SOIL INVESTIGATION AT SITE OF WORK FOR PROVISION OF NEW WORKSHOP FOR PREPARATION OF INDIGENOUS HEAVY WEIGHT TORPEDO (HWT) AT NAD KARANJA

M&L for carrying out soil investigation at work site by drilling of bore holes in location each of 150mm dia in any type of soil and NX size dia in rock for each location upto a depth 10 Metre and carryng out the following test as per relevant / Latest IS code including collection of disturbed/HDS soil samples for lab testing all as specified & directed by Engineer in Charge. (a) Drilling and sampling in soil and rock. (b) Conducting Standard Penetration Test. (c) Natural moisture content. (d) Dry and wet density. (e) Soaked unconfined compression test. (f) Percentage obsorption. (g) Mechanical analysis and moisture content. (h) Liquid and plastic limit test. (j) Sample preparation. (k) Sieve analysis. (l) Soil classification as per IS. (m) Direct shear test. (n) Consolidation test. (o) Unconfined compressive test. (p) Completion of field and laboratory test as required for compiling for soil investigation report from NABL approved labotary / IIT Pawoi Mumbai / Any Govt Engineering college (q) Submission of 08 (Eight) copies of soil investigation report along with photos of each bore hole incorporating the soil in pressure bulb zone , highest water table , detailed calculation of SBC and recommendation of SBC at a particular depth considering effect of water table etc. to include the sample of soil with marking of various depth in specified wooden box . (r) Detailed site plan showing the approx location of each bore hole duly numbered as per log or bore holes for construction of Workshop building of height 8.00m for storage of heavy weight torpedo. (s) Type of foundation recommended. NOTE :- Location of bore holes shall be decided by the Engineer-in-Charge. The contractor may visit site of work prior to quoting of tender to ascertain the full knowledge of area where soil investigation is to be carried out.
