Up-Gradation of Kanhal to Bazathal road km. 0/00 to 9/00

Excavation in soil in hilly area in all heights and depths in all kinds of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil , ordinary rock and hard rock .All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion ,damages to hill side ,water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side .Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out of rock (where blasting is prohibited) .All earth work in cutting /excavation including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines ,grades ,sides slopes, width, camber, super-elevation and level as shown on the drawing and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge in conformity with the requirement of MoRD technical specification for Rural Road, Section. 300 & 1600 to achive designed formation width including hauling and stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable sites safe manner and disposal of all surplus material to the approved dumping sites through all modes of transportation including head load and animal transport and mechanical means along with its leveling, fine dressing and carriage of machineries, tools, equipments and safety measures and other incidentals necessary to complete the work by mechanical means and labour if required. The land for dumping sites shall be arranged by the contractors himself and nothing extra shall be paid on this account, filling of unevenness blind age and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge for smooth riding .The recovery for stones ,whether useful or not for 89.06 cum (one hundred Seven point sixty nine) cubic metre at the rate of Rs 300/-only (Rupees three hundred only ) per cubic meter shall be effected on prorata basis in all circumstances .Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor ,which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.

Providing and laying 100mm (one Hundred millimetre) dia PVC pipe weep holes in brick masonry/stone masonry, plain reinforced concrete, Abutments, Wing walls, Return walls and retaining/breast walls extended through the full width of the structure with slope I(V):20(H)(One vertical : Twenty Horizontal) towards draining face complete as per drawing and MORD technical specification section 700 and 1200 and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts and other incidentals. Providing and laying of boulder apron laid in wire crates with 4 mm (four millimetre) dia GI wire conforming to IS:280 and IS:4826 in 100 mm x 100 mm (one hundred millimetre into one hundred millimetre) mesh (woven diagonally) including 10 % (ten percent) extra for laps and joints laid with stone boulders weighing not less than 40 kg (forty kilogram) each as per drawing and MORD technical specifications section 1300 including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts and other incidental . Loosening of the ground upto a level of 300 mm below the subgrade level, watered, graded and compacted in layers to meet requirement of Tables 300.1 and 300.2 for subgrade construction as per Technical Specifications including carriage of material within all leads, lifts and other incidentals. Construction of 2nd layer Bio enzyme based soil stablised layer to a required thickness as per manufacturer design with local soil material/gravel/murram, having CBR greater than Equal to 6% and treating it with TerraZyme in the ratio 1L for 15.0 cum soil with 25% 40mm crusher broken metal (of compacted thickness) in desing mix, spreading in uniform layer with motor grader on prepared surface. mixing by mix in place method with rotavator at OMC and compacting with smooth wheel roller to achieve the desired density complete as per technical specification incl all labour, materials, like soil and metal, equipments etc., complete, including Supervision (Supervisor shall be provided by TerraZyme Vendor) as per the directions of the Engineer incharge of the work. TerraZyme Supervisor accommodation, food and local transport will be in scope of Contractor. The soil will have clay % by hydrometry between 8% to 30%

Applying of curing material TerraCure after the application of TerraZyme layer for by mixing TerraCure with water in the ratio of 1:200 and then appyling the mixed solution @ 3 Litres for 1 sq.mt. Wet Mix Macadam Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate to wet mix macadam specification including premixing the material with water at OMC in mechanical mixer (Pug Mill), carriage of mixed material by tipper to site, laying in uniform layers in sub-base/base course on a well prepared sub-base and compacting with smooth wheel roller of 80 to 100kN weight to achieve the desired density including lighting, barricading and maintenance of diversion, etc as per Tables 400 11 & 400 12 and Technical Specification Clause 406. Providing and applying primer coat on the prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface with Hydraulic brooms and spraying primer @ 0.85 Kg.
