Civil Work:-
Cutting in earth work in all kinds of soil such as pick work, jumper work, blasting work and chiselling work etc. and disposal of excavated earth as directed within all leads and lifts.
Excavation in foundations, trenches etc. in earth work,lift uoto 1.50 metres stacking the excavated soil not more than 3 metres clear from the edge of the excavation and then returning the stacked soil in 15cm. Layers, when required in to plinths sides of foundations etc., consolidating each deposited layer by ramming and watering and then disposing of all surplus excavated earth as directed with in lead of 20 metres.
Excavation in drains and channels etc. in earth work for pipes upto all depth in all classification of earth work such as pick work, jumper work, saturated soil including balling or pumping out water, blasting soft/hard rock or chiselling soft/hard rock where blasting is prohibited in all lifts including jungle clearance wherever required, trimming and dressing of sides, levelling of beds to correct grade including shoring/ struting, planking, timbering and dewatering wherever required stacking the useable/unusable material/soil separately and after laying and joining and testing of pipes, returning the useable soil in trenches in 15cm. layer including consolidating of such deposited layer by ramming and watering and then disposing of all surplus excavated soil/ unusable material as directed within all leads and lifts including restoration of un-metalled surfaces to its original condition and including cost of diversion for traffic, night signals, fixing caution boards, crossing over trenches for acess to houses, fencing etc. complete in all respect within all leads and lifts as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and fixing steel glazed doors, windows and ventilators of standard rolled steel sections joints mitred and welded with 16x3.15mm lugs 10cm. The pipe ends shall be levelled suitable for butt welding, including the cost of jointing with butt welding confirming to IS 816-1969 or latest applicable and with uptodate ammendments (leak proof) in three layers at site of work with welded rods of Advani/oeriliken make/ISI marked (welded rods 3mm to 4mm) and all allied accessories whatever required for welding at site, tail pieces,tee bends & other special manufactured from parent pipes as applicable to the particular reach and of approved specification as per site conditions. and cutting of pipes wherever required as per site requirement including carriage in all leads & lifts and as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge. The pipes shall be capable of with standing minimum 1.5 times the total pressure as indicated in item No.1(a) or total dynamic pressure+ surge pressure whichever is more. The size of suction pipe shall be one or two sizes larger than the suction size of pump such that velocity of flow in suction pipe is not more than 2.50 mtrs./sec. & delivery pipe shall be of size one size larger than nominal delivery size of pump i/c cost of carriage of material in all leads and lifts and as per directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
NOTE:- Actual laying to be done as per final drawings to be approved by the Engineer-in-charge.
Supply of antivibration .pads conforming to BIS 6337-1971 or latest with upto date ammendments of suitable size for above machinery.
Errection/commissioning and testing of all equipments from item No.34 to 48 i/c cost of tees,bends tapers & any other fittings required as per site conditions, including all leads and lifts and as per entire satisfaction of Engineer - in - charge.

Supply, erection, testing & commissioning of horizontal spindle,horizontal split casing,radial split Single, /Multistages centrifugal pumps or combination of pumps, in series/parallel of recommended make such as Mather and Platt/ KSB/Becon weir/Kirloskar/BE/Jyoti or any other make approved from JSV Department as per BIS 1520-1980 with upto date ammendments read with BIS 9137-1978 or latest edition to suitable for lifting clear water for under mentioned characteristics with bronze impellers/ priming funnels casing ring and shaft sleaves or bronze. shaft of steel grade-with cast iron casing coupled directly through a flexible coupling on a common C.I./Cast steel base plate (base plate to be from the manufacturers of the pumping unit only) to slip ring/squirrel cage screen protected drip proof induction motor existing of standard make such as Kirloskar/Crompton/ Bhel/NGEF/ GEC/ Siemen/ Jyoti/ABB or any other make approved from IPH Deptt.suitable for operation on 415(+) /-5% volts, 50 cycles/ second, 3 phase AC electric supply. The power of electric motor should be atleast 10% in excess of the maximum power required by the pump in the operation range of (+) 10% and (-)25% of the duty point head. The motor should be as per IS:325-1978 with upto date ammendments read with IS:900-1972. It should include cost of bearing nuts, bolts and pointing etc. and should meet the following requirements:-

The type, size and make will be subject to approval of HPSEB authorities.
