M&L for Earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 6 mm thick surrounded with charcoal and salt, buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 metre deep below ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5 metre below normal ground level connected to galvanized earth lead using GI earth strip in size 32 x6 mm means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanized iron or steel all as shown in electrical Plate No 3 of MES SSR Part-I connected to main switch board or main control board all as specified and testing on completion including provision of earth wire protected by galvanized iron 15 mm dia light grade pipe and watering pipe shall be 20 mm bore light grade including all excavation and earth work in any type of soil, PCC pit with pre-cast RCC cover, charcoal/salt, funnel etc complete all as specified and directed.

Note for Item No. 1.00:- (i) The concrete pit shall be PCC 1:3:6 type C-1, 40 mm thick pre cast cover slab of RCC (1:2:4) type B-1 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) reinforced with 8mm TMT bars @ 10 cm C/C on both sides with suitable cast iron handle shall be provided in lieu of cast iron cover shown in electrical plate No 3 of MES SSR Part-I. (ii) Item includes the cost of 7.50m GI pipe for protection of earth wire/strip. Any variation in length shall be adjusted through deviation order. (iii) Item includes cost of 7.50m earth lead wire/strip. Any variation in length shall be adjusted through deviation order. (iv) PCC pit shall be provided at least 500 mm away from the pit and not on the earth pit itself and the extra cost of additional length of watering pipe, bends, elbow etc shall be deemed included in the unit rate.

Taking down unserviceable air termination single pointed aluminium rod 12mm dia, 300mm long complete all as specified and directed.

Removal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down old unserviceable earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or burried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to pole or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc as required of size 32 x 6 mm galvanised iron strip complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement high density polythene pipe (HDPE) pipe PN10 50mm bore suitable for 6 kgf/sqcm working pressure laid in trenches for protection of GI strip from test point to top level of earthing complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement PVC flexible conduit 32 mm dia on wall/ top of roof/ roof sheet for providing isolation to aluminium strip from wall/ metal sheet on roof complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for chemical to burn out the shrub/grass/ unwanted small trees etc 100% in outfit area of near building earthing pit in AOR spread by using spray gun equally in a given time interval as directed. Note: Chemical sample shall be supplied in sealed container 2 to 5 Ltrs each after approved by Deptt complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down old unserviceable GI pipe of any size complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F 40 mm bore GI pipe medium grade ISI marked as per IS:1239 with all GI fittings, laid in trenches/wall complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F 25 mm bore GI pipe medium grade ISI marked as per IS:1239 with all new GI fittings, laid in trenches/wall complete all as specified and directed.

S&F 15 mm bore GI pipe medium grade ISI marked as per IS:1239 with all new GI fittings, laid in trenches/wall complete all as specified and directed.

M&L providing PCC 1:4:8 type D-2 (Using 40 mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in foundation of size 150 mm x 150 mm cross section, planting depth 0.30 m for concrete encasing the pole upto GL and including form work finished even and fair complete all as specified and directed.

M&L providing PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate) for plinth block/Coller above GL 150 mm high of size 150 mm x 150 mm and including form work finished even and smooth with using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down old unserviceable bib taps and S&F plug type bib taps, cast iron, screwed for iron pipe and fixed for 15 mm dia pipe complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for re-fixing aluminium/ galvanised / copper strip in any size fixing on saddle type insulators using broung nut bolts and washer etc/ reveting by aluminium reveits for jointing to strip/ laid in trench/ fix on surface of wall/ beam etc as site required making circuit continuty with making straight complete all as specified and directed. Note: Quoted rate shall be including cost of insulator etc. (ii) Porcelain type insulator and fixing screws shall be provided @ 3 Nos per RM for fixing of strip.

S&F in replacement to copper strip 32x6 mm including porcelain type insulator fixed on 1.00 m apart interval with screws / reveting/ nut bolt washer etc for mounting to strip as roof conductors and down conductors upto 1.2 m above the normal ground complete all as specified and directed. Note: Porcelain type insulator and fixing screws shall be provided @ 2 Nos per RM for fixing of strip.

M&L in replacement to unserviceable heavy duty saddle type porcelain type insulator for holding to GI / copper strip with bronze nuts bolts and washers etc all as per site requirement complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for advance maintenance free chemical earthing with JMV CBE 403 enviornment friendly ring earthing system consisting each set of 03 (three) Nos of 10 (ten) feet length 40 mm dia earth eletrode made out by copper, maintenance free electrolytic grade copper earthing system of JMV make based on flat in pipe technology of 3.00 m length, 40 mm dia with crystalite conductive mixture compound filled with the permanent sealings at the top & bottom with the lead terminal / strip in 25x4 mm size copper with 2 holes of 10 mm dia at the top, to be lowered in 150 mm dia bore including filling of back fill ecofriendly earth enhancing compound tested by ROHS comply to IEC 62651-7 which should have passed leaching, corrosion, supphur & resistivity test as per IEC 62651-7 by NABL accredit LAB/JAM plus compound in 150 mm bore in immediate contract around the earth electrode

Item No. 31.00 Continued:- and top of the bore shall be finished with 40 mm thick PCC in 1:2:4 type B-1(using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) over 75 mm thick PCC in 1:4:8 type D-2(using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate) and backfilly/ JAM compound shall be covererd with FRP pit cover of suitable size for each earth electrode, joint to be made by JAM weld exothermically welded technology including copper strip size 32 x 6 mm for earthing ring system and copper strip 32x6 mm size for earthing electrode to test point with saddles & porcelain insulators suitable size on wall ,earth strip protected by light grade GI pipe 40 mm dia in case of plinth protection / floor/ hard standing crossing complete all as specified and directed. Make: JMV LPS Limited / JEF/ ALCOICE / Conducrete Note:- Earth work, PCC work, PCC cutting work by cutter, earth chamber in suitable size with testing on suitable value etc rate shall deemed to be included in quoted rate.

M&L for recharging to existed earthing at technical area in any type upto strandard value using required chemical such as Nacl/ MgSo4 / other approvad chemical including reveting / welding/ bolting to earth lead including testing etc by technical representative with reveting bolting replacing to nut bolt and washer etc to GI earting strip for making earth continuty from transformer / panels to earting pit complete all as specified and directed. Note: Quoted rate shall be paid after getting resistance value satisfactory and record shall be submitted in this office.

M&L for repair of existing earthing concrete pit shall be PCC 1:3:6 type C-1(using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggrgate), 40 mm thick pre cast cover slab of RCC (1:2:4) type B-1 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) reinforced with 8mm TMT bars @ 10 cm C/C on both sides with suitable cast iron handle shall be provided in lieu of cast iron cover shown in electrical plate No 3 of MES SSR Part-I complete all as specified and directed.

Note :- (i) Credit shown in credit schedule of tender document shall be considered by the tenderer while quoting the rates of various items. The same shall be recovered from various payment to contractor before handing over old material. The contract amount shall be arrived at after deduction of Schedule of Credit from the total quoted amount in BOQ.
