Consultancy services for strengthening and widening of road with preparation of survey by mobilization of survey equipment like dual frequency GPS, Total Station, Auto Level to site for carrying out topographical survey to the suitable scale including topographical features such as carriageway, center, edges, shoulders, drains, bridges (10 Nos), culverts, river, nallah, any existing structures, telephone & electric poles and other features at ground including Geo-Tech investigation, design of road profile, pavement, bridges/culverts and preparation of BoQ, market analysis and estimate of all items to be incorporated in the project with following activities complete all specified in BoQ and Appendix 'A' (inculding all Annextures) here in after and directed:-
(i) FIXING OF PILLAR AND CHAINAGE MARKING On Existing 7 Km road there will be 8 Nos of DGPS Pillar & 14 Nos of BM Pillar installed (average 2 pillar per Km) by using Dual Frequency GPS. DGPS Survey will be conducted on 8 Nos of DGPS Pillars. Horizontal Control Point will be carried out by Total Station Traversing and Vertical Control Points will be carried out by Auto Level Traversing on every 10 meter of road, chainage marking will be done by yellow colour.
(ii) TOPOGRAPHICAL SURVEY Taking cross section at 25 meters interval along existing center line of road to North side 10 meter and South side 15meter (extending portion road). Taking Topographical features such as carriageway, shoulders, drains, bridges, culverts, river, nallah, any existing structures, trees, telephone poles & electric poles etc. On both side of the existing road (15m left & 20m right) from the existing road center line. Taking Reduced Levels (RL) of existing ground at every 2m interval (Diagonally) on 25m interval (Longitudinally) both side of the existing road (10m left & 15m right extending portion of road).
(iii) Nallah Survey Major and minor streams shall cover with cross section of the channel at the site of proposed crossing and few cross section at 20m distance both up stream and down stream up to 500m. Taking RL at every 2m interval at 20m on both side of the existing nallah center (left 60m & right 60m.)
(iv) Road Inventory Survey Collection of existing road and pavement features & Crust details along with road inventory to be done at 500m interval.
(v) Culvert/ Bridge Inventory Survey Collection of existing data of major and minor bridges, culvert etc. (approximate 10 Nos)
(vi) Traffic Survey, Analysis & Forecast Traffic survey for 3 days to be calculate along with type and number of vehicles passed by the road.
(vii) Plan and Profile Volume sheet calculation (cutting and filling) after road design for all quantities to be done. Plan and profile, road design, junction design, pavement design, culvert & bridge design etc. Junction design, pavement design, design of small bridge adjacent to existing bridge, proposed widening scheme, horizontal alignment design, design of life pavement etc. with calculation and preparation of complete estimate based on MES SSR-2020 Pt-II and BOQ, rate analysis and drawing, design of crust etc.
GEO INVESTIGATION & LABORATORY TEST Mobilization of all materials, labour & T&P for boring and washing of test pit of size 150mm dia by sludging process including collection of UDS (cohesive soil only) & SPT samples in each 1.5mtr depth interval to find value of 'N' and testing of UDS sample for determination of different properties of soil like Sieve analysis, Atterberg's limit, C-value, Bulk density, moisture content, free swell index, Chemical analysis of soil & water consolidation test, permeability test, ERT test, Digging of trial pit test for SBC calculation etc. & recommendation of foundation along with soil test report in triplicate including all leads, lift dalifts labour charges, hire charges & transportation of machineries, dewatering whenever necessary, labour cess, taxes of all materials etc. complete all as directed by Engineer-in- Charge (Total -30 Nos of bore hole up to 15 mtr each or up to refusal strata).
Geotechnical investigation should be done at bridge/ culvert site till N> 50 as per BIS code. Calculation of SBC and finding of all engineering parameters with pile load caring capacity. Calculate of SBC for different foundation type, depth and sizes. Chemical analysis of soil as well as water shall be done. Consultant shall provide complete conceptual plans, architectural drawings (plan, elevation, section and schedule of finishes) of bridges. The drawings will cover detailed working drawings to minutes details with reference to technical, architectural and functional requirements in soft and hard copy.
Soil Investigation tests to be carried out as per IRC 78-2014. Consultant shall provide structural design of bridge, section, typical details or any minor details required for execution and associated elements based on architectural plan complete in all respect of contract action and execution as per standard engineering practice. Consultant shall also provide structural design based on the follwing aspects :- (a) Structural design will be prepared based on structural analysis as per sound engineering practice and as per standard provisions of IS 875, IS 456 :2000, IS 1893:2016 and IS 13920, NBC and other relevant/ applicable codes and special publications as applicable on date. Structural design should be based on the soil condition of the area. (b) The structure shall be designed for earthquake loading as per IS 1893:2016 (c) RCC bridge will be designed as RCC frame structure with M-30 concrete and reinforcement shall be Fe 500/550/Fe 500D/550D for main and secondary reiforcement including stirrups. However RCC M-30 shall be specified for water structures. All RCC work shall be done as per IS 456 : 2000 and Reinforcement shall be specified as per IS 1786 :2008. Foundation design, if required as piles than pile & pile caps shall be designed with M-30 Design Mix concrete.
