REPAIR REPLACEMENT OF OLD EARTHING SYSTEM TO IMPROVE EARTH RESISTANCE UNDER GE (W) MATHURA

Taking out old unserviceable earthing pit of any type soil in any depth complete with connected accessories including necessary excavation, dismantling, breaking PCC chamber, removing old earth electrode, strip/wire of any type/size and returning refilling of excavated soil at working site complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate 600 mm x 600 mm x6.3 mm thick elecrode and 4 mm dia galvanised iron wire as earthing lead burried directly in ground vertically (earth pit not less than 2.25mtr deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5mtr below normal ground level, the earth plate surrounded by adequate quantity of charcoal dust of minmum qty - 40 Kg and common salt of minmum qty - 40 Kg to a packed thickness of 15 cm on all sides of electrode as specified and connected to GI wire of dia 4 mm as earth lead by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers (including welding) of galvanised iron or steel and connected to main switch board / panel/ test point at the other including necessary earth work in any type of soil, Cont/-

Cont/-- returning filling in and removal of surplus soil, concrete pit in PCC (1:3:6) type C1, precast RCC 1:2:4 type B1 cover slab 54cm x 54cm x 5cm reinforced with 8mm dia bar TMT @150mm centre to centre both ways with one handle for lifting made out 8mm dia MS bar with wire mesh funnel, 20mm GI tubing medium grade for watering and 20mm GI tubing medium grade for protection, test point, testing on completion all as shown in Electrical Plate No 3 of SSR Part-I complete all as specified and directed.

Cont/- washers (including welding) of galvanised iron or steel and connected to main switch board / LT panel/ test point/equipment at the other including necessary excavation of earth work in any type of soil, returning filling in and removal of surplus soil, concrete pit in PCC (1:3:6) type C1, pre cast RCC 1:2:4 type B1 cover slab 54 cm x 54 cm x 5 cm reinforced with 8mm dia bar TMT @150mm centre to centre both ways with one handle for lifting made out 8mm dia MS bar with wire mesh funnel, 20 mm bore GI tubing medium grade for watering and 40 mm GI tubing medium grade for protection, test point, testing on completion all as shown in Electrical Plate No 3 of SSR Part-I complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for earthing complete with pure copper earth plate 600 mm x 600 mm x 3.15 mm thick elecrode and 25 mm x 4 mm pure copper strip as earthing lead burried directly in ground vertically (earth pit not less than 2.25mtr deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5mtr below normal ground level, the earth plate surrounded by adequate quantity of charcoal dust of minmum qty - 40 Kg and common salt of minmum qty - 40 Kg to a packed thickness of 15 cm on all sides of electrode as specified and connected to copper strip 25 mm x 4 mm as earth lead by means of tinned copper/ brass bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers (including brazing) and connected to main Cont/-

Cont/- switch board / LT panel/ test point/sensitive equipment at the other including necessary excavation of earth work in any type of soil, returning filling in and removal of surplus soil, concrete pit in PCC (1:3:6) type C1, pre cast RCC 1:2:4 type B1 cover slab 54 cm x 54 cm x 5 cm reinforced with 8mm dia bar TMT @150mm centre to centre both ways with one handle for lifting made out 8mm dia MS bar with wire mesh funnel, 20 mm bore GI tubing medium grade for watering and 40 mm GI tubing medium grade for protection, test point, testing on completion all as shown in Electrical Plate No 3 of SSR Part-I complete all as specified and directed.

Note : (i) If the desired resistance as specified is not achieved after the execution, the renewal of whole process will have to be done without any extra cost to the department. (ii) For Item Sl no 2, 3 & 4 : GI wire/GI Strip/Copper strip up to 7.5 metre is included in unit rate and beyond that the same will be measured and paid separately.

