REPAIR MAINT OF MAIN RUNWAYS AND CERTAIN AIR CRAFT MOVEMENT AREAS WITH PME AT AIR FORCE STATION KALAIKUNDA

M&L Applying PME(Polymer Modified Emulsion) for flexible Runway pavement from Authorised Manufacturer for Medium Consumption @ 0.91 to 1.50 ltr per Square Metre in two coats ( 1st Coat applied with 60% to 70% and 2nd Coat repeated for application with 30% to 40%. After each coat surface to be left clear for 4 Hrs to 6 Hrs ).The mechanical spraying machine must be used for uniform application by skilled, qualified and authorised applicator to maintain quality performance of finished surfaces.PME must have penetration values of 10mm-20mm and initial setting time of 4 Hrs to 5 Hrs but not more than 8 Hrs Post application. NOTES:- STORAGE & HANDLING: PME storage and Handling Temperature shall between to 10 degree C to 50 degree C and should be protected from Freezing. water to be used should be potable and free from salts and any chemicals. CLEANING: Surface shall be dry, clean, durable and free from dust and dirt . Clean surface of runway with wire/coir brush where the application is to be applied. The dust, Mud or loose aggreagate to be removed. PREPARATION OF PME: Arrangement of Mobile storage tank of running over Runway with mechanical mixing arrangement with water and equal quantity for uniform spray is to be considered all as directed by Engr in Charge. APPLICATION: The work should be carried out with using mechanical spraying machine by skilled qualified and authorised applicator. Certificate to be submitted and prior approval must be obtained from GE. WARRANTY: TWO YEARS WARRANTY of materials performance and applicator performance to be obtained from the authorised manufacturer of PME.

M&L for preparing surfaces and applying two coats of road marking paint (water based) including primer exc 10 cm wide on pavement surfaces as in centre line marking, edge marking, threshold marking, touch down marking and all other marking complete all as specified for runway aprons, taxiways etc.
