Maintenance of lawns and other miscellaneous works in AERB SRRC Office and MRPU office building at Plot-A, DAE Nodal centre, Chennai during the year 2024-25.

All kinds of soil with depth upto 1.5m below average Ground level and disposing surplus excavated earth upto a lead of 50 metres.

Collection, supplying and stacking good quality Red earth without stones, gravel etc., and stacking for premeasurement at places as shown by Engineer for taking pre measurements including spreading the same at places shown with a lead upto 100metres and filling in pits etc., complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing, laying, jointing and fixing medium Class GI screwed pipes bearing with ISI mark conforming to IS:1239, TATA or approved equivalent make of following sizes with specials including cutting to the required length, threading and jointing with white lead joining compound etc., complete for water supply lines, suction and delivery lines of pumps, laying of pipes in the excavated trenches, fixing of pipes masonry walls or RCC columns with wooden plugs and clamps and chasing the walls including cost of all the specials (Such as coupling, nipple, tee, bend, elbow, reducer, union etc.) and testing the line, painting the pipe lines with two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved colour and make over a coat of primer etc. complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: Earthwork excavation and making flanged joints will be paid separately under relevant items.

Maintenance of lawns, flower beds, hedges, trees etc., in garden area by watering at regular intervals, cutting and trimming hedges, and the unwanted growth of grasses as and when required including running lawn mover, removing weeds, collecting the cut grass, fallen leaves of trees and disposing the same at dumping yards shown by the department, watering the trees inside the garden area complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: 1. The rate shall include the cost of hire charges of lorry and labour for transporting of cut grass, leaves etc., to the dumping yard. 2. The rate shall also include cost of all tools, plants, water delivery hose required for gardening etc. 3. The rate quoted shall be per Sq.m. area maintained per month. 4. Contractor has to make his own arrangement for Lawn Movers. If departmental lawn movers is available it will be provided by department on chargeable basis. 5. If lawn mover is not used, then recovery at the rate of 20 Paise / Sq.m. will be levied as penalty from RA Bill.

Supply and spreading of Fertilizer (urea), neem cake including cost of fertilizer and neem cake etc., all as per specification for Orchard plants / trees at the rate of 0.01kg/Sqm for fertilizer and 0.005kg/Sqm of neem cake, all as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Collection, supply and spraying of pesticides / fungicides / growth regulators in the lawn area and hedges by sprayer etc., including cost of collection, supply and spraying of pesticides / fungicides /growth regulators etc., all as per specification.

Collection, supplying and stacking of Decomposed dry farmyard manure without undesirable materials, stacking the same to at places as shown by Engineer for taking pre measurements including spreading the same at places shown with a lead upto 100metres and filling in pits etc., complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Sweeping and cleaning the paverblock/concrete surfaces one time in a week around the office / pathway area in DAE Nodal centre complex including collecting and disposing the swept materials etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. 1. The rate should also include the hire charges for sweeping tools etc. 2. The Contractor shall engage minimum 1 number of labour weekly as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Failure to employ the above minimum weekly attendance of labour will attract the penal clause as per additional special condition of contract attached with the tender for every default of labour.

Sweeping and cleaning the road surfaces, water table and road junction inside DAE Nodal centre building area four one times in a week and when and wherever required including collecting and stacking swept materials for disposal all as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and spreading of Vermicompost including cost etc. all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and fixing Unplastisized PVC (UPVC) pipes in trenches/open pipeline work having thermal stability for hot & cold water supply (as ASTM Standard 2846 & SDR - 11 Grade) including all UPVC Plain & Brass threaded fittings, fixing the pipe with clamps at 1.00 m spacing / under ground. This includes jointing of pipes & fittings with UPVC Solvent cement & testing the joints complete all as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. - 50mm outer dia UPVC pipe

Rectifying the UPVC pipe line burst of the following dia of water line by removing the damaged portion of UPVC pipes, replacing with new pipes and restoring the water supply including cutting the damaged pipes, cleaning / scrubbing the surface, fixing the new pipe with necessary solvent cement of approved make etc. all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. (Note : Cost of UPVC pipe and specials will be paid separately under relevant item.) - 50mm outer dia UPVC pipe burst

Cleaning the storm water drain once in 3 months and when and wherever required including collection of all unwanted leaves, small plants, silt and other unwanted debris materials upto 2000m lead etc. complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge 1.0 below 450mm wide with cover slab.

Supplying of water by tractor with tanker of capacity ranges 5000 to 6000 litres for landscaping activities inside DAE Nodal centre at Pallavaram. The water will be drawn from the source point and the delivery point will be as per the locations shown by the Engineer-in-charge. The supply shall be made available to lawns/gardens/hedges by daily / alternatives as per the direction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Area cleaning in and around the site including transporting the wild growth, all unwanted branches, twigs, leaves, unwanted waste materials, garbage’s etc. in contractors own arranged lorries to conveying to cantonment board dumping yard at about 3km lead upto 4km lead etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. The rate shall including the cost of hire charges for lorry and labour for loading, unloading, transporting of cut wild grass to dumping yard and disposal. The area cleaning will be every month once.

Levelling, bull-dozing the heepled/dumped loosened earth/debris etc. by hiring JCB/Bull-dozer etc. including labour if any required as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Cutting and trimming down the branches, secondary stems, trunk, roots etc. of the ‘Banyan Tree / Rain tree / jungle assorted tree’ including required labour, tools, hand saw, arc and mechanical transport of all the cut branches to dumping yard with in lead of 5 km including the lorry / tipper at the, labours for loading and unloading the branches of tree, leaves etc., as and all as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. - Girth of tree branch 80mm to 160mm and length of tree branch 3m

Supply and Planting of plants/saplings of good quality & health appearance with blooming nature etc., including excavation, transportation, planting, and initial watering all as per standard practice and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
