Surface excavation not exc. 30 cm deep and averaging 15 cm deep and getting out in any type of soil, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

Soling (or sub base) 150 mm spread thickness with broken boulders or quarried stone interstices filled, surface formed and rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

150mm thick (Compacted thickness) WBM in two layers of 75 mm each layer with coarse aggregates of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size) of granite, trap or basalt spread, rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

Preparing WBM surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with mechanical air blower to remove all loose dirt/foreign materials and applying evenly a priming tack coat with bituminous primer (Paving Bitumen of Viscosity Grade VG-30) at the rate of 10 Kg per 10 Sqm of surface laying bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 40 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5 % binder content of viscosity grade VG 30 by weight of total mix and 4% stone dust conforming to specification for filler as per IRC-95, 1987 (filler) prepared in hot mix plant, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient to uniform smooth surfaces by mechanical paver and using 8 to 10 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and as directed. Note:-The minimum consolidated thickness will be 40mm. However it may be increased at places to maintain the camber as per the site requirement and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account. The contractor must visit the site before quoting their rates.

Note for item No. 5 : (a) Preparation of mix in hot mix plant, spreading by self propelling mechanical paver and rolling and compaction by set of rollers as specified in particular specifications shall be carried out. Hot mix plant may be installed at any distance but the contractor shall be responsible for maintaining the required temperature of mix under all conditions till it is laid and compacted. Unit rate against these items shall include for carrying out the works with deployment of these machinery for which nothing extra shall be payable and no delay in completion of work shall be acceptable on this account. (b) To achieve marshal stability of 1050 KN and all as per SSR Part-I Clause No. 20.B.4. (c) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs 45.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made.

Marking lines, dashes arrows etc of any description not exc 10cm width/girth and not less than 2.50 mm thickness on road surface using hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint mixed with radium glass beads @ 250 gms/Sqm with automatic machine to provide reflectivity and night vision (approximate temperature being 200° Celsius at the time of laying) including cleaning the surface by removing all dirt, dust & all other foreign matters, demarcation at site and traffic control,complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Removing excavated material n exc. 50m and depositing where directed at a level n exc.1.5 m above the starting point, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Continuous brick edging, with width equal to the width of the brick, laid dry on end vertically with burnt clay bricks of sub class 'B' bricks, complete all as specified and directed.
