Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud, loose materials etc., sweeping with mechanical blower or brooms to remove all loose dirt, materials etc., complete all as specified and as directed.

Applying evenly using pressure sprayer a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer of paving bitumen of Grade VG-10 at 5 kg / 10 Sqm over bituminous surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

Premix Dense Bituminous Macadam (DBM), as in profile layer, with grading 2 of IRC laid in layers of 50mm or less (consolidated) thickness using 4.0% binder content by weight of total mix, with paving bitumen of grade VG-30 using hot mix plant spread, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete using mechanical sensor paver and rolled to a uniform, smooth surface using Tandem vibratory roller complete all as specified and as directed.

Notes:-

(a) Contractor shall quote his rate by considering 4.0% bitumen content. If it is less than 4.0% by weight of total mix, the amount shall be recovered for the less weight of binder only at the rate of Rs 42/- per Kg if technically acceptable. No other claim whatsoever on account of this will be allowed.

(b) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of binder content is used / approved in the execution of work under this item.

(c) DBM shall be as per MORTH specifications including minimum binder content mention therein and as detailed in particular specifications.

(d) Supply and mixing of hydrated lime or cement or both in case TSR is less than 80% is deemed to be included rate quoted.

(e) The marshall stability shall be a minimum of 900 kg.

(f) The coarse aggregate for DBM shall be granite stone.

Premix Dense Asphaltic Concrete (DAC) conforming to IRC:SP-53-2002 with grading 2 of IRC 40 mm thick (consolidated thickness) in single layer bitumen of grade VG-30 with 6.0% minimum binder content mixed by weight of total mix and filler of 2% cement using hot mix plant spread, rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete using necessary mechanical sensor paver and tandem vibratory roller capacity complete all as specified and as directed.

(a) Contractor shall quote his rate by considering 6.0% bitumen content. If it is less than 6.0% by weight of total mix, the amount shall be recovered for the less weight of binder only at the rate of Rs 42/- per Kg if technically acceptable. No other claim whatsoever on account of this will be allowed.

(b) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of binder content is used / approved in the execution of work under this item.

(c) Cement shall be used as filler at a minimum of 2% by weight of total mix. In the event of variation in the mix design in the percentage of filler content on plus side, nothing extra shall be paid.

(d) The marshall stability shall be a minimum of 1200 kg.

(e) The coarse aggregate for DAC shall be granite stone.
