system and opening up the top cover of transformer of capacity 300 KVA to 500 KVA for checking the conditions to carryout repairs at site, including draining out oil from the transformer in suitable container and repair to the transformer with replacement of parts (as required), checking the lead connection from winding to bush rods including necessary soldering/jointing etc and after complete repair, refilling the dehydrated oil, replacing perished gasket with new gasket of same size and testing on full load after connecting the HT/LT connections etc complete all as specified and as directed. Note for Item No 29.00 & 30.00:- (i) The spares parts required shall be measured and paid separately. (ii) Dehydration of Transformer Oil will be measured and paid separately

Supply only Gasket cork Sheet 6 mm thick superior quality complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply only HT bushing with brass spindle of transformer 11/0.433 KV of capacity up to 500 KVA complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply only LT bushing with brass spindle of transformer 11/0.433 KV of capacity up to 500 KVA complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix in replacement of silica gel clear view type of 11 KV/0.433 KV transformer capacity up to 500 KVA complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix in replacement of breather assembly clear view type of 11 KV/0.433 KV transformer capacity up to 500 KVA complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix in replacement of Dial type Temperature gauge, 0 to 100o C range complete with suitable to any make, type and capacity of transformer complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and filling in Transformers with Transformer oil first hand of dielectric strength not less than 60 KV at 2.5 mm Gap, conforming to IS-335 including testing of BDV of Oil complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge/ GE.

Material and labour for Dehydration/Filtration of Transformer oil of Transformer/Switch gears using on load mobile stream line transformer oil filtration plant (hot oil filtration plant) at site for removing the moisture contents and carbon deposits from the oil and bringing it to the dielectric strength not less than 60 KV AT 2.5 mm Gap after filtration including testing of Break Down Voltage of Oil complete all as specified and as directed.

Note for Item Nos 37.00 & 38.00 : Necessary filling equipment's/devices/clean empty drums etc. shall be arranged by the contractor & cost of the same is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates.

Material and labour for preparing old painted outer surfaces of Transformers, 11/0.433 KV including all exposed surfaces of steel items fixed with the transformer without dismantling and applying two coats of weather proof synthetic enamel paint of approved grade/ shade including writing of SM/ MES numbers and Capacity of Transformer including disconnecting HT/ LT connection of transformer at site etc complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge/ GE for Transformers of following capacity :

100 KVA to 250 KVA capacity

300 KVA to 500 KVA capacity

Material and labour for preparing old painted surfaces and applying two coats of aluminium paint on HT Steel tubular poles of any type/ size for 2-pole structure including cross arms, back plates, bracings, all exposed surfaces of steel items fixed with the pole without dismantling complete including disconnecting HT connection of structure etc complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge/ GE.

All as per item No. 40.00 described here-in-before but for 3/4 pole structure.

Supply and fix Danger notice plate for HT of size 25 cm x 20 cm x 1.60 mm size, mild steel sheet, vitreous, powder coated, letters and figures and conventional skull & bones in signal red colour and fixed with MS clamps bolts of required size complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and Labour for opening the cover of HT 11 KV 630A-800A, RMU Panel, cleaning the fixed and moving contacts inside the VCB properly, checking of alignment of spring charging mechanism, servicing and greasing all movable mechanism, replacement of defective MCB, wiring and checking the battery charger and the indoor cable terminal Boots complete all as specified and directed. Note : Overhauling shall be done through OEM only

Supply and fix in replacement of Indoor Cable terminal Boot (set of 3) for HT 11 KV 630A-800 A, RMU Panel etc complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix in repair Battery 7 AH (02 Nos) , 12V DC with inbuilt charging unit for HT 11 KV 630A RMU Panel etc complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix in Gas spring Piston complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for overhauling of VCB unit of capacity up 630 A to 800A, 11 KV, 250 MVA of any make/ model for servicing, repairs, door assembly unit and re-assembling complete comprising of essential/ necessary services including testing and commissioning to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge/ GE. Note : Overhauling shall be done through OEM only

Note for Item Nos 43.00 & 44.00 : Subject job of Overhauling/Repair of RMU & VCB units shall comprise of the following essential/necessary services/jobs : (i) SF 6 gas pressure level to be checked. (ii) SF 6 gas filling to be carried out when the gas pressure is low. (iii) All the connected meters to be checked and calibrated if required. (iv) Checking of control wiring, Push buttons, Indication lamps, tripping coil, tightening and any other related defects to be rectified/replaced in the event of non-functioning/working. (v) Checking and calibration of connected relays. (vi) Cost of additional hardware like bolts, nuts, washers, spring washers etc. to put the RMU/VCB in 100% serviceable condition is deemed to be included in the rates quoted. (vii) The complete job of overhauling/servicing of the RMU/VCB Units is to be got done from the OEM/Sister concern/Auth channel partner only & in the presence of rep of Engineer-in-Charge. (viii) All works shall be carried out with the help of pre-planned programs so that shutdowns can be given in a systematic manner. The pre-planned program shall be submitted by the contractor in consultation with the Engineer-in-Charge. Contractor shall not be able to claim any compensation if a scheduled shut down could not be given on dates planned for. (ix) Test certificate in Original duly signed by the Reps of OEM/Contractor & MES after repair/overhauling is to be submitted by the contractor.

