Battery terminal (Positive ) with bolt and nut brass heavy duty as per specifications mentioned below: Visual Observations: - Each terminal connector shall be embossed with marking + Ve and –Ve Dimension: - Dimension should be as per enclosed drawing at annexure "A" Crack Detection: -To be free from surface cracks. Material:- Casting brass grade 3 of IS: 292:1961 or F-Cu Zn 38 Pb 2 designated as per IS: 2378 Chemical Composition Casting Grade (a) Cu+Ni incidental 64-71 (b) Pb 1.0-3.0 (c) Sn 1.5 max. (d) Fe 0.75 max. (e) Al 0.01 max. (f) Zn Remainder Plating:- The plating should be smooth free from blisters & rores. Corrosion:- It should be corrosion free. Nuts: - Nut shall confirm to IS: 1367 Nut shall be M-8 type with hardness of 170-210 BHN Bolts: - Bolt shall confirm to IS: 1367 Bolt shall be M-8 type with hardness of 230-270 BHN Marking: - The component shall be marked with the manufacturer’s identification mark.
