82694 REPAIRS TO CERTAIN ROADS AND RENEWAL REPLACEMENT OF ROAD FURNITURE OF CHENNAI ZONE B AREA UNDER GE (NAVY) CHENNAI

SCHEDULE 'A'

Repairs to pot holes any depth, not exceeding 1.5 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting arround edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including of road metal) by applying tack coat with bituminous primer at 5kg per 10 sqm, putting in premix as specified for thin bituminous carpet (2 cm thick) well rammed and sealed with premixed sand seal coat 9.8 kg of binder with 0.09 cu m of sand stone chippings, 6.3 mm size, again well rammed (including supply of premix binder and sand) depth of potholes n exc 30 mm complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

aterial and Labour for Preparing of existing black top surfaces of road by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt and appying evenly a priming / tack coat with bitumen primer using paving bitumen (VG 30) at 5 kg per 10 Sqm etc.,complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L Bituminous premix semi-dense asphaltic concrete (SDAC) 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% paving bitumen ( VG-30) or 60/70 as binder content by weight of filler materials mixed to SDAC, using hot mix plant and mechanical paver as approved by the GE, rolled and compacted using 8 to 10 Ton vibrator power roller to required camber and gradient complete. Note :- (i) Job mix formula for the semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be obtained from the institutes specified in the particular specifications. (ii) In case, as per actual design mix, the binder content by weight of total mix is less than 5.5%, price adjustment shall be made as per average rate of all the purchase vouchers for bitumen pertaining to the work under this contract. If total binder conten as per design mix is more than 5.5%, no price adjustment shall be made for the same. complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows, speed breakers marking etc. and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction using fully automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe,glass bead dispenser,propane tank heater and profile shoe heater driven by experienced operator on road including all materials,labours,T&P and cleaning the road surfaces of dirt,seals,oils,grease and foreign materials etc including preparing the existing black top surface by brushing with wire brush for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt and existing loose road mark paint etc complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm with PAMA striplens reflector of model No. DA 972.0 fixed with and incl MS stud of suitable size as per manufactures instructions complete as per direction.

Manufacturing, supplying and fixing retroreflective Mandatory/ Regulatory sign boards of 900 mm diametre with support length of 3750 mm and made up of 2 mm thick aluminium sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity encapsulated type heat activated retro reflective sheeting conforming to type - IV of ASTM-D 4956-01 in blue and silver white or other colour combination including subject matter, message (bi-lingual), symbols and borders etc. as per IRC ; 67:2001, pasted on substrate by an adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying heat and pressure conforming to class -2 of ASTM-D-4956-01 and fixing the same with suitable sized aluminium alloy rivets @ 20 cm c/c to back support frame of M.S. angle iron of size 25x25x3 mm along with theft resistant measures, mounted and fixed with 2 Nos. M.S. angles of size 35x35x5mm to a vertical post made up to M.S. Tee section ISMT 50x50x6 mm welded with base plate of size 100x100x5 mm at the bottom end and including making holes in pipes, angles flats, providing & fixing M.S. message plate of required size, steel work to be painted with two or more coats of synthetic enamel paint of required shade and of approved brand & manufacture over priming coat of zinc chromate yellow primer (vertical MS-Tee support to be painted in black and white colours).Backside of aluminium sheet to be painted with two or more coats of epoxy paint over and including appropriate priming coat including all leads and lifts etc. complete as per direction.

Schedule of credit amount brought back from Ser Page No.32 - Rs.10.330.00 will be deducted from the above quoted amount to derive the contract sum. SIGNATURE OF CONTRACTOR
