Demolition of cement concrete of any description exceeding 15cm thickness as in floor/pavings/hardstanding and removing the debris upto 5 Km or outside MD land complete all as specified and directed.
M&L for coarse sand filling under floor or in foundation including watering, leveling and consolidation etc. complete all as specified and directed.
M&L for high density polythene film ( transparent colour) in single layer of 400 micron thickness of virgin quality (as per ASTM D-2103, IS-2508) , non-recycled laid with side and end overlapping not less than 300mm complete all as specified and directed. Note : (i) Coarse Sand layer shall be measured and paid separately under respective item of BOQ. (ii) Measurement shall be for net area. Quoted rate shall be deemed to include overlapping of polythene film.
M&L for finishing surface of concrete pavement by brooming while concrete is green complete all as specified and directed.
M&L for Pavement Quality Concrete (PQC) thickness upto 250mm with minimum field Flexural Strength of 45 Kg/Sqcm lower control limit (LCL) at 28 days in pavement slab using min 400 Kg of cement per cum (only 43 grade OPC must be used in PQC) mixed with non circular synthetic fibre reinforcement by mech means at the rate of 0.25% by weight of cement per cum of PQC. The max size of aggregate in PQC must be 31.5 mm and gradation (as per Table 600-3 of MORTH Specification) including formwork for laying in bays, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge Note :- (i) Expansion joints, Construction joints and Dummy (Contraction) joints shall be measured and paid separately under respective items. (ii) Deduction shall be made in computing concrete quantity for expansion joints. No deduction shall be made in computing PQC for Construction joints and Dummy (Contraction) joints. (iii) Finishing coat shall be measured and paid separately. (iv) Polyester triangular fibers as secondly reinforcement shall be supplied and mixed which shall be deemed to be include in to quoted rate. (v) For the purpose of pricing this item, cement content shall be considered 400 Kg/Cum. Minus price adjustment @ Rs 8 per Kg for cement shall be made to the quoted rates in case quantity of cement is less than 400 Kg/ Cum. However no plus price adjustment shall be made to the quoted rate in case quantity of cement is more than 400 Kg/ Cum. (vi) The cost of admixture required as per design mix shall deemed to be included in the quoted rates. (vii) Design mix for PQC shall be got carried out by the contractor from NABH accedredited IIT/NIT/Govt Engg College/Govt approved Lab and shall be got approved by GE before commencement of cement concrete work in PQC/hardstanding.
Supply only non circular, virgin, synthetic, monofilament polyster fibres of length 12mm to 18mm, specific gravity 1.34 to 1.39, UV stable alkali resistant, equivalent diameter 15 to 40 micron, minimum melting temperature 250°C and minimum tensile strength 300MPa be used upto 0.25% by weight of cement, all as per IS codes complete all as specified and directed.
M&L for forming Expansion Joints 25mm wide and up to required depth of PQC (Hardstanding). Early enrty saw and subsequent cutting by using diamond bit cutter of approproate size, straight and smooth edges, cleaning joints thoroughly by air compressor, making the joints dry, vaccum cleaned and making free of dust, dirt, oil, grease, vegetaion and other debris, filling the joint with 25mm thick premoulded compressible polyethylene closed cell type filler board as specified thereafter applying two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod and pouring the sealant , placing of closed cell medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of minimum 30mm dia over filler board and filling with polyurethane based sealant complying with requirements of BS 5212, BS4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factot MAF (+/-)30% having minimum 10 years performance guarantee applying maskedtape on edges of joints and removing masking tape after filling of sealant as per method specified by the manufacturer iincluding removal of debris from site complete all as specified and directed.
M&L for forming Dummy/Contaction Joints an initial saw cut of 3mm soon after the concrete has set, upto a depth of 1/3 to 1/4 of thickness of the PQC slab, widening the first saw cut to 6mm and 24mm deep by using diamond bit cutter of approproate size, straight and smooth edges, cleaning joints thoroughly by air compressor, making the joints dry, vaccum cleaned and making free of dust, dirt, oil, grease, vegetaion and other debris, filling the joint premoulded compressible polyethylene closed cell medium density filler board as specified thereafter applying two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod and pouring the sealant , placing of closed cell medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of minimum 8mm dia over filler board and filling with polyurethane based sealant complying with requirements of BS 5212, BS4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factot MAF (+/-)30% having minimum 10 years performance guarantee applying maskedtape on edges of joints and removing masking tape after filling of sealant as per method specified by the manufacturer iincluding removal of debris from site complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparation of black top bituminious runways/links/ aircraft operating surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms/mechanical means to remove all loose dust, dirt etc and taking out with compressed air and making the surface free from dust etc, drying the surface and applying unifirmly two coats of cold Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) by using self-propelled emulsion distribution assemply or towed emulsion pressure sprayer, equipped for spraying the PME uniformly & mopping the surfaces, total undiluted PME @ minimum 1.00 litre per sqm in two coats in the ration 1:1 (PME : Water) and ensure uniform finish of PME on runways/links etc complete all as per manufacturer's instructions and all as specified and directed. Note:- Unit rates qouted by the contractors/bidders shall be deemed to be included for the following aspects:- (i) The work shall be carried out through authorised & registered applicator of the manufacturer. Softening point of residual bitumen shall be above 60 degree celsius. (ii) Special care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks up to 3mm size with mineral filler as per manufacturer's insturctions and quoted rate is included for repair of gaps/cracks. (iii) A performance guarantee certificate for two year shall be submitted by the Contractor on completion of the works as specified. (iv) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess/wastage quantity of polymer modified emulsion (PME) than that mentioned above is used depending upon condition of the surface to be treated. (v) Minus price adjustment as per pro-rata of quoted rate for min 1.0 litre/Sqm in two coats shall be made if less quantity of PME as per manufacturer's instructions and subsequently approved by GE is used in work.
(vi) Initial setting time four to five hours but not more than eight hours. (vii) Trial patch of size 3m x 3m of minimum three makes as listed in tender document. (viii) On approval of trial patch the contractor shall immediately procure the total qty of material required and also submit PVs and test reports before commencement of work. (ix) The commencement and completion of work shall be within the preiod as per site availability and users directives and the Contractor shall adhere strictly to the time lines by complying for all emergency requirements as per direction of users and complete the work satisfactorily in all respects within the specified period. (x) Cost of all tests as specified in PS shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates of the respective items of the BOQ/Sch'A'.
M&L for preparation of old painted concrete / bituminous surfaces exceeding 10 cm width or girth of runways, roads, halipads pavements and the like and painting lines, dashes, arrows letters etc with road marking paint white, golden yellow or any other colour as required and the painted surfaces shall stand out boldly and solidly without showing signs of brush marks or surface underneath, if necessary surface shall be repaired until the desired result is obtained etc complete all as specified and directed.
