REPAIRS TO POT HOLES, BITUMINOUS ROAD, BERMS, KERB WALLS AND ROAD FURNITURE ETC AND ALLIED WORKS UNDER AGE B RIII AT GE DSSC WELLINGTON

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area n.exc 400 sqm and depth exc 50 mm and n.exc 100 mm deep and complete all as specified and directed.

Preparing un-surfaced WBM surfaces by brushing with wire brush for removing caked/mud etc. sweeping with broom and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. and applying evenly a priming/tack coat @ 10 Kg per 10 Sqm using Bitumneous cold emulsion Slow Setting Grade-1 (SS-1) complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for Premix bituminous macadam with binder content 4% by weight of total mix using paving bitumen of grade VG-30,, laid with mechanical paver and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less), with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and directed. (Note: The rates are worked out on the basis of binder content of minimum 4% by weight of total mix. No extra payment shall be made for any additional requirement of binder content)

Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brush for removing caked/mud etc. sweeping with broom and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. and applying evenly a priming/tack coat @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm using bitumenous cold emulsion slow setting grade-1 (SS-1) complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for bituminous premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete, 40 mm consolidated thickness using paving bitumen of Grade VG-30 with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix using hot mix plant and laid by using mechanical paver, rolled and compacted, finished including rolling to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power roller to required compaction complete all as specified and directed. (Note: The minimum binder content shall be of minimum 5.5% by weight of total mix. However, additional requirement of binder content after mix design (if any), the same shall be provided by the contractor without any extra cost to the Govt.)

M & L for Repair to pot holes any depth, not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm using bitumen of Grade VG-10 and putting in pre mixed bituminous mecadam using paving bitumen of grade VG-30, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 Sqm binded with 0.09 cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of pre mixed mecadam binder and chippings) depth of potholes exc 30 mm complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Applying 2 mm thick road marking paint with reflective thermoplastic white road marking paint confirming to BS-3262 (1989), either continuous or broken lines over existing or new painting surfaces of cement or bituminous surfaces (continuous lines, centre lines, dashes, stop lines, arrows etc), n.exc 10 cm width laid down through road marking machine using thermo plastic material by incorporating the white glass powder for reflectivity in white or golden yellow colour by using applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, including cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil grease and foreign material etc complete as direction of Engr-in-Charge and in accordance with applicable specification complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F in repairs solar cat eye aluminum alloy shall (100% water proofing design according to 65) of size 125mm x 125mm x 25mm (shank 65mm) of high efficiency Mono rystafie solar panel 2.4V/ 0.3 watt one NI-ed rechargeable battery (1.2V/ 1600MA) consisting of super bright LED with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd completed as per manufactures instructions etc. all as specified and directed

S & F in repair Poly Carbonate Convex Mirror outdoor type 1200mm dia mounted and fixed to 80mm bore, medium grade MS pipe of 1000mm from NGL with PCC 1:2:4, type B-1 (Using 20mm graded aggregate) block of size 300x300x450mm including necesssary excavation and earth work complete all as specified and directed.

S & F Speed Breaker, rubberised, heavy duty of block size 425mm x 500mm and in 3 inch height, combination of black and yellow colour with two ends fixed with nuts and bolts with adhessive as per manufacturer's instructions by drilling holes in roads complete including taking down old damaged speed breaker of any descriptions complete all as specified and as directed.
