JOB WORK TO CARRY OUT SOILINVESTIGATION FOR JOB NO:WAC/CAP-19/46 WG/19-20: PROVN OF EXTERNAL SERVICES FOR INDUCTION OF MRSAM AT AF STN NAL. The following Job works shall be Carried out for soil investigation of proposed work site of subject work services. The scope of work comprises as under:- SOIL TESTING FOR DETERMINATION OF CBR VALUE FOR BITUMINOUS ROAD:- (a) Soil testing and investigation in place (Field Investigation) : Determination of CBR values testing and investigtion in place i.e field testing and related laboratory testing will be carried out as per the standard methods and procedures in accordance of IS codes, soil testing manuals including good disturbing portion. Test and investigation to be carried out and marked/plotted on Charts tables are as under:- (i) CBR (California Bearing Ratio) of soil in place as per IS-2720 (Part-XXXI) of 1990 and soil manual (The Asphalt Institute) ser No 10. (ii) Laboratory determinations of permeability as per IS-2720 (Part 36 of 1987) (iii) Particles/Grain size analysis and determination of soil Constants in accordance of IS-2720 (Part-IV) 1985. (iv) Liquid Limits, plastic limit and plasticity index as per IS-272 (Part-V) 1985. (v) Relativity moisture density test as per IS-2720 (Part-II) 1980 for heavy load pavements as per IS-1975. (vi) In place density A; as per IS-1720 (Part-XXXX) 1975. (vii) CBR (California Bearing Ratio) of laboratory compacted soils as per IS-2720 (Part-XVI) 1987, including determination of existing soil profiles. (viii) Swelling properties and swell index as per IS-2720 (Part-XI) 1977 and (Part-XII) 1977. (ix) Soil classification as per IS-1496 of 1970 for Engineering purposes. (x) Determination of organic materials in soil in accordance of IS-2720 Part-XXII of 1972. (xi) Laboratory determinations of permeability as per IS-2720 (Part 36 of 1987 and Part-13 of 1972). (b) Test to be conducted at a distance of 400m approximate, staggered on left edge, centre and right edge of the road alignment. (c) Field Investigation be carried out for CBR value as per IS-2720 (Part-16&Part-31) And as per IS-9214; 1979 for design of flexible and right pavement respectively. Total Location for ‘CBR’ value – 13 Nos places 04 Nos bore hole of 10m depth each
