   As per RDSO letter no. CT/PTX/TWS/Design dated 13.03.2026 regarding exemption from approval of prototype: 1.The requirement of prototype approval for all the new drawings of Thick Web Switches is withdrawn. All the approved/developmental vendors of Thick Web Swithces should be considered approved/ developmental vendors for supply of swithces of all the new drawings whether their prototype is approved or not. 2.All the approved/developmental vendors of Thick Web Switches will be eligible for supply of switches of all the new drawings issued by RDSO.

   The participation of authorized dealers/traders will not be entertained. Bids received from OEM authorized dealers/traders on behalf of eligible RDSO approved sources will be summarily rejected.

Commercial-Compliance

   Please enter the percentage of local content in the material being offered. Please enter 0 for fully imported items, and 100 for fully indigenous items. The definition and calculation of local content shall be in accordance with the Make in India policy as incorporated in the tender conditions.

   In accordance with Para 5.8 (a) of section - I of NWR Standard Bidding document (SBD) Version - January- 2026," Bidder shall, at the time of bidding be required to indicate percentage of local content and provide self-certification that the item offered meets the local content requirement for "Class-I local supplier"/ "Class-II local supplier.

   In accordance with Para 5.8 (b) & (c) of section - I of NWR Standard Bidding document (SBD) Version - January- 2026, since the value of procurement is in excess of Rs. 10 crores, the contractor shall be required to provide a certificate from the statutory auditor or cost auditor of the company (in the case of companies) or from a practicing cost accountant or practicing chartered accountant (in respect of suppliers other than companies) giving the percentage of local content. The certificate should have valid UDIN mentioned in certificate. Such certificates shall be required to be submitted by the contractor along with their each online bill in IREPS. The supplier must include 'PO number & PO date', name of item, name of firm, local content percentage, and details of the location(s) at which the local value addition is made, in the certificate. In Case the contractor / Supplier does not meet the stipulated local content requirement and the category of the supplier changes from Class-I to Class-II / Non-local or from Class-II to Non-local, a penalty in the form of deduction of 10% of the contract value shall be imposed. However, contract once awarded shall not be terminated on this account.

   The bidders are advised to go through the document appended with this NIT with the name "Prototype Inspection of TWS" which details out recent modifications done by RDSO in the approval of QAP and prototype of the tendered item.

   The Standard Technical requirement for Thick Web Switches STR TDG 0038 shall be referred at" Schedule of Tech Requirements" document appended with this tender.

   The Specification IRS T 62 2025 for Thick Web Switches Specification shall be referred at" S No T 62 2025 " document appended with this tender.

   The Specification IRS T-10-2025 for Thick Web Switches Specification shall be referred at" S No T 10 2025 " document appended with this tender.

   1.Clarifications, if any, regarding specifications etc. may be obtained from Office of PCMM/HQ/NWR 2.A copy of relevant specifications and drawings can be obtained on payment by the tenderers from the D irecto r General (Track), RDSO, Manak Nagar, Lucknow.    The contractor shall be GST compliant and claim the applicable GST in their bills, which will be paid by the Railways.
