| 1 | Attending to complaints pertaining to unserviceability of Security Lights and High Mast Lights, of any make or capacity, and other related electrical complaints installed on poles, walls, buildings and high masts, including lowering of lantern carriage where required, inside Tech Area of AF Stn, by deploying a skilled electrician for inspection and identification of defects, complete as specified and directed.
NOTES:-
(i) The contractor shall ensure that his supervisor contacts the concerned JE/complaint cell attendant every morning on working days and obtains details of complaints received. Complaints may also be communicated telephonically.
(ii) The contractor shall attend to the complaints on the same day and make all reasonable efforts to identify the defect. Where major repair or replacement of luminaire is required, the same shall be intimated to the JE/Engineer-in-Charge immediately.
(iii) Repairs/replacement of defective parts shall be measured and paid separately under the appropriate items of Schedule 'A'.
(iv) Failure to attend a complaint on the same day shall attract a penalty of ₹100/- per day per complaint, recoverable from the payment due to the contractor. Decision of GE in this regard shall be final and binding.
(v) Contractor shall provide a complaint register of 100 pages for recording complaints attended. Cost shall be deemed included in the quoted rate.
(vi) Any single luminaire involving multiple defects shall be considered as one complaint/one unit for this item.
(vii) Pole number and details of repairs shall be recorded in tabular form in an ascending alphabetical/serial sequence, such as D-1, D-2, T-1, T-2, etc. | 1,050 | EACH COMPLAINT | - | - |
| 2 | Repair of unserviceable/defective light fittings, without taking down, of any type or wattage, fixed on poles, walls, buildings and high masts, including replacement of defective components such as driver, SPD, PCB, LED lamp, etc., repair of connections/junction boxes, cleaning of luminaire and checking for proper functioning, including testing, complete as specified and directed.
NOTE: Minor rectification of other defects related to the light installation, but not forming part of the light fitting itself, such as defective connections, terminals, holders, junction boxes, internal wiring, etc., shall also be measured and paid under this item, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. | 650 | EACH | - | - |
| 3 | Repair of unserviceable/defective light fittings, including taking down, of any type or wattage, from poles, walls, buildings and high masts, including disconnection of electrical connections, replacement of defective components/accessories such as driver, SPD, PCB, LED lamp, brackets, etc., cleaning, refixing in original position and checking for proper functioning, including testing, complete as specified and directed.
NOTES COMMON TO ITEM NO 02 AND 03 :-
(i) Major components/parts required for repair of light fittings shall be measured and paid under the appropriate items of Schedule 'A' as supply-only items.
(ii) Quoted rate shall include minor spares, accessories and consumables, other than those separately listed for payment, required for satisfactory completion of repairs. No additional claim shall be entertained.
(iii) The contractor shall keep the required minor spares, accessories and consumables readily available for attending complaints without delay.
(iv) Any light fitting requiring multiple repairs shall be measured as one unit under the applicable repair item. Separately payable components replaced shall be measured separately. | 301 | EACH | - | - |
| 4 | Taking down of unserviceable/defective light fittings, of any wattage, from poles, walls, buildings, high masts, etc., after disconnecting all electrical connections, and depositing the removed fitting at the place directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, complete as specified and directed.
NOTE: This item shall be measured only for light fittings which, after inspection, are found beyond economical repair and are approved for replacement by the Engineer-in-Charge. The fitting shall be inspected in the presence of the JE/Engineer-in-Charge before taking down. | 99 | EACH | - | - |
