M & L for forming embankment (Raising or lowering) (obtained from excavation) including pulverising, spreading, leveling, watering, ramming and consolidation the surface (thickness not exceeding 150 mm) in layers Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces with 8 to 12 tonne vibratory roller to the required gradient and camber under optimum moisture conditions to achieve at least 98% of maximum dry density determined using modified proctor density determination method as per relevant IS code complete all as specified and directed. Note : Approved soil obtained from Sl Item No. 2 & 3 of BOQ shall be used and lead shall not be paid.
M & L Soil stabilization of 200 mm sub grade soil by uniform mixing of cement OPC 43 grade / other additive @ 5% cement by weight of soil (percentage of cement/additives for estimation purposes only). Type of additive and, percentage required for blending to be given in mix design). Item will include pulverization of soil, spreading of additive, blending mix by tractor towed rotovator, addition of water/drying of mix to required moisture content and compaction using suitable vibratory roller to required 98% maximum dry density achieve K value 5 Kg/cm2/cm. Provisions of IRC SP:89-2010 be referred to for this item complete all as specified and directed. Note : (i) Rate will include pulverizing of soil, spreading of cement/stabilizer as required by design mix, sprinkling of water and compacting to achieve finish of subgrade as per clause 902 of MORTH specifications/98% Maximum Dry Density. Relevant provisions of IRC:SP: 89-2010 will be applicable for process and quality control. (ii) The unit rate quoted shall deemed to be included the cost of carrying of excavated materials to stack outside the trench and for laying in pavement area after preparation formation.
Supply only approved Ordinary Portland cement 43 grade in bags of 50 Kg each.
Removing excavated material exceeding 500m but not exceeding 1.5 Km and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5m above the starting point in soils complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for laying and compacting 200 mm thick (compacted thickness) Granular Sub Base Course (GSB) grading as per Grade V as specified Table 400-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works, 2013, in a single layer over compacted subgrade with natural sand, crushed gravel, crushed stone, crushed slag or combination thereof as per the grading required. The materials are mechanically mixed, spread and leveling on the subgrade by using motor grader of adequate capacity, and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100 KN static weight for achieving required compaction density of at least 98% of the Maximum Dry Density. Consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Finished surface tolerances shall be as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works, 2013.
M&L for laying and compacting 150 mm (compacted thickness ) WMM laid in two layers of 75 mm each grading as pe table 400-13 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013 manufactured in WMM plant, material comprising of clean, crushed, graded aggregate and granular material premixed with water to a dense mass, spreading with sensor paver and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100 KN static weight and consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed. Note :- The finished surface tolerances to be as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013.
M&L for providing and Laying Dry lean Concrete (DLC) 150 mm thick of aggregate gradation as per Table 1 of SP 49 :2014 having 7 day average compressive strength not less than 10 MPa. Minimum cement content not less than 180 Kg/Cum DLC mixed in Batching Plant, transported to site and laid by electronic sensor paver including spreading and compacting using high amplitude tamping bars of paver (initial compaction) further by double drum smooth wheeled vibratory rollers with 80-100 KN static weight to achieve minimum dry density not less than 98% of maximum dry density, necessary finishing etc complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Tolerances to be as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications far Road and Bridge work 2013.
M&L for 10 mm thick sand cushion with clean river sand duly clear of residual, organic and deleterious material spread evenly to uniform thickness over DLC layer, complete all as specified and directed.
Supply and laying 400 Micron thick HDPE sheet (Virgin Quality) conforming to clause No. 49.1 of IS 2508 virgin quality having minimum weight 390 Gram Per Sqm over sand cushioning as specified in the design with overlap between adjacent strips and transverse joints at end minimum 300 mm etc. complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) No additional payment shall be made for overlap. (ii) Sand shall be measured & paid separately.
M&L for Forming 25 mm width expansion joint in concrete slab for full depth of PQC. Early entry saw and subsequent cutting by using diamond bit cutter of appropriate size. straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debris. The joint then filled with pre-moulded 25 mm thick compressible polyethylene closed cell type filler board as specified thereafter application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod and pouring the sealant Placing of closed cell medium density, crossed linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 30 mm dia, over filler board and filled with polyurethane based sealant complying with BS 5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of+/- 30% having minimum 10 years performance guarantee applying masked tape on the edges of joints and removing the masking tape after filling of sealant as per the method specified by the manufacturer and shown on drawings complete as specified and directed.
M&L for Forming dummy/contraction joint with an initial saw cut of 3 mm soon after the concrete has set, upto a depth of 1/3rd to 1/4 th thickness of the slab, widening the first saw cut to 10 mm and 27 mm deep by using diamond bit cutter of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil vegetation and other debris. Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod and pouring the sealant.
