Pre-fab structure No 1 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR PRE-FAB STRUCTURE MADE UP OF STEEL AND PUF PANELLS IN WALLS - 01 Rooms of size 6'-0" x 4'-0" with slope roof . Pre-Fabricated shelter made up of steel structure and PUF panels in wall and technical specifications given below. The main and partition walls will be made up of 60mm thick PUF insulated panels. The false ceiling will be provided with PUF insulated panels as specified below. Roof covering will be provided with 0.63 mm thick colour coated profile sheets. a) Foundation of the Prefabricated Structure as per the direction given by the Incharge Engineer at site b) Columns. The main columns will be made out of R H Steel section of size 122x61x3.60 mm conforming to IS 4923:1997 MS base plate of size 250x250x8mm and top plate of size 200x150x8mm will be welded to the columns. Verandah columns will be made out of RH steel section 96x48x4mm thick with MS base plate of size 200 mm x200mmx8mm and top plate of size 200x150x8mm. all top and base plates will be pre-drilled with 4 Nos. 18mm dia holes. Base plates will be provided with 4 Nos 16mm dia 450 mm long holding down bolts each, while top plates will be provided with 4 Nos 16 mm dia normal bolts. c) Truss. The principal rafter and the bottom chord will be fabricated out of RH steel sections of size 96x48x4mm with 1:2 slope. All other strut members will be fabricated out of RH Steel sections of size 66x33x2.90mm. d) Purlins. The purlins will be fabricated out of RH steel sections of size 96x48x4 mm with 6mm thick cleats welded at both the ends. e) The roof will be provided with 0.50mm thick colour coated steel profile sheets. Sheet covering will be fixed with using hot dip zinc coated self drilling hexagonal washer head fasteners. Ridge shall be covered by 0.63mm thick colour coated steel sheet. The sheets shall be laid with minimum end and side lap of 150mm. f) Sunshades. Suitable sunshades made out of colour coated sheet reinforced with angle iron frame will be provided to all external windows and doors. The minimum projection for the sunshades will be 450 mm and 300mm wider than the width of the opening. Wall Panels. g) The main and partition walls will be made up of 60 mm thick wall Panels of make Llod panel system /Modern Panels/Jindal Mectecnol/PSL Engineering. The Panels will be made of 0.63mm thick hot dipped galvanized steel sheets on both sides with 60mm thick layer of rigid CFC free close cell polyurethane foam (Density 40 Kg+2 Kg/Cum) insulation. The wall panels will be provided with tongue and groove joint and will be with cam lock systems for interlocking. All materials required for the manufacture of shelter will be new and shall comply with relevant Bureau of Indian Standard Specification. Base channel of size 30x65x1.25mm thick will be provided for walls. h) The PUF insulation material in the panel will have fire retarding and self extinguishing properties as per any international standard B2 DIN 4102 Part-I/BS-4735 Self Ext. i) GI Metal Skin PUF Panels. (i )Thickness of skin-0.63mm thick hot dipped galvanized steel sheets on inner and outer side with 50-micron thick PVC guard film on the finished surface only for protection against scratches during handling and transportation. Base metal of GI Skin CRCA as per IS-513, Galvanized as per 120, SI-277. (ii)The panels will be insulated with PUF Foam (Density 40 Kg + 2 Kg/cum). (iii) These panels are to be manufactured using high pressure dispensing machine of required capacity to inject specified amount of PUF chemical into the cavity of full panel in one shot not exceeding 25 sec duration. This is to ensure that the liquid PUF mixture is sprayed into the cavity before the foaming reaction starts so that the insulation core of the panel is formed in one piece and provides desired structural and physical properties. The bulk density of insulation should be 40 Kg/Cum and the impending machinery should be equipped with a PLC controlled panel for monitoring and controlling the injection rate to assure specified uniform density requirements. (j) The pre coated GI sheet should have minimum coating of 4-5 micron epoxy primer and 25 micron polyester top coat on the finished surface and 7-8 micron primer alkyd backer on backside, which is bounded to the polyurethane foam. The pre coated GI sheet should conform to IS-14246-1995 