(d) Consultant shall recommend the following additional aspects in the soil investigation report :- (i) Type of foundation required based on soil profile. (ii) Pile capacities with calculations for both long pile and under reamed pile of required dia and for both frictional resistance and end resistance shall also be given separately. (iii) Recommendations regarding type of cement to be used. (iv) Recommendations to safeguard if chloride content or any other salt present in water. (v) Design load of pile i,e, Compression test, Uplift test, Lateral test. (vi) Determination of water level (e) Structural design shall be carried out based on IRC 112-2011 and other relevant IRC and IS Codes. Note : The consultant, mentioning the following for structural design. (i) Input data file STAAD file, design input file for any other software used soft copy along with excel sheets, if used. (ii) Design philosophy and list of code followed. (iii) Design folder (Hard and Soft Copy) duly vetted with all the loading calculations in detail. (iv) The rates are inclusive of a site/office visits by the consultant in order to finalize drawings/design. (v) Vetting of structural design from IIT/NIT is required to be done for project and included in the above quoted rate. (vi) The rates are inclusive of Pre-vetting of Design by the department and regular vetting of drawing by IIT/NIT till finalization of drawings by the Department.
(A) Measurement and collection data of existing culverts and major & minor bridges with all complete. (B) CBR value should be taken at 2 Nos of points at every Km for testing of both soaked and unsoaked CBR value as per IRC-SP-19/2001/IRC-37/IRC-58 and Collection of sample from site & conducting test at lab (2 Nos per km) for (OMC & MDD) (IS:2720- Pt-16), grain size analysis, Atterberg's limit (L.L/P-L-IL) group of soil etc. (C) The detailed design for all features should be carried out as per the requirements of the Design Standards for the project. However, there may be situations wherein it has not been possible to strictly adhere to the design standards due to the existing site conditions, restrictions and and other considerations. The report should clearly bring out the details of these aspect and the standards adopted Horizontal Alignment and Longitudinal Profile. Cross-section @ 25m interval along the alignment within ROW Typical Cross-Sections with details of pavement structure. Detailed Working Drawings for individual Culverts and Cross Structures
ANALYSIS, ESTIMATE, REPORTS & DRAWINGS • Preparation of complete estimate based on MES SSR-2020 Pt-II and BOQ • Horizontal Alignment and Longitudinal Profile. • Finalisation of Road alignment • Cross-section @ 25m interval along the alignment within ROW • Typical Cross-Sections with details of pavement structure. • Details Road furnitures and its positions • Detailed Working Drawings for individual Culverts and Cross Drainage Structures. • Detailed Working Drawings(both structural and architectural) for individual Bridges Structures. • Detailed Drawings for Improvement of At-Grade and Grade-Separated • Intersections and Interchanges. • Drawings for Road Sign, Markings and other Facilities. • Locations of median openings, intersections, interchanges, • Locations of service roads; Details of Provisioning of road side street light. • Design drawing of Covered Drain Details • Details of Stone pitching and Toe wall to the Embankment • Location and Details of Grass Turfing to Embankment • Location of traffic signals like Mandatory, cautionary and and informatory Signage boards, traffic signs and Traffic light system, road markings, pedestrian Marking, safety features; and The typical cross-section drawings should indicate the scheme for future widening of the carriageway. The proposed cross-sections of road segment passing through urban areas should indicate the provisions for pedestrian movements and suitable measures for surface and sub-surface drainage and lighting, as required. Pavement design and design of small bridge shall be vetted from NIT/IIT
(aa) Preliminary drg- 01 set for checking till all corrections are incorporated. (ab) Advance copy for users/GE office/CE office-03 sets for comments before taking out final prints. (ac) Final set-(i) 01 set of tracing for signature (ii) 08 sets of white prints after signature along with scanned copy of the signed drgs (Pdf format to be furnished in CD) (ad) Amendment drawing - same Nos. as above if any. Consultant to visit site prior to design to incorporate necessary design aspects since the bridges/culverts are extension of existing an bridges/ culverts. The foundations and super structure should be designed accordingly incorporating the fact that it is an extension of existing bridges/ culverts
M & L for clearing jungle including uprooting of rank vegetation, grass, brush wood, trees and saplings of girth up to 30cm measured at a height of 1 m above ground level and removal of rubbish up to a distance of 50m outside the periphary of the area cleared
