Taking down defective centrifugal pump set 25 HP by disconnecting the pump from motor after unscrewing nuts/ bolts of coupling, foundation, suction pipe delivery pipes and shifting of pump to workshop for repair/ servicing, comprising strip opening of pump, replacement of any defective parts, carrying out necessary lathe work, re-assembling and shifting from workshop to site, re-installation at location as directed by Engr-in-Charge, testing on full load capacity at least for 8 hrs, complete all as specified and as directed. Make of Pump : Kirloskar Note :- (a) The spares shall be measured and paid seperately in the relevent items given below. (b) Cost of labour for replacement of spares and transportation are deemed to be incl in the quoted rate. (c) The pumpset shall be spared for one week for repair from the date of complaint given by AGE/ JE E/M regarding breakdown. The Contractor is responsible for making alternate arrangement of pump set in case of time required more than one week. (d) In case services affected due to delay in repair of pump set, a penalty of Rs 500.00 per day will be levied from the contractor. (e) Please note that this penalty is exclusively other than the condition 56 of IAFW-2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract. (f) The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final and binding.

Material and labour for repair/overhauling of submersible pump set up to 15 HP capacity of, and any stage by replacing bushes, impeller thrust bearings, strainer, nuts and bolts, washers, pump shaft remetalling, grinding, polishing complete reassembling the pump winding the motor and testing, including painting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint after preparing the surface complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for repairs of star delta starter of pump set 25 HP by replacing over load relay of suitable current rating,timer relay ,single phase preventor , spare kit contacts for contactor, terminals, short pieces of copper wire duly crimped with bottle lugs etc. and any other spares as required for proper functioning and monitoring of pump set all as specified and directed.

Dismantling, Rewinding of 25HP centrifugal motor, with suitable size of copper enamelled winding wire and insulating materials, varnishing of pump set, bushes and any other parts require for proper functioning and re-assembling, connecting and testing complete all as specified and directed .

Taking down and relaying of existing serviceable GI tubing / connection in new or old positions including cleaning, cutting, threading all as directed, along with new GI fittings where ever replaced and required at site of site 50 mm bore complete all as specified directed. Material and labour for Fabricate supply and fix valve chamber covers made out of suitable size MS angle/MS plate/flat/rod, hinges, locking arrangement including painting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over one coat of red oxide primer including removimg existing unserviceable rusted cover all as directed.

Material and labour for Painting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over coat of zink chrome on surfaces of any description, over 10cm in width or girth,not otherwise described all as specified and directed.

Demolition of Brickwork or precast concrete block walling including wall quoins, arches, pillars, etc, but excluding ashlar facings, dressed stone work and concrete articles built in cement mortar complete all as specified or directed.

M&L for Pre-cast cement concrete block masonry with solid blocks, exc. 10 cm in width and setting in in cement mortor 1 : 4, complete, in walls all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for attending day to day water supply service related complaints like choking of rising main pipes of buildings, blockage in control valves/ float valves/ pipe fittings, etc, applying necessary engineering efforts like dismantle of pipes and fittings to clean and remove blocking objects, descaling of pipes, re-fixing of pipes on wall, etc to restore the proper flow of water to service tanks all as specified and directed.

Note :- (a) The contractor has to attend above mentioned job in any location of entire CQAE (WE) Area

(b) The service tanks are positioned on roof top of multi storied buildings upto three storey. Contractor is responsible to ensure that the labour employed should be equipped with safety items like industrial helmet, safety belt, extensible ladder of 40 feet length, plumbing and cuttings tools, etc.

(c) The cost of rethreading of GI pipes of 25mm dia and adding of new GI nipple of suitable length after rethreading is deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(d) Due to shortage of water in the station, the repair work and testing required under this item need to be carried out during water supply distribution hours i.e. 5:30 AM to 7:30 AM. Nothing extra shall be permitted in this regard.

(e) The cost of repair to the damages of cemented surfaces/ external finishes/ metal clamps of rising pipes are also deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(f) In case of any delay in attending the complaint more than 6 hrs after handing over routine/urgent complaints, the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty as described in penalty clause given here as under.