with manufacturer test certificates conforming above specification. (k) The PUF insulated core of these composite panels will have the following properties:- (i) Density=40+ 2 Kg per cum. (ii) Compressive Strength at 10% deformation =2.10 Kg/Cm2. (iii) Tensile Strength =3.7 Kg/Cm2 (iv) Bending Strength =4.0 Kg/Cm2 (v) Adhesion Strength = 2.90 Kg/Cm2 (vi) Dimensional Stability (48 hours) (aa) 25 C =0.10% (ab) +38 C & 90% RH =0.10% (ac) + 100C =0.40% (vii) Close cell content=90-95% (viii) Temperature Range =(-180 C to+110 C) (ix) Thermal conductivity at 10 C=(0.0180 K-Cal/M-HR Degree C) (Design value o.020 k-cal/m-hr C or 0.023 W/m-K) (x) Fire Resistant =(Horizontal Extent of burn BS 4735)<125mm) (xi) Self Extinguishing ASTMD 1692 =Passes (Fire retarded foam chemical) Not easily ignitable as per BS:476 Pt 5 Class-I as per BS:476 pt (xii) Water Absorption=0.20% volume at 100% RH (xiii) Water Vapour Permeability =0.08-0.12 gms/hr/m2 (l) The ISO-cyanide and polyol liquid components used for in situ process of polyurethane foam for panels should be accompanied with correlating manufacture test certificate indicating batch nos, date of manufacture and expiry dates. (m) All panels will be moulded in place using the above in-situ process after placing them in a hydraulic press with heated aluminum pattern and corner moulding so as to attain the desire finish, bonding and structural properties. All panels will be manufactured in single piece as per approved panel layout drawings using the above materials and manufacturing process. (n) The consignee can carry out inspection of any panel from the lot at manufacturer premises to ensure that above chemical and physical properties. (o) The colour of panels shall be appliance white colour on both internal and external face. False Ceiling. The false ceiling of Rooms, Toilets and Verandah will be made up of 40 mm thick PUF insulated Panels of Make Lloyd Panel system/Modern Panels/Jindal Mectechno/PSL Engineering or equivalent. The Panels will be made of 0.63 mm thick hot dipped galvanized steel sheets on both side with 40mm thick layer of rigid CFC free close cell polyurethane foam (Density 40 Kg+ 2 Kg/Cum) insulation. The false ceiling panels will be provided with tongue and groove or lip locking joint for interlocking. False ceiling will be supported with the help of inverted CRCA Tee Section 50x50x5 mm thick and L-Section of 50x50x5 mm thick fixed appropriately to the Truss. Openings. (a) Windows. Aluminum profile sliding windows with all fitments will be provided as indicated in the respective drawings. Window size will be 1175x1175mm. The window frame and window shutter will be manufactured using suitable Aluminum sections. The window shutter will be of three leaves of which two shall be provided with glazing of 6mm clear grade LTED 6/2RS 1.3 Polycarbonate sheet make GE structured product and one leaf will be provided with fixed fly proofing using stainless steel mesh of 1.5mm aperture. (b) Doors. Doors will be provided in each shelter as shown in the respective drawing. Door frames and shutters will be made up of suitable Aluminium profile sections. Main shutter will be provided with flush both sides teak ply inserts of appropriate thickness and Fly proof shutter provided on outside of the door using stainless steel mesh of average 1.50mm aperture. The main door shall be provided with built in locking system of make Godrej/Harrison. Two Nos Aluminum tower bolts of 200mm size from inside and one sliding bolt 300mm long and one bow handle 150mm size to be provided on both in and out side of each shutter. Fly proof shutters will be provided with hydraulic door closers. Internal doors will not be provided with fly proof shutters. ©Ventilators. Ventilator of size 450x300mm and of suitable aluminium profile section will be provided in each shelter as shown in the respective drawing. Ventilator will have full stainless steel fly proof mesh of 1.50mm aperture and will have top hinged glazed polycarbonate sheet shutter on inside. Workmanship: (a) Connection. Welded connection will be provided unless otherwise specified in the drawings. The welded connections will be conformed to IS 806-1968 (b) Fabrication. The general provisions in section 11 of IS 800 of 1984 will apply to all types of steel being used for fabrication. (c) All steel members will be provided with 2 coats of red oxide zinc chromate primer before supply. The complete cement concrete flooring in 1:2:4(M-15), electrification ,Painting work wherever required and internal sanitary works as required and approved by Engineer Incharge shall be provided. (d) Various Fasteners and Fittings:- Fasteners and fittings of mild steel shall be supplied unless otherwise specified in and shall be fixed where required. Fastening means will be provided for the items to be fitted at the time of erection. 