Excavating over areas, n exc 1.5 m deep and getting out in any type of soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Returning filling in including spreading leveling watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm, complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated soil to a distance exceeding 1.50km but not exceeding 5.00km and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point, complete all as specified and as directed.

Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting, with power road roller 8 to 12 tonne capacity or any other approved compactor where rolling by road roller is not feasible, to achieve 98% PROCTER DENSITY to required level, gradient, slope, camber and super elevation including watering as necessary and filling in hollows and depressions which may occur during the process of rolling with and including approved earth, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Hard core (broken stone or boulders) of guage n exe.63mm deposited, spread and levelled in layers n exe. 15 cm thick watered and rammed to a true surface, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for 150 mm thick PCC 1:4:8 nominal mix, type D-2, using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate as in sub bases of floor complete all as specified, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L Stone sett flooring with stone setts using best quality granite/basalt/trap/quartzite stone, of size 200 to 250mm long, 150 to 200mm wide and 150mm deep and sides dressed; bedded in cement mortar 1:3, joints 20mm thick; grouted in cement mortar 1:2 with an admixture of metallic floor hardner 5% by weight of cement and struck flush, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L Edge stones to flooring with stone setts using best quality granite/basalt/trap/quartzite stone, of size 250 to 300mm long x l50 to 200mm wide, and 450mm deep and sides dressed; bedded in cement mortar 1:3, joints 20mm thick; grouted in cement mortar 1:2 with an admixture of metallic floor hardner 5% by weight of cement and struck flush, complete all as specified and as directed.

NOTE for item No 7.00 & 8.00 here-in-before: - 1. Petrographic analysis and other tests of rock/stone shall be carried out as per IS-2386-8 from NAOL/Govt approved lab by the contractor at his own cost before approval of sample by GE and stone setts to be used shall be suitable for movement of heavy/very heavy vehicles. 2. Metallic hardeners in the topping of floors, pavings or in cement mortar for grouting of stone setts for increasing abrasion resistance shall be Ironite, Hardonate, Ferronite or other equal and approved metallic floor hardeners. 3. For light or heavy duty floors, metallic floor hardener and cement shall be thoroughly mixed to an even colour in dry state in the proportion recommended by the manufacturer. This mixture shall be mixed with crushed granite/ basalt/trap as indicated (6mm and down) in the proportion 1:2 by volume. Requisite amount of water shall then be added to form a workable mixture. 4. Use of Sedimentary stones shall not be permitted.
