Repair of Apron with interlayer Asphalt reinforcement system and bituminous overlay at Goa Airport

Providing, laying and fixing in position Asphalt reinforcement system- Composite Glass Grid (CG200)) of Adfors Saint-Gobain/Maccaferri/Technofab/Giridhar Techfab/ Terrain Infratech/Flexituff/Supreme or equivalent make and composed of high strength glass filament yarns of mesh size not exceeding 25mm x 19mm with tensile strength (MD x CMD) ≥ 100 ✕ 200 kN/m. The Composite Glass Grid shall have nonwoven backing with 150g/m2, allowing interlayer installation on tack coated rough asphalt/concrete surface with the ability to allow issue-free bond of compacted asphalt layers,with manufacturers specification. Asphalt reinforcement system (Composite Glass Grid) after laying on tack coated surface shall be pressed firmly with pneumatic roller or rubber tired roller to stick to existing surface. Before laying of tack coat and Glass Grid the existing surface shall be cleaned throughly and to be free from dust and other foreign impurities. Existing joints, cracks and potholes shall be filled with suitable solution 12-24 Hrs prior to the placement of Glass grid. Transverse joints must be lapped in the direction of the paver not less than 150 mm and longitudinal joints must be lapped not less than 50 mm. The item should be completed in all respect to the satisfaction and direction of Engineer - in - charge. *Note- Applying of tack coat and repair of cracks/joints/pot holes shall be paid saperately in respective items.

Providing and applying tack coat using hot straight run bitumen of grade VG - 10, including heating the bitumen, spraying the bitumen with mechanically operated spray unit fitted on bitumen boiler, cleaning and preparing the existing road surface as per specifications : On Concrete surface @ 0.75 Kg / sqm

Providing and laying of Hot Mix Dense Asphaltic Concrete (DAC) using crushed stone aggregate of quality, size and grading as specified and 2% Cement filler as specified and Viscosity Grade Bitumen (supplied in bulk) in proportions as per job mix formula and laid to specified levels, grade and camber as per specification, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in- Charge including compacting with 8-10 tonne, preferably vibratory road roller of adequate capacity to achieve the specified values of compaction, strength, surface accuracy complete [for tendering purpose VG bitumen of grade (VG-30) content shall be taken as 135 kg/m3 of mix supplied in bulk produced by Govt. Refineries and 2% cement by weight of aggregates as filler material].

Painting runway/taxi track/apron marking with adequate nos of coats to give uniform finish with road marking paint of superior make as approved by the Engineer-in-charge, i/c cleaning the surface of ail dirt, scales, oil, grease and other foreign material etc. and lining out complete. New work (Two or more coats)

Steel work welded in builtup sections/Framed work including cutting, hoisting,fixing in position and applying apriming coat of approved steel primer using structural steel etc as required in gratings,frames,guard bars,ladder,railings brackets,gates and similar works.

Painting with synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture to give an even shade : Two or more coats on new work

Providing and filling in position bitumen based hot sealing compound of approved brand and manufacture for sealing of cracks and pot holes etc in the concrete surface as per direction and satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge.