10% spare nuts, bolts and washers will be provided per shelter. The fasteners supplied shall conform to relevant BIS specification. Finishes.All steel work will be given two coats of red oxide zinc chromate primer and all exposed timber parts will be given two coats of wood primer by the manufacturer in the factory. Eight Liters of red oxide zinc chromate primer and twenty liters white colour paint with appropriate colour stainer per shelter will be provided in sealed containers for retouching and painting after erection. All paint material will be of Jenson & Nicholson/Berger/Asian make.

Wall Panels. g) The main and partition walls will be made up of 60 mm thick wall Panels of make Llod panel system /Modern Panels/Jindal Mectecnol/PSL Engineering. The Panels will be made of 0.63mm thick hot dipped galvanized steel sheets on both sides with 60mm thick layer of rigid CFC free close cell polyurethane foam (Density 40 Kg+2 Kg/Cum) insulation. The wall panels will be provided with tongue and groove joint and will be with cam lock systems for interlocking. All materials required for the manufacture of shelter will be new and shall comply with relevant Bureau of Indian Standard Specification. Base channel of size 30x65x1.25mm thick will be provided for walls. h) The PUF insulation material in the panel will have fire retarding and self extinguishing properties as per any international standard B2 DIN 4102 Part-I/BS-4735 Self Ext. i) GI Metal Skin PUF Panels. (i )Thickness of skin-0.63mm thick hot dipped galvanized steel sheets on inner and outer side with 50-micron thick PVC guard film on the finished surface only for protection against scratches during handling and transportation. Base metal of GI Skin CRCA as per IS-513, Galvanized as per 120, SI-277. (ii)The panels will be insulated with PUF Foam (Density 40 Kg + 2 Kg/cum). (iii) These panels are to be manufactured using high pressure dispensing machine of required capacity to inject specified amount of PUF chemical into the cavity of full panel in one shot not exceeding 25 sec duration. This is to ensure that the liquid PUF mixture is sprayed into the cavity before the foaming reaction starts so that the insulation core of the panel is formed in one piece and provides desired structural and physical properties. The bulk density of insulation should be 40 Kg/Cum and the impending machinery should be equipped with a PLC controlled panel for monitoring and controlling the injection rate to assure specified uniform density requirements. (j) The pre coated GI sheet should have minimum coating of 4-5 micron epoxy primer and 25 micron polyester top coat on the finished surface and 7-8 micron primer alkyd backer on backside, which is bounded to the polyurethane foam. The pre coated GI sheet should conform to IS-14246-1995 with manufacturer test certificates conforming above specification. (k) The PUF insulated core of these composite panels will have the following properties:- (i) Density=40+ 2 Kg per cum. (ii) Compressive Strength at 10% deformation =2.10 Kg/Cm2. (iii) Tensile Strength =3.7 Kg/Cm2 (iv) Bending Strength =4.0 Kg/Cm2 (v) Adhesion Strength = 2.90 Kg/Cm2 (vi) Dimensional Stability (48 hours) (aa) 25 C =0.10% (ab) +38 C & 90% RH =0.10% (ac) + 100C =0.40% (vii) Close cell content=90-95% (viii) Temperature Range =(-180 C to+110 C) (ix) Thermal conductivity at 10 C=(0.0180 K-Cal/M-HR Degree C) (Design value o.020 k-cal/m-hr C or 0.023 W/m-K) (x) Fire Resistant =(Horizontal Extent of burn BS 4735)<125mm) (xi) Self Extinguishing ASTMD 1692 =Passes (Fire retarded foam chemical) Not easily ignitable as per BS:476 Pt 5 Class-I as per BS:476 pt (xii) Water Absorption=0.20% volume at 100% RH (xiii) Water Vapour Permeability =0.08-0.12 gms/hr/m2 (l) The ISO-cyanide and polyol liquid components used for in situ process of polyurethane foam for panels should be accompanied with