Electrical Work associated with routine maintenance of the electrical installations under EPDS and EPRS in the institute.

Providing earthing for earth station/ equipment/ at any required place, complete with charcoal and salt with 50mm dia 3 metre long medium G.I. pipe with G.I. clamps, nuts, bolts, funnel and all other materials, including all installation and earth chamber complete as per IS3043 including laying of GI strip/ Cu wire for earth connection to the earth bar/ equipments in under ground / by wall surface up to 10 mtr length. (except charcoal, salt and earth pit material, all other materials supplied by the deptt)

Laying of one cable in U/G trench 760mm average depth with brick protection on the top of the cable with 8 (eight) nos. bricks per meter including filling the space between the bricks and cable and also the trench with shifted soil levelling up restoring the surface duly rammed of following sizes :

a) Upto 35 Sqmm 3.5 Core

b) Above 35 Sqmm to 185 Sqmm 3.5 Core

c) Above 3.5 Core 185 Sqmm

Single cable laying through prelaid G.I. Pipe/masonary trench / along the pole as follows As per PWD Schedule

a) Upto 50 Sqmm 3.5 Core

b) Above 50 Sqmm 3.5 Core

Laying of cable on wall / surface including S & F M.S. shaddles, with earthing arrangement with 10 SWG G.I. wire, making holes etc. as necessary & mending good the damages and painting of cables of the following sizes.

a) 3.5 / 4 Core Upto 25 Sqmm

b) 3.5 Core 35 Sqmm to 50 Sqmm

c)3.5 Core 70 Sqmm to 95 Sqmm

Making straight through joint of 2/4/3.5 Core cable (jointing kit supplied by the Department)

a) for LT joint

b) for HT

Laying of G.I. Pipe across the road through horizontal boring without damaging the road surface below 1m of the road level (G.I. Pipe supplied by the Department)

Erection of Octagonal metallic pole up to 6 Mtr length in cement concrete 1:3:6 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand : 6 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size) foundation including excavation and refilling etc. as required. As per attached drawing

Dismantling of pole/ street light standard/ strut embedded in brick ballast foundation etc. as required.

Retrieving of service / unserviceable cable from under ground trench which includes excavation of earth, removing of brick protection and cable, and then re-fling, the trench with shifted soil and restoring the surface duly rammed and deposit the cable and bricks at departmental store. This job includes relaying new cable using the same trench and unbroken bricks as instructed by the site –in-charge.

Finishing the end of 1.1 Kv grade PVC (A) cable by crimping method with dowels make solder less socket, glands, tapes and jointing materials (ISI marked) with identification tags etc. and making connections to feeder pillars with all necessary hardware’s as required of following sizes.( Socket & gland deptt. supply)

a) up to 50 Sqmm

b) 70 Sqmm to 150 Sqmm

c) 185 Sqmm to 400 Sqmm

Temporary cable laying& connection for emergency power in case of break down etc. job includes carrying of cable from Store to Site, laying of cable, dismantling the cable when the situation become normal and deposit the cable to Store.

Replacement/Repair of Main Switch/SFU/ Energy meter including dismantling of existing one and fixing a new one or fixing a new switch/SFU/ Energy meter (supplied by the Department) and making necessary connection , (32 A to 400 A) as reqd incl. all hardwires.

Drawing of 4 Sqmm/ 6 Sqmm CTS Aluminium wire from OH pole/feeder pillar for the purpose of providing temporary service connection (in case of damage of existing service cable) to respective quarters or Puja Pandals/ Community festivals etc. or for providing

Street light repairing job including replacement of complete light fittings LED / SON and any other related job in one street light (all the materials supplied by the Department).This job includes dismantling of old street light , fixing of new street light fitting as required. Contractor must attained the complain within 24 hours erespective the number of complain.

Fixing of loop box (Dept. supply) at a height of 2 ft. from top of the muffing, this job includes fabrication of loop box and its fixing arrangement and dismantling of old loop box.

Cleaning of substations, bush cutting at different locations of feeder pillar , pole, Substation out side and other cleaning related job.
