Note: The rate shall be including the cost of reinforcement steel. The reinforcement steel will be procured from dealers with a test certificate as approved by the department. Supplying, fabricating, erecting and fixing in position at all levels, centering and shuttering to correct line and levels including strutting, propping, etc., with necessary bracings in all axes to give a stable assembly with provision for making the joints in the shuttering fully leak proof and with provision for fixing coil nuts with tie rods along with suitable channel for lateral supports and for inserts, projecting dowels, anchor bolts or any other fixture, including staging, access and working platforms etc., all complete as specified and directed including dismantling and removing the aforesaid assembly after the concrete attains the sufficient strength to self-support itself without cracking and distortion all as per specification, including all materials and labour complete in all respects at all lifts. The measurement for the formwork will be the actual area of forms in contact with concrete surfaces. Shuttering with plywood panels alone will be permitted.
Providing, supplying, cutting, bending to shape, welding, fabricating, hoisting, placing and fixing in position structural steel members like MS structural embedment’s/pipe and sleeves/penetration etc. using MS angles, channels, I-sections, plates, tees, flats, rounds, sag rod, square sections etc. including chamfering and rounding off the edges, applying painting as described below of approved colour and make, scaffolding and staging required for fabrication as well as erection complete all as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. If any short fall found during the contract period, he will be penalised at the rate of 1.00 job / operator / day shall be deducted from the RA bills.
Maintenance of all types of pumps and rotors and keeping all the machineries in good working condition including rectifying the problems arising in those machineries, with use of lubricating oil and grease for the moving parts of the pumps, rotors and vertical drive shafts at sewage treatment plant and sewage lift station and other connected works involving operation and day to day cleaning of pumps and rotors etc. Note: 1) Contractor has to engage a minimum of 1 no. ISI certified mechanic in general shift every day throughout the year including holidays (Timing of General shift 9:00 hours - 17:30 hours). If any short fall found during the contract period, he will be penalised at the rate of 1 job / mechanic / day shall be deducted from the RA bills. 2) Lubricating oil and grease will be paid under relevant item.

Cutting plants should be handed over to nursery for sampling by the contractor as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. 8. The contractor shall supply the PPE to the garden labour and they should wear the PPE during their working hours.

I. GENERAL INFORMATION FOR GUIDANCE OF TENDERERS
The schedule of quantities is to be read for the purpose of pricing in conjunction with the special conditions, general rules for the guidance of contractors, conditions of contract, specifications, drawings, schedule of supply of materials and the appendices.
The prices inserted in the schedule of quantities shall be inclusive of value of the work described including all cost and expenses, which may be required in and for the construction of the work described together with the general risks, liabilities and obligations not forth or implied in the documents on which the tender is to be based.
The quantities stated are to be considered approximate only and the unit prices entered in the schedule of quantities and prices shall apply only to the actual quantities measured in the completed work in accordance with the specifications.
All the materials other than those shown in schedule of supply of materials in section VII are to be arranged by the contractor and his rates should account for the same.
Rates quoted for all items in this tender shall include cost of all materials including cement and steel. Department will not supply any materials other than materials stipulated in Section VII of the tender and as such the rates quoted must be all inclusive.
The contractor shall be responsible for supply of cement and procure OPC cement conforming to IS 269 (Latest edition) and use it on works. Since the supply of cement by the department has been dispensed all the clauses relevant to supply of cement by department in this tender document stands cancelled. The contractor shall purchase cement from the approved manufacturers only. Secured advances on cement up to 75% of purchase price shall be paid to the contractor after indemnifying the Government and through insurance cover. The quantity of cement on which secured advance shall be paid will be restricted to the consignment of cement tested and passed in the test in department laboratory. The secured advance on cement shall be regulated as per Clause 10B of conditions of contract. Prior approval to be obtained from the Engineer for the quantities proposed to be purchased.
Regarding supply of STEEL the contractor shall procure only TMT barsof Fe – 500D Grade conforming to IS – 1786 (Latest edition) from main producers as approved by the Ministry of Steel like M/s SAIL, M/s ISPHAT Nigam Limited, M/s VIZAG Steel & M/s TISCON with a test certificate, and use it on works after getting approval from department Engineer or tested in department laboratory. In case of non-availability from aforesaid manufacturers, reinforcing steel of other makes manufactured from ingots alone will be permitted with the prior approval of Engineer-in-charge. Sample shall be tested for all the required parameter as specified in the BIS before bulk purchase.
Contractor shall make his own arrangements for construction water supply to carryout this work.
Compensation for escalation in the prices of materials and labour when due is permissible as per provisions in Clause 10CC of conditions of contract.

