BOQ ( REPAIR/REPLACEMENT MAINT OF EOT CRANES, LT CABLES ALONGWITH ALLIED E/M WORKS AT AF STATION SURATGARH)

Locating the fault in LT cable of any size for any type of fault like open cable, short between phases/ neutral, grounded cable with help of cable fault locator and pin pointing location with the help of audio signal, excavation at the fault and opening cable to suitable distance and depth for making a cable joint complete all as speified and as directed. ( Note: 1. The joint kit and necessay earth work will be measured and paid separately. 2. Contractor will have to arrange the cable fault locator or other testing equipments/tools as required and same shall be deemed to be included in the item rate quoted.)

Taking down existing old unserviceable underground LT cable upto size 50 Sqmm, 4/3.5 /2 core keeping aside for reuse/removal from trenches/ wall/pole complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per serial item No: 2.00 here-in- before but LT cable size of 70 to 95 Sqmm x 3.5 Core

M & L in repair LT end termination kit, heat shrinkable outdoor type suitable for XLPE, armoured cables taking down the cable from over head line for making joint and reconnecting to overhead lines for cable of size 3.5 Core 25 Sqmm to 50 Sqmm complete all as specified and as directed. Make: Raychem/ Denson/ M-Seal

M & L in repair for LT heat shrinkable straight through joint for PVC/XLPE insulated armoured cable of size upto 50 Sqmm complete all as specified and as directed. Make: Raychem/Denson/M-Seal

Relaying of cable upto 50 Sqmm 4/3.5/2 Core after rectification of defects in the same in trench/wall/pole or at any other location complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

XLPE insulated, screened, PVC bedded, galvanised steel strip or wire armoured heavy duty electric power cable 1100 volts with stranded aluminium conductor of size 16 Sqmm 2 core laid in trenches or under road complete all as specified and as directed. (Note: Excavation, sand and brick work will be measure & paid separately)

M & L for cutting of existing bitumen road/ hard standing / PCC for laying of cable/protection pipe complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Excavation in trenches n .exc 1.5 mtr wide and not exc 1.5 mtr in depth for foundation etc or for laying pipe lines and cables and getting out as in looses/soft soil complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Returning filling in including spreading leveling, watering and well ramming in layer not exc. 25 cm in soft/ loose soil, complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material to a distance not exc 50m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for sand cushioning below and around cable in trenches with river sand complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for brick of common burnt clay, sub class 'B' old size laid flat and dry on cables as in cable protection in trenches over cables perpendicular to direction of cables abutting each other complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for galvanised iron steel tubes, ISI marked light grade of size 50mm bore for cable protection along the poles under road under drains complete all as specified. Make: Jindal / TATA / Surya

All as per serial item No: 21.00 here-in-before but of size 80 mm bore.

Taking down existing old ACSR from PCC/Steel poles complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Taking down existing old cross arms of MS channel or angle sections etc all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Dismantling of old insulators pin/shakle complete and keeping aside for removal all as specified and directed.

Labour only for re-stretching properly sagged/loose ACSR conductor of any size fixed on LT poles by means of machine method to the permissible limit at different location including tightening of cross arms or D clamps and binding with new binding wire, tightening of jumpers complete all as specified and directed. (Note: 1. Each line of conductor shall be measured. 2. Rate including unwinding of old winding wire and rewind with new binding wire after restretching)

S & F in replacement insulator, shackle type, porcelain, white, brown or green insulator for working pressure 1100 volts grade of 115 mm dia and 100 mm height including galvanised mild steel section of straps 31x5 mm and 14 mm dia insulator bolt, washers and nuts etc complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix Pin type, porcelain, vitreous, white, brown or green insulator 1100 V grade including one galvanised mild steel spindle, two galvanised iron washers and one galvanised iron nut, 100mm height, 65mm dia complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & labour for carring out comprehensive maintenanace including normal repairs and preventive maintenance for 1.5/2/3 Ton capacity Electrically operated overhead travelling (EOT) / Hand operated overhead travelling (HOT) / Monorail cranes floor operated including weekly tests, load test (vertically test and deflection test ) and maintenanace of crane panel, thrusher brakes, electric motors, steel ropes, crane cabins, limit switches, all electrical and control cables, bus bars, gear oil, pendants along with push buttons etc once in a week as per Appx '1' complete all as specified and as directed for following cranes . (a) EOT crane 1.5 Ton capacity installed at Role Equipment Bay - 02 Nos (b) EOT crane 3 Ton capacity installed at Power Plant Bay - 01 Nos, (c) Mono Rail crane 2 Ton capacity installed at New Bomb Dump - 06 Nos (d) HOT crane 2 Ton capacity installed at New Bomb Dump - 03 Nos, (e) Wing MT- 02 Nos

