Repairing of unserviceable light point, Fan point, socket point 5A/15A, switches, sockets or regulator, light fixtures any type, any type MCBs, DB's & all electrical accessories in day to day/door to door maintenance and making it serviceable in all respect with all replacement of any major part but including small length of wires upto 2.5 sqmm single core (not more than 50 cm), adhesive tape and other connected accessories like screws & washers etc. Work shall also include to check & removal of breakages in service connection /sub main of houses as and when directed. The scope of work shall also include cutting of existing Bakelite sheet to accommodate new wiring accessories like switches, sockets, fan regulators etc complete all as specified and as directed. (Note: Any major items required to be replaced for this job will be measured and paid under Relevant items.

(a) Contractors representative/engineer will report to JE E/M/Engr-in-charge daily at forenoon and afternoon to collect routine/urgent works related to internal electric supply till completion of contract. The contractor will ensure availability of manpower equipped with all sort of petty items such as insulation tape, galvanised screws, nuts, bolts, washers etc required to accomplish the job including every type of requisite T&P items to his trades man. All routine/urgent jobs received on job slip will be repaired & got signature of user's and will be deposited to JE E/M with in 24hrs. In case of any delay in attending the complaint more than 8 hrs after handing over of routine and 2 hrs for urgent works, the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty as described in penalty clause given here as under.

(b) The penalty shall be applicable to the contractor if the delay is noticed by the EIC more than twelve hrs after handing over works of urgent nature to the contractor. The Engr-in-Charge/ JE E/M shall handover the slip containing specification of work to the contractor. The contractor shall attend the job immediately and report to Engr-in-Charge within 12hrs. The contractor will keep his tradesmen in stand by for attending any routine/urgent works from the executive. If the nature of job is such that the work cannot be completed within period of 12hrs then the facts shall be brought to the notice of the GE/Engr-in-charge and the period for the working to the complaint shall be decided by the GE/EIC. If the delay is more then twelve hrs period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs 20 per job shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor. Please note that this penalty is exclusively other then the condition 56 of IAFW –2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall enforceable as and delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Deptt. The decision of the Accepting Officer is this regard shall be final and binding.

(c) One Complaints slip to be treated as One Complaint irrespective of No. of Repairs mentioned in the same.

(d) Contractor to keep his Electrician ready for Urgent Complaints, During odd hours ( 0600 Hrs to 0900 Hrs and 1700 Hrs to 2200 Hrs ) Other than the Regular complaints during working Hrs ( 0900 Hrs to 1700 Hrs )

(e) Procurement of Security gate passes of the Electrician will be sole responsibility of the Contractor

(f) If the work is repeated due to poor workmanship, he will be liable to repair the same without any extra expenditure to the govt.

The contractor will also ensure as availability of every type of requisite T&P items to his trades man. All routine/urgent jobs received on job slip will be repaired & got signature of user's and will be deposited to JE E/M with in 24 hrs. In case of any delay in attending the complaint more than 8 hrs after handing over of routine and 2 hrs for urgent works, the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty.

(b) The penalty shall be applicable to the contractor if the delay is noticed by Engr-in-Charge more than 12 hrs after handing over works of urgent nature to the contractor. The Engr-in-Charge/JE E/M shall handover the slip containing specifications of work to the contractor by lodging the time and signature of contractor be obtained on slip. The contractor shall attend the job immediately and shall report to Engr-in-Charge within 12 hrs. The contractor will keep his tradesman in stand by for attending any routine/Urgent works from the executive If the nature of job is such that the workcannot be completed within period of 12hrs then the facts shall be brought to the notice of the GE/Engr-in-Charge and the period for the working to the complaint shall be decided by the EE/EIC. If the delay is more then twelve hrs period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs. 20 per job shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor. Please note that this penalty ois exclusively other then the condition 56 of IAFW-2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall enforceable as and delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the deptt. the decision of the Accepting Officer is this regard shall be final and binding.

(c) One loged Complaints slip, is to be treated as One Complaint in irrespective of No. of Repairs mentioned in the same. (d) Contractor to keep his Electrician ready for Urgent Complaints, During odd hours (0600 Hrs to 0900 Hrs and 1700 Hrs to 2200 Hrs) Other than the Regular complaints during working Hrs (0900 Hrs to 1700 Hrs) (e) Procurement of Security gate passes of the Electrician, will be sole responsibility of the Contractor as per CA provision.

NOTE - (i) Replacement of unserviceable parts shall be measured and paid for separately under respective items as Supply Only. (ii) On testing after completion of repair, if the proper functioning without leak, not obtained at Engr-in-Charge satisfoactory level, the reapiring will be re-done by the contractor at his own costs and the cost for the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates. (iii) The contractor shall maintain/open a Workshop and keep his electrician ready during working Hrs (0900 Hrs to 1700 Hrs) for geyser repair, inside MES store Yard so that all the repairing/Descaling/changing parts of geysers will be done in proper manner, MES authorities will not be issued any Geysers/winter appliances, any type, for repaire puropse to the contractor for his outside workshop.
