| 1 | Material and labour for carefully chipping and removing loose, cracked or damaged concrete, including plaster, from columns, beams, ceilings, chajjas, fascias, fins, drops and similar RCC members, using a low-impact, high-frequency electric hammer/chipper or wooden hammer, without damaging the surrounding sound concrete. The work shall include exposing the existing reinforcement bars by removing concrete to at least 10 mm beyond the corroded reinforcement, cutting the edges of the repair area neat and square using an electrically operated diamond concrete saw, cleaning the exposed reinforcement and concrete surfaces thoroughly with a wire brush and removing all loose rust, dust and debris. Thereafter, the damaged portion shall be rebuilt with cement concrete (1:2:4), Type B-0, using 12.5 mm graded stone aggregate, including providing and fixing additional steel pieces and galvanized steel wire mesh, wherever required, for proper bonding and restoration of the original profile. After initial setting of the concrete, the repaired surface shall be finished with cement mortar (1:3) to match the existing line, level and finish.
