Wherever existing portal exists, the portal to have Yellow Pantone Yellow C opaque vinyl stuck over. 2.6b Emergency Signs - Photoilluminiscent Signs Drg. No. Refer design drawing 2.6b-G Providing and fixing signs will be positioned along the escape routes to ensure that the route is clearly marked. This means - signs placed appropriatly directing the escape path at every junction or change of direction on that route. If a long straight corridor or space is part of an escape route then it is usual to place repeater exit signs, at around 2.0 - 2.5 meter spacing. Signs are placed at a height above head-height so they can be clearly seen and will need to be above the height of doorways (at least 2.1m). Along long corridors spaced 3m and straggered on opposite walls. 1.2m above finished floor.
