M&L for cleaning of service tanks of the capacity as mentioned below on roof top of bldgs upto forth storey after disconnection from inlet and outlet pipe, removing of float valve of service tank and keep aside safely for reuse drain out water through drain plug, cleaning thoroughly to remove all scales and dirt by brushing internal surface, cleaning properly inside with bleaching powder, flushing out with fresh water, re-positioning of tank at same place, re-connecting inlet and outlet pipes, closing of drain plug, re-installation of float valve duly cleaned, writing/ labelling the record of cleaning carried out with white/black bold letter such as "TANK CLEANED ON" (date), including removing creepers, vegitation and roots of plants, trees branches on or surrounding of service tank complete all as directed. Note:-(i) Unit rate quoted is deemed to be included for testing of water supply in tank both inlet and outlet flow during next supply hours. (ii) Contractor shall maintain a register for cleaning carried out with date and obtain users signature and remarks if any and this register to be submitted to JE E/M alongwith RAR. (iii) Contractor is liable to rectify any damages to the external finishes of the bldg occured during the cleaning process, i.e. scrubbing and touch up with external paints as existing specifications. Unit rate quoted is deemed too be included the cost of the same. (iv) All sort of petty T&P items such as ladder, safety equipment, nuts, bolts, washers etc. required to accomplish the job shall be provided by the contractor with out any extra cost to dept.

M&L for repairs to 400mm bore non- return valves by opening valve, cleaning the gates with wire brush, removing deposited scales/ foreign materials, rubbing the seat with emery paper and repalcing unserviceable gasket and worn out parts etc, and refixing back to original position, complete all as specified and as directed

Excavation and earth work in mud/hard soil etc by using machinary/labour to any length to attend pipe line breakdown as per site conditions and forming bund with excavated soil to avoid water entering into the working area including pumping/bailing out water by using portable diesel engine driven pump set including the following complete all as specified and as directed :- (i) Cutting of unserviceable CI/DI pipe of size 300/400/500 mm dia after thorough inspection for the damage including bailing out water using portable pump set. (ii) Taking out damaged/ unserviceable pipe after removing from rubber tyton joint/burning out lead joints at both ends & replacing new 300/400/500 mm dia DI pipe line in lieu of existing in to trenches using machinary / labour as required complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (iii) Transportation of DI pipe / fittings of size 300/400/500 mm dia from Prothrapur Pump house to work site and cutting the pipe to required length to suit site conditions. (iv) Jointing pipe by using rubber tyton rings 300/400/500mm dia to the corresponding socket and spigot ends of the existing pipe line after aligning the pipe line as per site condition, inserting the CI collar of size 300/400/500 mm dia, complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (v) Making run lead joints in CI collar 300/400/500 mm dia or in any other specials of any size and any type, caulking of joints and testing for leakages if any, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (vi) Returning filling in including removal of surplus mud/excavated materials with the help of earthmoving machinery (Hitachi), complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for excavation and earth work in hard soil by using machinary/labour to any length to clearing blockage of 250 mm dia pipe line as per site conditions including the following complete all as specified and as directed :- (i) Cutting/Taking out of unserviceable DI pipe of size 250 mm dia and refixing the pipeline with rubber tyton joint/lead joints (ii) Taking out damaged/ unserviceable pipe after removing from rubber tyton joint/burning out lead joints at both ends & replacing new 250 mm dia DI pipe line using machinary / labour. (iii) Jointing pipe by using rubber tyton rings 250 dia to the corresponding socket and spigot ends of the existing pipe line after aligning the pipe line, inserting the CI collar of size 250 mm dia, complete all as directed (v) Making run lead joints in CI collar 250 mm dia or in any other specials of any size and any type, caulking of joints and testing for leakages if any, complete all as specified and as directed

Note for item No 19.00 & 20.00 :- (a) DI pipe and fittings of any dia shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item here in before. (b) Cost of tools & plants as required for work & transportation is deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted. (c) The Contractor shall take due care while executing the work (i.e., sepecially taking out old existing pipe line and laying new pipe line). Any damage to the existing services (i.e electrical cable,telephone cable,water supply pipe line and road etc) during execution of work shall be repaired immediatly and cost of the same is deemed to be included in the quoted rates)

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 m wide and n.exc. 1.5 m deep and getting out for taking out or laying of pipes / cable of any size in Soft/ loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Returning filling in including spreading leveling watering and well ramming in layers n.exc. 25cm in any type of soil complete all as specified and directed.

Removing surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point as directed.

M&L for preparing old painted or untreated exposed surfaces of CI / DI Pipes of any size (upto 500 mm bore), Valve Chamber Covers, clarifloculators, pump motors, railing any type and applying one coat of black coloured weather proof synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for construction of valve chamber of size 1200mmx1200mm x1200mm internal size suitable for sluice valve with PCC 1:3:6 type (C2) (using 40mm graded aggregate) for foundation, one hollow block masonry wall in cement mortar (1:4), 40mm thick PCC (1:2:4) type B1 (using 20mm graded aggregate) coping, rendering in CM 1:4, 15mm thick including provision of mild steel sheet cover of 3mm thick on 40x40x6 mm angle iron frame work emmbedded in concrete with suitable hinges and locking arrangements including two coats of black synthetic enamel black paint over a coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer to steel surfaces and including necessary excavation earth work on any type of soil etc. including removal of surplus soil and rubbish not exceeding 50m distance, including demolition of old valve chambers complete all as specified and as directed.

A register shall be maintained to record all orders & instructions and their complaints and is to be signed by the contractor/his representative and the Engineer-in -Charge / JE Concered. 2. In case the contractor fails to attend/rectify the defects within the above time limit, penalty will the imposed as Rs 1500/- per day in case of complaints/jobs.
