Maintenance and servicing of Diesel Generator sets by carrying out routine 'A' check of the engine complete for smooth functioning of 250 KVA DG Set Make: Cummins-Model-6CTAA at power house all as per manufacturer's instructions and as directed :- NOTES:- (i) Control switches , MCCB's, contactors, multi display meters , Engine control unit shall be out of scope of the item of work and the rate quoted shall be exlusive for servicing/ maintenance of the above item of work. (ii) Servicing of DG set alongwith connected Alternator and Panel Board including 'A' check of the Engine shall be carried out monthly basis (Contractor shall detail his mechanic to check all the DG sets on all working days to check the serviceability and report any abnormality found in DG sets to the JE/ AGE E/M) as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and the Contractor shall carry out periodical inspections during the maintenanace period and shall be responsible for the smooth functioning of the DG set for a period of 30 days from the date of service and shall also attend all the maintenance / breakdown repairs as and when required in that period except in case of major repairs. (iii) Spare parts required for replacement during the maintenance period shall be measured and paid separately at supply only rates and cost of labour for fixing these spares shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted. (iv) Cost of all consumables required during the maintenance period shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item. (v) List of checks to be carriedout under 'A' check is attached as Appendix 'A' to the Particular specifications.

Maintenance and servicing of Diesel Generator sets by carrying out routine 'B' check of the engine including items covered in 'A' check complete for smooth functioning of 250 KVA DG Set Make: Cummins-Model-6CTAA at power house all as per manufacturer's instructions and as directed. NOTES:- (i) Control switches , MCCB's, contactors, multi display meters , Engine control unit shall be out of scope of the item of work and the rate quoted shall be exclusive for servicing/ maintenance of the above item of work. (ii) 'B' check shall be carried out once in every six months or 250 hours of running of DG Set whichever is earlier. Servicing of DG Set alongwith connected Alternator and Panel Board including items covered in 'A' check of the Engine shall also be carried out in that month as directed by the Engineer-in-charge and the Contractor shall carry out periodical inspections during the maintenance period and he shall be responsible for the smooth functioning of the DG Set for a period of 30 days from the date of service and shall also attend all the maintenance / breakdown repairs as and when required in that period except in case of Major repairs. (iii) Spare parts , engine oil and radiaton coolant oil required for replacement during the maintenance period shall be measured and paid seperatly at supply only rates and cost of labour for fixing these spares/filling of oils shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item. (iv) Cost of all consumables, diesel / oil filters etc., required during the maintenance period shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item. (v) List of checks to be carriedout under 'B' check is attached as Appendix 'A' to the Particular specifications.

Overhauling of following mentioned Self Starter assembly of DG Set by disconnecting and removing from the engine , cleaning all accessories, replace the wornout parts like :- brushes, bushes, contact plates, jumping leads and seals, revarnishing the field coil, armature and reassembling the same , refitting to the engine , including testing on load after repairs all as directed . For Self starter assembly, 24 Volt DC [Make - Delco Remi]/ Self starter assembly, 24 Volt DC [Make - lucas TVS ]

All as per item No 19 above but for Self starter assembly, 12 Volt DC [Make - lucas TVS ]

Checking for radiator, disconnecting the radiator hoses and taking down the radiator assembly complete from the engine , dismantling the top & bottom chambers , descalling the sediments and scales , corrosion etc., by means of acid cleaning and high pressure water washing , air blast cleaning ,re- assembling the same with new gaskets, including arresting leakage , if any and fixing to the engine with new hoses ,clips for 250 KVA DG Set complete all as required and directed. Note : The rate quoted shall be inclusive of servicing parts of the radiator and all incidental charges.

Checking the engine for abormal running of engine due to improper flow of fuel, overhauling the fuel injection pump assy and Injectors by disconnecting the fuel supply lines, and taking out FIP to workshop for servicing /repair , replacing the worn out / un- servicable parts like service kit, D - Valve, Elements , nozzles etc., as required and calibrating the same for increasing proper flow with pressure & efficiency , assembling at site and testing on load all as directed for 250 KVA DG Set/140 KVA DG set capacity of Gen sets.