Material and labour for Disconnection/ dismantling of the below mentioned plinth/pole mounted outdoor type 11/0.433 KV Step Down Transformers of capacity 100 KVA to 500 KVA from primary/secondary side, transportation to MES Power House or workshop by crane or any other mode for carrying out the repairs, decanting transformer oil, storing the same in suitable clean containers, disconnecting the live parts, opening the top cover, dismantling bushing, lifting core assy, checking the winding for slackness, winding burning, distortion of core winding, cleaning and drying the tank, varnishing, baking by oven heating, cleaning conservator, cooling tube including necessary leak testing, lowering of complete core assembly inside the fully cleaned transformer, after repair and testing & re-installation in original/new position, connection of cables on primary/secondary side and commissioning complete including taking out of temporary installed transformer (if any) after necessary disconnection of cables from primary/ secondary side for transformer capacity 315KVA to 400KVA etc complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge/GE.

Notes for Item No 45 : (i) Items/ Jobs w.r.t. disconnection/ dismantling of Transformer for repair/rewinding etc. shall be executed only as per the direction of Engineer-In-Charge as on reqmt basis. (ii) Rate quoted is deemed to be inclusive of cost of transportation of Transformer (if any) from worksite to workshop & back. (iii) Rate quoted is deemed to be inclusive of cost of factory inspection (if any) by Engineer-In-Charge/GE during currency of the work/job as part of work check/supervision. (iv) Replacement/Topping Up/Dehydration of Transformer oil, defective spares like gasket, breathers, porcelain bush with copper stud, nuts, bolts, washers, re-winding etc. shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items.

Material and labour for Copper wire for H.V. (11 KV) coils including high quality paper insulation (DPI) complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for Copper strip for H.V. (11 KV) coils including high quality paper insulation (DPI) complete all as specified and as directed.

Notes for Item Nos 46.00 & 47.00 : (i) Items/Jobs w.r.t. re-winding of HV/LV coils/limbs shall be executed only as per the direction of Engineer-In-Charge/GE as on reqmt basis. (ii) Gauge and quality of copper wire shall be got approved from Engineer-In-Charge & GE prior to commencement of each work/job. (iii) Rate quoted is deemed to be inclusive of cost of factory inspection (if any) by Engineer-In-Charge/GE during currency of the work/job as part of work check/ supervision. (iv) IR values shall be taken after re-winding in the presence of JE E/M/Engineer-In-Charge & report generated duly signed by all concerned.

Supply and fix Cross arms, bracings supports, clamps and back plates fabricated from structural steel sections including nuts, bolts ,washers, welding bending cold or hot drilling holes for bolts in any shape or size taking down and including all fixing arrangement on four pole/Two pole structure and painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Transportation of Trolley Mounted/ Spare 11/0.433 KV Distribution Transformer of capacity upto 500 KVA from Sub-Stn No-02 or any other location to any of the Sub-Station locations under GE DSSC or vice-versa by crane or any other mode & making HT & LT Cable Connections, temporary Earthing connections etc including charging & testing of the Transformer complete all as specified & as directed.

Material and labour for pre-painted galvalume aluminium zinc coating GI based plain steel sheet 0.50 mm thick of approved colour having tensile strength of 550 Mpa as in roof covering/cladding to wall etc fixed with self tapping screws complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for painting of new steel surfaces of any description, over a 10 cm in width or girth, not otherwise described and applying 2 coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer etc complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for chain link fencing including line wires, any size/ type of standard rails/ angles, straining bolts including provn of binding wires etc complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for MS angle iron post / struts in fencing including cutting tops to shape as directed, drilling holes, notching for wire etc., flat iron fillets for securing wire mesh conforming to Fe-290 E-165 including painting with one coat of red oxide primer & two coats of aluminium paint complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for PCC 1:3:6, type B1 with using 20 mm graded stone aggregate as in platform / floor complete all as specified and as directed.

Excavating in post holes (or similar holes) each not exceeding 0.5 cum, getting out, returning, filling in and ramming earth or broken rubble mixed with earth around, in layers not exceeding 25 cm watering, and removing surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50m and making good surface in hard/ dense soil all as specified and as directed

Supply only for HT Fuse Wire 10 Amps to 100 Amps complete all as specified and directed.

Supplying and laying synthetic Rubber insulated mats 2.5 mm thick for voltage upto 11 KV for electrical purpose as per IS 15652-2006, (superseding IS 5424) suitable for electrical shock safety of sizes 2m x 1m all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for cable route indicator using RCC post 1.20 mtr long, top 100 x 100 mm & bottom 200 x 200 mm, with height not less than 50 cm above GL with marking " MES HT CABLE " in bold letters with brown colour during refilling of the trench complete all as specified and as directed. Note : The spacing between two consecutive cable route indicators shall not be more than 50.0 meters & also shall be provided at each & every bend or corner.