correlating manufacture test certificate indicating batch nos, date of manufacture and expiry dates. (m) All panels will be moulded in place using the above in-situ process after placing them in a hydraulic press with heated aluminum pattern and corner moulding so as to attain the desire finish, bonding and structural properties. All panels will be manufactured in single piece as per approved panel layout drawings using the above materials and manufacturing process. (n) The consignee can carry out inspection of any panel from the lot at manufacturer premises to ensure that above chemical and physical properties. (o) The colour of panels shall be appliance white colour on both internal and external face. False Ceiling. The false ceiling of Rooms, Toilets and Verandah will be made up of 40 mm thick PUF insulated Panels of Make Lloyd Panel system/Modern Panels/Jindal Mectechno/PSL Engineering or equivalent. The Panels will be made of 0.63 mm thick hot dipped galvanized steel sheets on both side with 40mm thick layer of rigid CFC free close cell polyurethane foam (Density 40 Kg+ 2 Kg/Cum) insulation. The false ceiling panels will be provided with tongue and groove or lip locking joint for interlocking. False ceiling will be supported with the help of inverted CRCA Tee Section 50x50x5 mm thick and L-Section of 50x50x5 mm thick fixed appropriately to the Truss. Openings. (a) Windows. Aluminum profile sliding windows with all fitments will be provided as indicated in the respective drawings. Window size will be 1175x1175mm. The window frame and window shutter will be manufactured using suitable Aluminum sections. The window shutter will be of three leaves of which two shall be provided with glazing of 6mm clear grade LTED 6/2RS 1.3 Polycarbonate sheet make GE structured product and one leaf will be provided with fixed fly proofing using stainless steel mesh of 1.5mm aperture. (b) Doors. Doors will be provided in each shelter as shown in the respective drawing. Door frames and shutters will be made up of suitable Aluminium profile sections. Main shutter will be provided with flush both sides teak ply inserts of appropriate thickness and Fly proof shutter provided on outside of the door using stainless steel mesh of average 1.50mm aperture. The main door shall be provided with built in locking system of make Godrej/Harrison. Two Nos Aluminum tower bolts of 200mm size from inside and one sliding bolt 300mm long and one bow handle 150mm size to be provided on both in and out side of each shutter. Fly proof shutters will be provided with hydraulic door closers. Internal doors will not be provided with fly proof shutters. ©Ventilators. Ventilator of size 450x300mm and of suitable aluminium profile section will be provided in each shelter as shown in the respective drawing. Ventilator will have full stainless steel fly proof mesh of 1.50mm aperture and will have top hinged glazed polycarbonate sheet shutter on inside. Workmanship: (a) Connection. Welded connection will be provided unless otherwise specified in the drawings. The welded connections will be conformed to IS 806-1968 (b) Fabrication. The general provisions in section 11 of IS 800 of 1984 will apply to all types of steel being used for fabrication. (c) All steel members will be provided with 2 coats of red oxide zinc chromate primer before supply. The complete cement concrete flooring in 1:2:4(M-15), electrification ,Painting work wherever required and internal sanitary works as required and approved by Engineer Incharge shall be provided. (d) Various Fasteners and Fittings:- Fasteners and fittings of mild steel shall be supplied unless otherwise specified in and shall be fixed where required. Fastening means will be provided for the items to be fitted at the time of erection. 10% spare nuts, bolts and washers will be provided per shelter. The fasteners supplied shall conform to relevant BIS specification. Finishes.All steel work will be given two coats of red oxide zinc chromate primer and all exposed timber parts will be given two coats of wood primer by the manufacturer in the factory. Eight Liters of red oxide zinc chromate primer and twenty liters white colour paint with appropriate colour stainer per shelter will be provided in sealed containers for retouching and painting after erection. All paint material will be of Jenson & Nicholson/Berger/Asian make.
