Water proofing treatment in the RCC Roof slab/ Portico Slab

Surface preparation

Step-1 Removal of all the roof tiles, if exist and cleaning the same to remove the loose particles, debris, dust etc., then saturating the surface with water, including cost of labour, consumables, tools and tackles etc., complete.

Step-2 Providing and applying Koster Polysil TG 500/ Dr. Fixit or equivalent primer on the prepared surface as per manufacturers specifications, including cost of materials, labour, consumables, tools and tackles, etc., complete.

Step-3 Providing and applying Talrak Flexeal Elastic. Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP or equivalent waterproofing coating on the primed surface in two coats, as per manufacturers specifications, including cost of materials, labour, consumables, tools and tackles, etc., complete.

Step-4 Providing and applying Koster Polysil TG 500/ Dr. Fixit or equivalent primer on the prepared surface as per manufacturers specifications, including cost of materials, labour, consumables, tools and tackles, etc., complete.

Step-5 Providing and laying vapour barrier polyethyene film of 200 gsm or equivalent without any wrinkles, as per manufacturers specification, including cost of materials, labour, consumables, tools and tackles etc., complete.

Step-6 Providing and laying Non- Woven geotextile sheet or equivalent over the vapour barrier, as per manufacturers specification, including cost of materials, labour, consumables, tools and tackles etc., complete.

Step-7 Providing and laying M20 Fibre Reinforcement Concrete Screed over the treated surface as per direction of Engineer in charge.

Removing white or colour wash by scrapping and sand papering and preparing the surface smooth including necessary repairs to scratches etc. complete

Providing and applying white cement based putty of average thickness1 mm, of approved brand and manufacturer, over the plastered wall surface to prepare the surface even and smooth complete.

Applying one coat of water thinnable cement primer of approved brand and manufacture on wall surface :

Distempering with 1st quality acrylic distemper, having VOC (Volatile Organic Compound ) content less than 50 grams/ litre, of approved brand and manufacture, including applying additional coats wherever required, to achieve even shade and colour. Two or more coats

Painting with synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture of required colour to give an even shade : One or more coats on old work.
