REPAIRS/MAINTENANCE OF SECURITY LIGHTS, FLOOD LIGHTS, HIGH BAY LIGHTS, LANDSCAPE LIGHTENING AND ALLIED WORKS OF DRDO TOWNSHIP, NAI, CHESS AND ADJACENT AREA UNDER GE (I) RND KANCHANBAGH, HYDERABAD

Repair / maintenance of street / security/Flame proof lights any type, flood lights, post top lanterns or any other external lights in its position fixed on pole / high mast / building structure or by taking down to ground, if required, testing all the components / parts, wiring etc, identifying and replacing the defective components like, electronic driver (in case of LED lights), connector, connection wires/ cable, MCB etc including refixing the fitting to its original position (if taken down), including repair control timer & junction box all as directed by Engr-in-charge . Note: (i) The rate against the above mentioned item is deemed for cost of labour and allied expenses only. (ii) Spares such as, electronic driver, connector, connection wire, MCB, timer spares etc) replaced against above mentioned item will be measured & paid for separately under respective items of BOQ here-in-below.

(iii) The contractor's representative will report to concerned JE E/M at 0900hrs daily complaints received on the same day before 1730hrs to the JE E/M. (iv) The contractor has to rectify the defects / repair and make the street light functional within 24 hours from the time the list of defective street lights is handed over to him / his rep by the concerned JE E/M. In case the street light is not made functional for whatsoever reason within the specified time limit, an amount of Rs 150/- per such defective street light per day will be recovered from the amount due to him through RAR / Final Bill. The contractor shall carry out repair / maint work simultaneously for different areas by engaging separate team of electricians / technicians for DRDO Township/DSC/CHESS NAI area in order to ensure prompt & timely rectification of defects.

(v) Contractor shall arrange requisite and cost sufficient number of transport and vehicle mounted hydraulic ladder at his own cost wherever required. (vi) The contractor shall maintain proper record of repair / maintenance in a binded register duly bringing out the details of spares replaced on each and every street light and get it authenticated from concerned JE E/M on daily basis.(vii) The contractor shall be fully responsible for the safety of his men engaged for executing this work and he will provide all requisite safety equipments and department shall not be responsible for any kind of mishap / accident / injury to his men (viii) The contractor shall maintain sufficient stock of spares

PVC insulated copper conductor FR grade 2.5 sqmm,three core cable, ISI marked.

PVC insulated copper conductor FR grade 1.5 sqmm,three core cable, ISI marked.

PVC insulated alluminium conductor FR grade 4 sqmm, two core flat cable, for service connections, ISI marked.

PVC insulated alluminium conductor FR grade 6 sqmm, two core flat cable, for service connections, ISI marked.

Re-stringing, tightening and fixing in position, the existing OH ACSR conductor LT Line phase with neutral and earth wire 230V, 2/3 wire by loosening and taking down existing binding wire from the insulator of any size of ACSR conductor and bringing it to required sag including provision of new binding wire and tightening of cross arms on each pole and required trimming of tree branches Note: 1.Span length (any No of wires)of conductor shall be measured in running meter unit. 2.Unit rate quoted by the contractor shall be deemed to include for cutting and trimming branches of the trees coming in contact with ACSR conductor and separators as directed.

Cutting/ trimming / punning tree branches overhanging or interfering or obstructing electrical pole or street lights in such a way that the clearance between Street light pole and tree branches should not be less than 3 mtrs around the Pole/Fitting complete all as directed. (Note: Quoted rate is deemed to include necessary hydraulic ladder arrangement and tree cutting machine and tools required at site.)

M&L for scrapping down and removing of old deteriorated paint from steel tubular poles LT preparing surface for painting and applying black & yellow paint strips of 30 cms each upto 1.5 m above the PCC and applying one coat of red oxide and two coats of aluminium paint for the remaining height of pole including MS clamps, GI bracket, fittings etc and marking of pole No, 2m above the PCC muff, letter shall not be more than 6 cm height with 16 cm dia circle around the marked No. complete all as directed. Note : Quoted rate is deemed to include removal of any type of boards, direction plates etc and refixing the same after painting
