Comprehensive Repair/maint of roads at Khanabal Garrison under GE 861 EWS

M&L preparation of existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked, mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags or mechanical air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer @ 5 Kg/ 10 Sqm of paving bitumen of Grade VG-10, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete (SDAC) 30mm thick (consolidated thickness) with 5.5% binder content of paving bitumen of Grade VG-30 by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient using 10 to 12 tonne power roller and laying with mechanical paver, complete all as specified and directed. Notes :- (a) Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be prepared in central computerised hot mix plant. (b) Design mix shall be got done by the contractor at his own expenses from NABL laboratory as decided by GE. (c) Contractor shall quote his rates by considering binder content @ 5.5% of total mix by weight, however in case of any variation in weight of binder contents on lower side as per actual mix design, the same shall be ajusted @ Rs. 60.00 Per Kg of bitumen. (d) The SDAC will be provided on existing road also.

M&L preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 1.25 mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows, etc. and the line not exceeding 10cm in width with applied hot thermoplastic road marking paint of approved colour (white or golden yellow), confirming to BS-3262-1989 with special applicator machine and including traffic diverson arrangement, complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Marking shall be carried out with thermostat machine.
