Rates include fastening of rail with sleepers with standard set of fastenings and fixing of fish plates and bolts or, if required, providing gap for welding and stacking of released material without infringement within 250m as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Rail drilling and cutting to be paid separately.
RM Replacement of any type of sleepers in track with PSC sleepers lying on cess or at Bridge Approaches for casual renewal at isolated locations with all fittings complete to specified gauge & cross level with contractor's tools including packing and dressing of ballast, as directed by Engineer in-charge. Released materials shall be neatly stacked and handed over at specified location within an average lead of 250 m or near either side of Bridge approaches as directed.

Note: GRSP will be supplied at SSE/stores/depot. Lubrication of fish plated rail joints under traffic, by using Grease Graphite Grade 'O' (IS:408) and Black oil supplied by contractor, for all types of rail sections as per procedure laid down in latest version of IRPWM and as directed by Engineer In charge. Note: Release U/S bolt & nuts is to be deposited back. If any fish bolts is jammed it should be cut with chisel and hammer and replaced with fresh fish bolt supplied.
100000.00 with contractor's grease, conforming to Railway's specifications, labour etc. complete as per procedure prescribed in latest edition of IRPWM. Lubrication of Plate/Rail screws of Points and crossings, SEJs, Bridges, Curves etc., with greases graphite, including removal of screws carefully without damaging sleepers, cleaning with wire brush etc., both screws and dowel hole, applying grease graphite, refixing the screw and sealing the top and sides of screw with grease graphite to prevent ingress of moisture and corrosion with contractors labour, tools, consumables under traffic condition all lead and lift complete.
Each Scattered renewal or replacement of missing / worn-out fittings with Railway's fittings for track/Points & Crossings sleepers including leading to required location for the work and the released fittings shall be collected and neatly stacked, as directed by the Engineer In charge. Note: New fittings shall be supplied from and released material shall be deposited at, nearest P.Way Stores.

Maintenance of BG main line track laid with Per 60kg/52kg rails on PSC sleepers with PSC Track sleepers M+7 density for main line, M+4 Metre density for loop line and points and crossings on PSC sleepers including picking up slacks, through packing, maintaining the track on straight and curved alignment, level crossing gates, guard rails in bridges with all operations such as examination of rails, sleepers and fastenings, squaring of sleepers, re-spacing of sleepers, lifting of sags, slewing of track to correct level, gauge and alignment, greasing of gauge face of curves and points and crossings, lubrication of SEJs, packing, boxing of ballast, recouping of P.Way fittings, cess repairs etc., as per para 224 of IRPW manual and LWR manual with all contractor's labour, tools, including jacks, rail dollies, supervisors, all lead and lifts involved etc., complete as per the relevant paras of IRPW manual as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer- in-charge. (a)The Maintenance shall be carried out as per the IRPWM manual Para -224 and chapter 6 of LWR Manual (b)The Slacks noticed during the inspection of JE/P.Way/SE/P.Way and officials shall be attended immediately to the satisfaction of Engineer in-charge/ (c) (i)Minimum Gangs of 10 nos. labour are required to maintain a length of 8 TKm with 1 No. Supervisors [Gang mates](ii) In case Contractor depute person less than as above, the recovery @ Rs.500/- per day per labour & @ Rs.1000/- per day per Mate will be made. (d)The contractor shall appoint the retired Mate/supervisor as his representative to maintain the track parameters in straight/curved track. (e)Payment shall be released based on the record maintained by SE/JE/P.Way at site for the work done. (f)The lifting of track, picking of slacks and through packing of track shall be carried out by the contractor as per the instructions of ADEN/DEN/Sr DEN of section during their inspections. No extra payment shall be made towards this work during maintenance. (g) The length of each points and crossing will be considered as 1.50 times the length of turn out while making the payment. (h)(i) Payment shall be released after completion of maintenance of track for every month (30 days) of maintenance for the actual length of track maintained. i) The rates provided caters for maintaining one running meter of track for a period of one month. If the same stretch is to be attended again for any number of times within a period of one month, no extra payment will be done.
Supplying and fixing standard plastic dowels as Each per RT/3002 Drg. No T/30 for fixing the standard plate screws as per drawing no. T - 3915. A sample of plastic dowels shall get approved before execution of work. Rail screws shall be supplied by free of railways. Note:- 1) Fixing of new dowels in holes with epoxy and required quantity of epoxy to be provided by contractors at his own cost. Rate to be quoted accordingly. 2) Location shall be identified in advance 100% test checked by concerned ADEN as a proof of identification and got signed. Then only the work can start. Clearing of grass/vegetation bushes etc. from TRM cess up to a distance of 1 meter from the edge of ballast along the track including shaving with spade and dressing of ballast along the edge with contractor's labour, T b& P etc. complete and as directed by site. Note- Location shall be identified in advance 100% test checked by concerned ADEN as a proof of identification and got signed. Then only the work can start. Special condition (i)The rate is inclusive of all lead, lift, labour, transportation, taxes, royalties, tools and plants, machinery etc. complete for carrying out the work. (ii) The rates are inclusive of uprooting the bushes/grass upto 60 cm below the ground level and levelling the cess after uprooting the bushes/grass. Rate includes disposing of grass, vegetations, bushes etc. away from the Railway land boundary on contractor's own cost.(iii) Rates are inclusive of proper dressing of ballast as per IRPWM and as instructed by the Engineer at site. (iv)The rates are inclusive for filling of pits and repair of cess, formation in proper slope as per the instruction of Engineer-in-charge at site.