Notes: (a) Cost of bearing, fixed/ finger contacts, spares kits for starters, renewal of unserviceable gears, greasing to wheel drum and the ropes, renewal of push buttons, limit switch, control panels fuse, thermal relay, under voltage relay, power contactors, internal wiring of LT panel board, interconnections of other miscellaneous spares not covered under the scope of work but required for the complete satisfactory comprehensive maintenance of the crane except those listed below shall be deemed to include in the unit rate quoted. (b) Cost of repair/ testing such as load test with 10% extra load, thresher brakes, rewinding of electric motors, steel ropes, control cables, gear oil will be measured and paid separately under relevent items of this BOQ. (c) Labour element of spares listed below as supply only also deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted. (d) The contractor has to employ minimum one experienced and trained electrician having full knowledge on cranes and one helper to carry out regular maintenanace for smooth and effective functiong of cranes and the cost deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor.

(e) Any complaints regarding breakdown will be attended with in 24 Hours failing which an amount of Rs. 491 per day for electrician and 450 per day for helper as per rates circulated by the Labour Commisioner will be deducted from the RAR due to contractor. (f) technicial is responsible for cleaning and maintenance for EOT/HOT/Monorail Cranes. (g) Necessary tools & plants like ladder etc required to attend the breakdown if any shall be provided by the contractor and the cost is deemed to include in the unit rate quoted. (h) The contrctor should submit the identity proof of technicians/ Persons visiting the site and also responsible for the integrity of the personal attending the break down, weekly visit.

M & L for carrying out full load test (with 10% extra load) of EOT/HOT/Monorail cranes 1.5 to 3 Ton capacity including carry out vertically test and deflection test in the presence of the user complete all as specified and directed. Notes: (i) Cost of T & P required is deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted. (ii) Loads required for testing shall be arranged by the contractor and cost for the same is deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted. (iii) The contractor shall arrange the sealing with "O" ring and "D" shackles for connecting the loads and the cost deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted.

Supply only new gear oil 50 grade as per IS:8406/1993 complete in the speed control/transfer gear mesh box / sumps / boxes / tanks of LT / CT / Main hoist / Auxiliary hoist of EOT / HOT / Monorail cranes all as specified and directed.

Supply only stabilized power supply electronic card of supply input 240/220 Volt, 50Hz and output of 24 Volts DC supply of current rating upto 6 Amps heavy duty continuous rated capacity for controlled supply to cranes complete all as specified and as directed By Engineer-in- Charge.

Supply only three pole power contactors of rating AC1/AC3 of capacity 40Amp suitable for robust and hostile application with control voltage of 110V/240V and 2 NO+2NC suitable for existing system complete all as specified and directed. Make: Siemens/Schneider/L&T/GE

Supply only push buttons including elements suitable for 1.5 to 3 Ton EOT/HOT/Monorail cranes. Make: Siemens/Schneider/L&T/GE.

Supply only limit switch (lever type, 2 way cut out). Make: Sterling Controls Pvt Ltd/ Siemens/EMM

Supply only carbon brushes for slip rings motors of Capacity 1 HP to 3 HP

Supply only bridge rectifier with protection fuse suitable for 1.5 to 3 Ton EOT/HOT/Monorail cranes

Supply only rotary limit switch for main switch for main hoist suitable for 1.5 to 3 Ton EOT/HOT/Monorail cranes. Make: Sterling Controls Pvt Ltd/ Siemens / EMM

Supply only, power contactor LT 500 volt, 32 Amps, 4 pole including of contractor block, complete all as specified. Make : Siemens / L&T / GE / BCH

Supply only steel wire rope size 12mm for EOT crane complete all as specified. Make: Usha Martin / Fort William

Supply only copper conductor multistranded cable , 1100 volts grade, 6 Sqmm 3 core for OH crane complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L for preparation of iron/ steel surfaces of 1.5 to 3 Ton capacity EOT/HOT/Monorail cranes by rubbing and making free from oils, grease and dust and appplying one coat of polyurethene paint using spray gun on the surfaces of motors electrical/control panels, wires rope drums, hoist hook, platforms, ladders, brackets, cabins, hand rails including all components with existing colour scheme all as specified and as directed.

M & L for replacement of brake shoe liners (6/8 mm thick) made of treated fabric lining complete suitable for EHT/EMDC brake of 150 to 300mm drum size including riveting to brake shoe all as specified and directed

Removing of unserviceable brake coil of thruster brakes in LT motion/CT motion/Main hoist/Auxiliary hoist including cutting and removing the burnt winding and rewinding with existing size of super enamelled copper conductor, applying insulating varnish, drying the coil only in original position upto size of 200mm for cranes of capacity 1.5Ton to 3 Ton complete including testing all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Contract Amount shall be derived after affecting the amount of Schedule of Credit in General Summary on serial page No 15 of tender documents.
