REPAIRS / RESURFACING OF ROAD IN NEW TECHNICAL AREA AT INS KATTABOMMAN UNDER GE TIRUNELVELI

Providing and applying 2.5mm thick road marking paint (retroreflective) of specified shade/colour etc. either continuous or broken lines over existing or new painting surface of cement or bituminous surface by using thermoplastic material "Brand :- Road king or equivalent brand approved Morth, IRTC including supply of paint material at the rate of 5Kg/Sqm & glass beads at the ratio 0.30 Kg/sqm (Reflective Index 1.5) by using semi-automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material , labour, T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foregin material etc. complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge and in accordance with applicable specification. Note:- Retro reflective paint shall be applied as per manufacturers instructions alongwith MORTH Technology and speciality complete.

Surface dressing not exceeding 15 cm deep as in berms including removal, complete all as specified and directed

Material and labour for 75 mm thick (spread thickness) moorum / red bajri, filling in roads, spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber as required, complete all as specified and directed.

Scarifying or picking gravelled macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces exceeding 50 mm deep and not exceeding 100 mm deep area not exceeding 400 sqm, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for 7.5 cms thick WBM (water bound macadam), in one layer with coarse aggregates of granite, trap or basalt, grading 2 (63 to 40 mm size), spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber as required, complete all as specified and directed.

Description all as per Sl item No. 5 here-in-before but except stone aggregates, i.e. using old aggregates obtained from scarifying.

Material and labour for preparing unsurfaced water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc., and applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with paving bitumen VG 10 @ 10 Kg/ 10 Sqm all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete (SDAC), 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content of paving bitumen by weight of total mix using VG-30 grade bitumen, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete using mechanical paver and rolled using power roller 8 to 12 tonne capacity complete all as specified and directed. Note : The contractor's quoted rates shall also be deemed to include the following element : (i) In case of variation in the binder content as per approved design mix in comparison with the binder content as specified above, the variation in qty of binder content on lesser side shall be adjusted through supply only rate of Bitumen VG-30.

Repair to pot holes,any depth not exceeding 1 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc, cutting around edges to at least 25mm depth, making good by filling in screened and graded road metal, watering and well ramming , including supply of road metal/aggregates, complete all as specified and directed.

Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc., and applying evenly a priming / tack coat with paving bitumen VG 10 @ 5 Kg /10 Sqm, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete (SDAC), 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content of paving bitumen by weight of total mix using VG-30 grade bitumen, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete using mechanical paver and rolled using power roller 8 to 12 tonne capacity complete all as specified and directed. Supply and fix in repair for Yellow two side Road stud as per Is specification installed in asphaltic surface by drilling hole 30mm upto a depth of 60mm and bedded in a suitable adhesive of epoxy mortar and fixed with suitable dia bolt in drilled hole etc complete all as specified and directed. Make: 3M Model No. RPM 290 ILC 2Y or equivelent in Dark Eye/Greens or Greenite/ Ace/Trafitronics/Lion/Automat/Oscar as approved by GE .

Supply and fix in repair for Metal rectangular 3M delinator of size 100 mm x 1100mm x 20 mm, black and white strips fitted in panels at the delinators both side and delineator fixed in PCC block of size 300x300x 450 mm with type 1:2:4 B1 including exacavation , returning filling and removal of surplus soil complete all as specified and directed. Make : 3M Model No. IA510100505 or equivalentin Dark Eye/Greens or Greenite/ Ace/Trafitronics/Lion/Automat/Oscar as approved by GE
