SPECIAL REPAIR TO ROAD FROM UNIT LINES TO MAIN GATE AT ROWRIAH UNDER JORHAT MIL STN

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exceeding 400 sqm, depth exceeding 50 mm but not exceeding 100 mm complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for 75 mm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with coarse aggregates of granite, trap or basalt of grading 2 (63 to 45 mm size) spread, levelled, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with 8 to10 ton power roller complete all as specified and as directed.

Preparing WBM surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer at 10 kg per 10 sq metre with cationic bitumen emulsion SS-1 grade complete all as specified and directed

Repair to potholes any depth, not exceeding 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc., cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat with cationic bitumen emulsion RS-1 grade at the rate of 5 kg per 10 sqm, putting in premix bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed ith binder 9.8 Kg per 10 Sqm , blinded ith 0.09 of stone chippings, 6.3mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings) depth of potholes exc 30mm complete all as specified and as directed.

Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for applying tack coat on existing bituminous, cement concrete or primed granular surface to ensure a bond between the surface being paved and the overlaying course with catonic bituminus emulsion RS-1 grade at the rate of 5 kg per 10 sqm of surface complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for premix bituminous macadam n.exc 75mm thickness using hot mix plant and mechanical paver with 4% binder (Paving bitumen VG 30 grade) content by weight of total mix, laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber using 8 to 10 tonnes power roller completeall as specified and as directed. Note:- The minimum bitumen content shall be 4% of total mix. However, no price adjustment shall be made if bitumen content is more than 4% after design mix.

M & L for semi dense bituminous premix asphaltic dense concrete 40 mm consolidated thickness using graded crushed stone aggregate premixed with binder (paving grade bitumen VG 30 grade) @ 5.5% by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) Semi dense bituminous concrete shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. (ii) The minimum bitumen content is 5.5%of total mix. No price adjustment shall be made if bitumen content is more than 5.5% after design mix.

M&L for preparing btiuminious surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stops lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n.exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS- 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed.
