Charges for general safe guarding, maintenance, Square dusting/cleaning of all equipment's, materials in Foot Officer's Rest House/ Supervisor's/Subordinate Rest house/Holiday Home etc., including changing of bed linen and providing other hospitality services like application of deodorants, room spray, mosquito repellents etc., including Washing of bed linen and pillow covers, Washing of Door/Window curtains & Dry washing of woollen/blended blankets etc., as per the terms and conditions & special conditions enclosed with all contractor's materials, manpower, tools and plants, etc., complete and as per specifications and as directed by theEngineer in charge. Note :- 1) The plinth area of the building will be measured for payment. Payment will be made for each floor separately in case of Multi-storeyed structure. 2) This item does not include maintenance of gardens and other horticulture items. They will be paid if required under relevant DSR items. However rate includes general cleaning of approach roads, pathways etc., as per special conditions. No extra payment will be made for these areas and the rate quoted is inclusive of all such areas. Contractor is advised to visit the place before quoting the rates. 3) Number of persons to be utilized i.e., Care takers/Janitors etc., and minimum number of persons to be engaged daily for regular maintenance works is as prescribed in the special conditions as per the scale prescribed in manuals and codes or as per requirement at site. 4) All materials to be used for upkeep of the building i.e., names of the products and the quantity of each product to be used per month is as prescribed in special conditions. 5) Places where machine cleaning is essential are prescribed in the special conditions. Also mode of cleaning of each room /area is prescribed in the special conditions. 6) Washing of bed linen and pillow covers including collection from the place of usage, washing, pressing, packing in a paper cover and returning at the point of collection (Once in Every alternate day or on vacation (Earliest of two) for bed linen and pillow covers. 7) Washing of Door/Window curtains including removing from place of hanging and replacing in position after washing and pressing (Once in three months.) 8) Dry washing of woollen/blended blankets including collection from rest house, washing, pressing and returning (Once in a month.) 9) Penalties to be levied in case of deficiencies in services are as prescribed in special conditions.