II. CONDITIONS FOR CEMENT :
The contractor shall procure OPC cement conforming to IS 269 (Latest edition), as required in the work, from reputed manufacturers of cement, such as M/s. Ultratech Cements, M/s. Zuari Cements, M/s. Coromandel, M/s. Penna, M/s. Priya Cements, M/s. Chettinadu Cement,M/s. Dalmia cementsand holding license to use ISI certification mark for their product whose name shall be got approved from Engineer-in-charge. Supply of cement shall be taken in 50 Kg. bags bearing manufacturer’s name and ISI marking, samples of cement arranged by the contractor shall be taken by the Engineer-in-charge and got tested in accordance with provisions of relevant BIS codes. In case test results indicate that the cement arranged by contractor does not conform to the relevant BIS codes, the same shall stand rejected and shall be removed from the site by the contractor at his own cost within a week’s time of written order from the Engineer-in-charge to do so.
The cement shall be brought at site in bulk supply of approximately 50 tonnes or as decided by the Engineer-in-charge.
The cement Godown of having a capacity to store minimum of 2000 bags of cement shall be constructed by the contractor at site of work for which no extra payment shall be made from department. Double lock provision shall be made to the door of the cement godown. The keys of one lock shall remain with the Engineer in charge or his authorised representative and the key of the other lock shall remain with the contractor. The contractor shall be responsible for the watch and ward the safety of the cement godown. The contractor shall facilitate the inspection of the cement godown by the Engineer-in-charge at any time.
The contractor shall supply free of charge the cement required for testing. The cost of tests shall be borne by the contractor.
The actual issue and consumption of cement on work shall be regulated and proper accounts maintained as provided in Clause 10 of the contract. The theoretical consumption of cement shall be worked out as per procedure prescribed in Clause 42 of the contract and shall be governed by conditions laid therein.
Cement brought to site and cement remaining unused after completion of work shall not be removed from site without written permission of the Engineer-in-charge.
III. CONDITIONS FOR STEEL:
The contractor shall procure steel reinforcement bars conforming to relevant BIS codes from main producers such as M/s SAIL, M/s RINL, M/s. TATA Iron & Steel Co., M/s. IISCO and M/s. JSW Neo Steel with a test certificate, and use it on works after getting approval from department Engineer or tested in department laboratory. In case of non-availability from aforesaid manufacturers, reinforcing steel of other makes manufactured from ingots alone will be permitted with the prior approval of Engineer-in-charge. Sample shall be tested for all the required parameter as specified in the BIS before bulk purchase. The contractor shall have to obtain and furnish test certificates to the Engineer-in-charge in respect of all supplies of steel brought by him to the site of work. Samples shall also be taken and got tested by the Engineer-in-charge as per the provisions in this regard in relevant BIS codes. In case the test results indicate that the steel arranged by the contractor does not conform to BIS codes, the same shall stand rejected and shall be removed from the site of work by the contractor at his cost within a week’s time from written orders from the Engineer-in-charge to do so.
The steel reinforcement shall be brought to the site in bulk supply of 10 tonnes or more or as decided by the Engineer-in-charge.
The steel reinforcement shall be stored by the contractor at site of work in such a way as to prevent distortion and corrosion and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. Bars of different sizes and lengths shall be stored separately to facilitate easy counting and checking.
For checking nominal mass, tensile strength, bend test, re-bend test, etc. specimen of sufficient length shall be cut from each size of the bar at random at frequency not less than that specified below:

Over 16 mm dia.
The contractor shall supply free of charge the steel required for testing. The cost of tests shall be borne by the contractor.
In case the Reinforcement steel is issued by the Department, the actual issue and consumption of steel on work shall be regulated and proper accounts maintained as provided in Clause 10 of the contract. The theoretical consumption of steel shall be worked out as per procedure prescribed in Clause 42 of the contract and shall be governed by conditions laid therein. For the purpose of payment, weight will be calculated on the basis of bar bending schedule and weights of bar given as under. Wherever actual lengths placed differ from bar bending schedule actual length will only be measured.
