EARTHING & LIGHTNING SYSTEM- SUPPLY OF MATERIALS, INSTALLATION, TESTING & COMMISSIONING
EARTH ELECTRODE: Earth Electrode shall be supplied and installed as per the above mentioned standards including preparation of concrete chamber as inspection chamber , excavation of earth pit, supply and filling of salt/ coke/ charcoal layer, supply of civil material, back filling and covering with GI cover cap.

EARTHING SYSTEM CONDUCTORS: Earthing conductors to be supplied and suitably cut, bent, formed, layed and fixed, buried in ground or embedded in concrete, clamped to structure / equipment foundations, racks, walls, roofs, trenches etc. as required including excavation and filling of earth, chipping and remaking of concrete surface. The contractor shall supply the required materials to complete the earthing installation, the material such as welding of earthing conductor joints, GI clamps, GI fastners, Lugs at earth plate & at equipment end wherever required, supply & applying of bitumin paint & hessian tape on underground joints & cold zinc spray on aboveground joints and necessary hardware for connecting, etc.,

CABLING SYSTEM- INSTALLATION, TESTING & COMMISSIONING: The Contractor scope includes, laying of cables (using cable pulling by motorized winch with torque limits),installation,testing & commissioning of different voltage grade and types of the following cables in ready trays/trenches/racks/underground/buried/ cable duct bank / road crossing / supported on structure/pull through pipes,clamping to column wall or structure using GI spacers and saddles (at an interval of 300 mm), Installation & supply of anodise Aluminium / Stainless steel tags for overhead & buried cables respectively. Installation & supply of G.I saddles & G.I Clamps, cable tie, clamping of cables on trays & necessary hardwares. Cables laid in trays shall be dressed and clamped using GI Clamps at every 750 mm. Scope shall include opening the RCC slabs/Covers from Cable Trenches before laying and replacing them after laying. including supply and fixing of stainless steel/aluminium/lead strip number tags, cable ferrules, certified trefoil clamps of non-magnetic material for 1C cables, cable tie, etc., fixing of RFID tags for underground cables.The cable shall be installed as per Doc. No.: NR-0ZZZZ-EL-SPE-0031 Specification for Electrical Cable Installation. The cable laying work shall include transportation of cable drums from owner's issue point to the place of installation by contractor's own lifting & transportation arrangement, unpacking, cable cutting as per actual length measurement & cable schedule/cable drum schedule, return of unused cable/drums to the owner's store & removal of empty drum to Owner's Scrap Yard, including all labour and materials complete as per approved drawings, specifications of this tender and directions of Engineer-in-charge. MANPOWER RATE: Providing technical assistance during pre-commissioning / commissioning of unit (excluding items where precommissioning / commissioning in the scope of contractors) phase by deploying different categories of manpower as listed below after getting necessary aproval from EIC/MPMC/NRL.The quoted manmonths rates shall be inclusive of all wages, overtime for working beyond normal hours including holidays / weekly off, travel / accommodation expenses, including PPE’s, all tools & tackles etc and other costs which the bidder shall be entitled to claim by way of Man-Month Rates for the services. Prior to deployment of personnel at site, Contractor shall submit the detailed CVs of such persons proposed to be posted at site to Owner for concurrence & approval. The Owner and Contractor shall jointly maintain a record of all such personnel chargeable at Man-Month Rates deployed each day which shall be used as the basis for calculating payments due to the Contractor for the services covering assistance during pre-commissioning & commissioning phase. For deployment covering part of the month, payment shall be made on pro-rata basis considering 30 days in a month. REINFORCEMENT

INTRUMENTATION WORKS
Scope of work includes installation after taking delivery from warehouse or from the places of storage, on site transportation, handling, storage, unpacking etc. The installation activity includes following operations: a) Contractor shall study the IDF or Junction Box location for possible interferences. b) IDF or Junction Box shall be installed on the basis of layout drawings provided by MPMC. Installation of Telephone IDF on the supports & all associated accessories ,Equipment erection, alignment and fixing shall be by contractor. Fabrication, installation and Touch up of all supports required & Masonry Works including Nuts/ Bolts etc. c) Minor civil work involved in the installation of the IDF or Junction Box support shall be also done by the contactor including supply of cement, bricks,concrete, anchor bolts etc. d) Signal and Power Cables installation for connection of devices up to the IDF or junction box and IDF or Junction box to cabinet including Gland installation. e) Spare cable entries of the IDF or Junction Box shall be plugged. Cable Termination coming /going out of IDF or Junction Box is in the scope of Contractor within the quoted price of this item. f) IDF or Junction Box body shall be grounded through external bolt provided on the Junction Box, single core PVC insulated copper wire shall be used for grounding (lugs & ferrules shall be supplied by the contractor). Grounding shall as per Project drawing. g) If required during Installation of IDF or Junction Box, making temporary supports / scafolding etc is in contractors scope of work. h) Adequate protection for IDF or junction boxes during installation and connection activities. i) After commissioning, all IDF or JB’s shall be covered with Aluminium tapes at its periphery to prevent water ingress.
