Resurfacing of road at certain location in Army area at Udaipur Military Station

Amount

Scarifying or picking graveled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area n exc 400 sqm and exc 50mm deep but n exc 100mm deep, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparing black top surfaces of roads by brushing with wire brush for removing cracked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a tack coat with paving bitumen 80/100 (VG-10) grade at 5 Kg per 10 Sqm on black top surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for laying premixed bituminous macadam (using binder not less than 4% by weight of total mix) rolled and compected to required gradient and camber (consodlidated thickness average 40 mm) using VG-30 paving bitumen, complete all as specified and as directed. Note: No extra payment will be made if binder is more than 4%.

Preparing surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms & finally fanning the cleaned surface with air compressor to remove all loose dirt and applying evenly a tack coat @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm of paving bitumen of VG -10 and material and labour for providing 40mm thick (consolidated thickness) bituminous premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix using VG-30 paving bitumen, with mechanical paver, mixed in hot mix plant, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne power roller or vibrator roller as specified and directed. Note :- (a) VG-30 Paving bitumen content beyond 5.5% if required on account of design mix shall not be paid and shall be deemed to be included in unit quoted rate.

Repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 sq m each including sweeping free from dust & mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting arounds edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat at 5 kg per 10 sq m. putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed & sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 sq m, blinded with 0.09 cu m of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size & again will rammed (including supply or premixed macadam, binder & chippings), depth of potholes exc 30mm, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for painting lines, dashes,arrows, letters etc on roads, pavements and the like exceeding 10cm wide with retro reflective Thermoplastic road marking Paint (white or golden yellow colour) complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixed in repair dual (62 beads minimum) cat eye alluminium casted body of size 100mmx100mm having ABS plastic strip containing 62 mini retro reflective glass beads of colour white/red/yellow on both sides(minimum 31 beads on each side) fixed complete with steel zinc plated nails/stud of dia 12mm and of length 120mm, complete all as speified and directed Make : Greenlite or equivalent as approved by Engr-in-charge.

Excavation over areas, n exc 1.5m deep & getting out in Hard / Dence soil and removing of excaveted material exc. 1.5 KM but n.exc 5.0 km and depositing where directed andForming embankments including raising (or lowering) earth, spreading in layers n.exc 30 cm thick; watering, ramming/rolling and finishing to required size, shape, etc. n.exc 1.5m high from base.