M&L for dismantling tilted/broken PCC earth pit chamber and making new PCC earth pit chamber of size as per electrical plate No. 3 of SSR-2009 Part-I with PCC (1:2:4) type B1 with pre cast RCC 1:2:4 type BI cover slab 54cm x 54cm x 5cm reinforced with 8mm dia bar TMT @150mm centre to centre both ways with one handle for lifting made out 8mm dia MS bar with wire mesh funnel including excavation and earth work as required at site complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing of GI funnel with wire mesh of existing size in earting pit chamber complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing GI tubing 40 mm bore (medium grade) in trenches/ floor/ roof/ wall with proper size of clamp, nuts and bolts for earth strip protection/ lightning conductors/ arrestor complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing GI tubing 20 mm bore (medium grade) in trenches/ floor/ roof/ wall with proper size of clamp, nuts and bolts for earth strip protection/ lightning conductors/ arrestor complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for recharging of earthing pits by filling of charcoal in earthing pits complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note:- (i) Recharging shall be carried out at site on requirement basis as per direction of Engr-in-Charge. (ii) Excavation work required at site will be measured and paid separately. (iii) Measurement of earth resistance will be mandatory before & after execution of work in presence of MES rep and test report will have to be produced before renewal. (iv) If the desired resistance as specified is not achieved after the execution, the renewal of whole process will have to be done without any extra cost to the department.

M&L for recharging of earthing pits by filling of common salt in earthing pits complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note:- (i)Recharging materials shall be soluble in water and to be filled/ poured in earth pit after mixing in water in appropriate quantity. (ii) Recharging shall be carried out at site on requirement basis as per direction of Engr-in-Charge. (iii) Excavation work required at site will be measured and paid separately. (iv) Measurement of earth resistance will be mandatory before & after execution of work in presence of MES rep and test report will have to be produced before renewal. (v) If the desired resistance as specified is not achieved after the execution, the renewal of whole process will have to be done without any extra cost to the department.

Supply and fixing in replacement of GI strip with galvanised iron strip 32mm x 6mm with fixing screws for conductors/earth lead including welding and nut bolts jointing at all joints for building/ equipment laid through pipe/ trench/ surface or recessed or burried in ground complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing in replacement of GI strip with copper strip 25 mm x 4 mm with fixing screws for conductors/ earth lead including brazing and tinned copper nut bolts jointing at all joints for building/ equipment laid through pipe/ trench/ surface or recessed or burried in ground complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing in replacement of GI Wire with 4 mm dia GI or steel wire for earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall or recessed or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe all as required at site all as specified and directed.

Taking out of old air termination rod of any type and any size from building/hanger/RCC OH tank of any height including dismantling and removing (except serviceable strips for re-fixing) materials from work site complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing air termination single pointed, aluminium rod 15 mm dia and 300 mm long fixed on galvanised iron pipes with copper/ aluminium/ GI strip for earth conductivity to ground complete all as specified and directed. Note: Pipe/ PCC work shall be measured and paid seperately.

Supply and fixing air termination single pointed, copper rod 15 mm dia,300 mm long alongwith copper air base terminal to support air rods on flat roof surfaces and to accommodate conductor on galvanised iron pipes with copper/ GI strip and make positive continuity to earthing conductor to ground complete all as specified and directed. (Note: Pipe /PCC work shall be measured and paid seperately).

Excavation work required for recharging of earthing pit in vertical not exceeding 3.0 mtr deep and not exceeding 1.5 mtr wide in soft/loose soil and getting out of same for filling earthing materials (Charcoal/salt) complete all as specified and directed.

Returning filling of excavated soil after pouring the charcoal, salt including watering with well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick in loose/soft soil complete all as specified and directed.

Removal of surplus soil/excavated material to a distance not exceeding 50 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above from the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for plain cement concrete in foundation 1:3:6, type C-2 using 40 mm graded stone aggregate to support the pipe for lighning arrester or as required at site including breaking of existing complete all as specified and directed.

Supply & fixing in replacement of worn out PVC flexible conduit with double wall corrugated ( DWC) FRPP flexible conduit of outer dia 50 mm in accordance with IS 16205 (Part 24) : 2018 /IS 14930 (Part 2) : 2001, having characteristics of high hardness, heavy pressure resistance, wear resistance and no deformation, high mechanical strength, slightly flexibility and excellent electrical insulation and mechanical electrical protection complete all as specified and directed.

Supply & fixing in replacement of aluminium conductor(reinforced) wire with single core HRFR PVC insulated unsheathed copper conductor flexible cable/wire of 70.0 Sqmm, 1100 Volt grade conforming to IS 694/2010 drawn in short length through flexible non metallic conduit including making connections to earthing strip/equipment by providing copper lugs complete in all respect as specified and directed.

Cutting & Chasing required on concrete block/path tile /floor etc not exceeding 20 cm girth to conceal the GI Pipe/GI Strip/ copper strip/ GI wire and making good to disturbed surface with cement mortar 1:3 including facing / finishing where as required to match with existing surfaces complete all as specified and directed.
