Daily collection of the deposited biodegradable garbage from the specified garbage bins placed at each and every buildings and strategic locations of the IIEST, Shibpur campus and transferring the collected garbage by suitable vehicles / carts to the designated dumping yards / vats of the Howrah Municipal Corporation or any place in the campus directed by the authority from time to time. Daily collection of the deposited non-biodegradable garbage from the specified garbage bins placed at each and every buildings and strategic locations of the IIEST, Shibpur campus and transferring the collected garbage by suitable closed vehicles / cart to the designated dumping yards, vats of the Howrah Municipal Corporation or any other place in the campus directed by the authority from time to time. The buildings include inter alia, hostels, staff quarters, and academic as well as administrative buildings. (..AS PER NIT)
The supply of coloured 100 litres garbage bins,320 numbers separately for biodegradable and non-biodegradable deposits as necessary for the entire contract period at each and every building and strategic locations of the IIEST, Shibpur campus as will be fixed by the competent authority of the institute. Out of 320 bins, 50% bins should be of green colour and rest should be of blue colour. The bins should be designed such that they are not easily accessed by the dogs but can be used by the users without discomfort. Regular maintenance of the garbage bins and replacement of the broken bins and keeping the bins and the dumping areas / vats, if within the campus, clean and hygienic by washing and spreading necessary chemicals.
