REPAIR TO JOINTS, SURFACE TOPPING, EDGES, POT HOLES, CRACKS AND OTHER CONNECTED WORKS ON RUNWAY/PTT SURFACES AT AF STN NAL UNDER GE (AF) NAL

M&L for repairs to concrete pavements by cutting the damaged, spoiled edges in concrete pavements slabs to vertical rectangular cross section with power driven concrete cutters, removing all loose materials, cleaning surface thoroughly with wire/coir brushes and then cleaning the surfaces with compressed air by air blower compressors, including priming the surface with epoxy based primer and then filling with epoxy mortar @ 2 Kg per 1000cc (Cubic Centimeter) and including form work wherever required including removal of rubbish to a distance exc 250m and n.exc 500m and depositing complete all as specified and as directed

M&L for making good the cracks and repairing disintegrated / spoiled concrete slabs to vertical rectangular cross section with power driven concrete cutters, removing all loose material, cleaning surface thoroughly with wire/coir brushes and then cleaning the surface with compressed air by air blower compressors and apply a coat of primer and filling with Elastomeric compound and after application of primer and removal of rubbish to a distance exc 250m and not exc 500m and depositing, complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- (i) All necessary formwork, sides etc shall be included in the quoted rates. (ii) Primer used shall be of the same make as of elastomeric compound.

M&L for complete removal of deteriorated /eroded top surface (epoxy or concrete surface) with wire / coir brushes and with suitable power driven concrete cutters up to thickness varrying from 03 to 04 mm and then cleaning the surfaces with compressed air by using air blower compressors to remove all loose dirt, dust, scaling, grease, spots etc and priming the surfaces with epoxy based primer etc (with suitable brushes) complete all as specified and directed.

M &L for applying Epoxy mortar on primed surfaces with thickness varrying from 03 to 04 mm including filling of small holes up to 10 mm depth @ 8.00 kg per sqm and levelling the surfaces to match the existing level with existing surfaces of the runway / Taxi track complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for racking out of old existing sealant compound, backer rod and filler board of the existing expansion joints of size 20-25mm wide and 45mm deep joints by special tools like racker/cutting blades/machines, widening of joints by 2 mm by using joint cutting blades of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debris Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the filler board and pouring the sealant Thereafter filled with pre-molded 25 mm thick compressible polyethylene closed cell type filler board as specified, over it filled with closed cell medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 30 mm dia for complete length of the joint. Finally filled with polyurethane joint sealant meeting the requirements mentioned in BS-5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor MAF of +/- 30% complete all as specified and directed. .

M&L for Racking out of old existing sealant compound and backer rod of the existing construction joints of size 10-12 mm wide and 25 mm depth by special tools like cutting blades/machines, widening of joints by 2 mm by using joint cutting blades of appropriate size straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil vegetation and other debris . Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before pouring the sealant Thereafter filled with closed cell medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 12 mm dia for complete length of the joint, over it to be filled with polyurethane joint sealant meeting the requirements mentioned in BS-5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/- 30%.

M&L for Racking out of old existing sealant compound and backer rod of the existing contraction (dummy) joints of size 8-10 mm wide and 25 mm depth by special tools like cutting blades/machines, widening of joints by 2 mm by using joint cutting blades of appropriate size straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil vegetation and other debris Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before pacing the backup rod and pouring the sealant. Thereafter filled with closed cell, medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 8 mm dia fo complete length of the joint, over it to be filled with polyurethane joint sealant meeting the requirements mentioned in BS-5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875 2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/- 30% complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Raking out existing filling in Construction joints of width exceeding 12mm to 14mm wide and 25mm depth as specified by special tool like Bituminous cutter , wire/coir brushes / machines and joints cleaned throughly with application of compressed air , making free from all the loose material ie; dirt , dust, grease , existing sealing compound including sticked material of existing compound racked up to full depth ( up to 45 mm ) of Joints etc to entire satisfaction of Engr-in-Charge and filling the joint with the polysulphide elastomeric joint sealant consisting of base compound and accelerator (curing agent) on bituminous surface component using mechanical means to a depth exceeding 08 mm but n exc 12 mm (depth above the backup Rod) apply coat of primer and filling the balanced racked depth of the joint with backup material ie; closed cell polyethelene to ensure tight packing so that no gaps or void exist at the top of backup material separated by bond breaker of suitable size HD 10 filler board in position where required and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental slippage of sealant on top surface to give a neat finish to the sealant and remove the masking tape after sealant is applied as required complete as per manufacturer's instructions and complete all as specified and directed by Engineer In Charge.

M&L for repair to pot holes on concrete portion of runway / PTT / Taxi Track of size not exc. 4 Sqcm and depth not exc 1.5 cm and filling with elastomeric compound over and including priming of pot hole surface with suitable primer of same make including preparation of old detorated concrete surface by removing loose disintegrated concrete and blowing with mechanical / electrically driven air blower complete all as specified and directed.