Providing battery (rechargeable) operated LED Set lightening arrangement on hiring basis at work site during night hours i.e minimum 8hrs. (No claim will be entertained at a later stage regarding the duration of block working) with 4no of LED light of 100watt each (lightening of each LED light equivalent to 500watt of Halogen light) during night block. The rates are inclusive of all contractor's equipment, labour for operation, manning, transportation of lightening arrangement and its accessories from depot to site of work and back with all lead and lift with contractor's own transportation arrangement. 4no LED light with fittings with lead wires of 200metre or of required distance with each LED light, spare batteries. consumable, spare and other tools and plants etc. complete as per the instruction of engineering in-charge at site. Providing of pre-tamping & post tamping Per operation as mentioned in Para 3.1.2 (ii), (iii), Track (ix), (xi), (xiii), (xiv) and Para 3.1.4 (i), (ii), (iii), Metre (iv) and (vi) of IR Track Machine Manual with contractor's labour, tools and plants complete. Items include i) Recoupment of deficient ballast and removal of excess ballast as per site condition to ensure smooth and effective tamping ii) Recoupment of missing fittings like liners, ERCs and tightening of fittings. iii) Removal of joggle fish plates along with wooden block before tamping and refixing the same after tamping along with packing of wooden block and tightening of all bolts and clamps. iv) Squaring and respacing of PRC sleeper to correct spacing and gauging by providing proper liners. v) Removal and re- fixing of guard rail on bridges and check rail on level crossings.vi) Removal and refixing of traction bonds during the block. vii) Manual packing of left over sleepers not packed by machine i.e. SEJ, Glued joints, Fish plated joints, axle, TUs etc. using lifting jacks if required to maintain same alignment and level. viii) Boxing, dressing and ramming of ballast after tamping and replacement of broken fittings. Note: 1. Stages of payment a) 30% of the rate will be paid on completion of pre tamping attention, b) Balance 70% of the rate will be paid on completion of post tamping. 2. A set of machinery shall consist of two pavement breakers and one compressor with required accessories for excavation of work. One operator and two helpers shall be deputed with each set. The rate is inclusive of all contractors labour, tools and plants, leads, lifts, approaches to site, transportation, fuel, lubricant spaces, all taxes etc. complete for the successful completion of work for the purpose of payment, one compressor and two pavement breakers from one set.

The pumps are to be installed at low level areas in working condition as instructed by the engineering-in-charge at site. The rate is inclusive of contractors own 12.5 HP pumps, hose pipe (Discharged pipe approx. 100 M), one operator/mechanic/ watchman for manning the pump round the clock, labor for installation, all leads, lifts, crossing of tracks, transportation, all taxes etc. complete. Whenever there are heavy rains and rise in water levels, the pumps are to be operated and dewatering is to be carried out successfully. Only diesel for operation of the pumps shall be made available at the stores of concerned CPWI or any supervisor in charge office in suburban section based on availability at free of cost. The contractor has to make his own arrangement of transportation of fuel to site of working.