(g) If the delay is more than 06 hrs period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs 100/- per job shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor. Please note that this penalty is exclusively other than the condition 56 of IAFW - 2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforce above as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Deptt.

(h) The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final and binding.

Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of maintenance free chemical earthing system comprising of 17mm dia copper bonded rod 3 mtr long horizontally pre welded T-terminal rod with provision for connection size of 50 x 150mm long, 6mm thickness with equal space either side, with 12mm dia hole of 02 numbers each on either side of the terminal clamp with 250 microns (average) coating thickness, tested and certified by CPRI India alongwith 50 Kg earth energizer compound and 10 litres earth resistance reducing liquid. The earthing energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be tested as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTM G57-06, CI 3.4 Amp by any NABL accredited lab. The above mentioned rod shall be installed in 4-6 inch bore, 12 feet depth with a distance of minimum 3 meters between each installation including taking down existing one, complete all as specified and directed. Make : Model HTSP 317 of safeTrode or equivalent in OBO Betterman/ FURSE/ERICO.

The quoted rate shall also deemed to be included the following :- (i) Prior to installation of maintenance free chemical earthing, soil resistivity test to be carried out at the location where earthing work to be done in presence of Engr-in- Charge/JE (E/M),user and the report has to submit to Garrison Engineer with recommendation of manufacturer, if required additional interconnection of earthing (not more than 04 number of earthing) to achive earth result less then 1 Ohms. The arrangement done for soil resistivity testing and submission of report with recommendation deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(ii) The description/ size/ qty of items mentioned in above are for indicating only however qty/ size may vary at site condition to maintain the earth resistance 1 ohm. The contractor shall quote rate by considering all factors.

(iii) Rate of earth energizer compound of 25 Kg of 02 bags and earth resistance reducing liquid 10 litre per cane for each pit deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(iv) Resistivity of earth energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be certified by any NABL accredited lab carried out as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTMG57-06, CI-3.4A and the certificate of same shall be submitted by the contractor before commencement of work.

(v) Earth enhancing material should not leach into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and its PH value should be in neutral range complete all as specified and as directed. It should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete.

(vi) Copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm shall be fixed on proper post insulator at the instrument end ( copper strip upto 7.5 RM shall be considered in unit quoted rate and extra will be measured and paid separately).

(vii) Testing of earth shall be carried out in presence of departmental and user representative and report shall be submitted to Garrison Engineer duly signed by all concerned.

(viii) Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor. Tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab.

(ix) Earthing shall be tested after completion of work by the contractor in presence of Engr-in-charge, user and proper record shall be maintained duly signed by all concerned. After testing if the desired earth resistance of less than 1 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt. till desired result is obtained.

(x) The contractor shall give a written guarantee of minimum three years for maintaining the earth resistance less than 1 Ohm after certified date of completion.

(xi) No further maintenance or periodic watering or recharge shall be required in earthing during its guarantee period of over 03 years in all type of soil including soft/ disintegrated or hard rock.

(xii) During the guarantee period, if earth resistance is not maintained less than 1 ohm the contractor has to redo or rectify at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is maintained.

(xiii) A security deposit of value equal to 2.5 % of the rate quoted for chemical earthing for each earthing shall be retained from payment due to the contractor from final bill for the guarantee period.

(xiv) The electrode shall carry manufacturer's name .

(xv) The connection clamp shall be permanentlly welded to the copper bounded rod to avoid any kind of connectivity loss,.The pre-welded copper bounded rod shall not need any additional clamp for termination.

(xvi) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall not be more than 0.1 ohm.

(xvii) Earth work such as auguring and making good the surrounding area shall carried out in any type of soil.

(xviii) The contractor shall submit CPRI India certified document for copper bounded rod to ensure genuineness of material.

(xix) Sign board of mild steel sheet 2 mm thick duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide Zinc chrome primer showing result of earthing shall be fixed near the earth pit after completion as directed by engr -in- charge.

Earth pit cover made of heavy duty poly plastic of high grade polypropylene tested and certified by any NABL accredited lab for load bearing capacity not less than 7.2 tonnes with top dia not less than 250mm, bottom dia not less than 330 mm and height not less than 260 mm for each electrode pit, complete including taking down, old u/s pit cover complete all as specified and directed.
