M & L for laying and compacting 150mm thick (compacted thickness) Granular Sub Base (GSB) grading as per Grading II of Table 400-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works, 2013 in a single layer over compacted sub grade consisting of natural sand, crushed gravel, crushed stone, crushed slag, or combination thereof as per the grading required. The materials are mechanically mixed, spread and leveling on the sub grade by using motor grader of adequate capacity, and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100 KN static weight for achieving required compaction density of at least 98 % of the Maximum Dry Density. Consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed with finished surface tolerances as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works, 2013 complete all as specified and directed.
Providing, Laying, compaction of Wet Mix Macadam conforming to Clause 406 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision) , 250 mm thick (compacted thickness,125 mm thick in two separate layers) with mechanically crushed graded stone aggregates and granular material (size range 53 mm to 0.075 mm ), grading of aggregates as per Table 400-13 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision) ,including premixing the material with water at OMC in for all leads & lifts, laying in uniform layers with mechanical paverfinisher in sub- base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity to achieve the desired density , required gradient and camber etc., complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. NOTES: 1. The WMM shall be laid in two layers i.e each layer of 125 mm thick (compacted thickness). 2. For payment purpose,both layers shall be considered as one unit.
Preparation of un-surfaced water mixed macadam (WMM) surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud ,dust, loose material, foreign material etc., sweeping with power brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with air compressors to remove all loose dirt etc. and applying evenly a priming coat on un-surfaced wet mix macadam surfaces conforming to Clause 502 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision), with cationic bituminous emulsion SS1 grade,confirming to IS 8887(latest edition) @ 7.5 kg per 10 sq metres using primer distributor which shall be self-propelled or towed bitumen pressure sprayer complete all as specified and directed.
Providing, laying & compaction of Bituminous Macadam (BM) conforming to Clause 504 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision), using mechanically crushed stone aggregates and granual material etc. of grading II as per Table 500-7 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision), premixed with bituminous binder, Bitumen grade VG-30 @ 3.50% (percentage by weight of total mix) prepared in Batch Type Hot Mix Plant of 100-120 TPH capacity transported to site by tippers, laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher equiped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications to achieve the desired compaction and density complete all as specified and directed. Notes : (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 3.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Job mix formula as per MoRT&H specifications for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) for bituminous concrete shall be got designed from NIT/ CTL/ Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less 3.4% by weight of total mix as per clause 504.2.4 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision). (ii) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs 55.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made.
Preparation of bituminous black top surfaces and applying evenly a Tack coat conforming to Clause 503 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision), with cationic bituminous emulsion RS1 grade,confirming to IS 8887(latest edition) @ 2.5 kg per 10 sq metres using using primer distributor which shall be self-propelled or towed bitumen pressure sprayer complete all as specified and directed.
Providing and laying 30 mm thick (consolidated thickness) Bituminous Concrete (BC) layer conforming to clause 507 of MoRT&H specifications for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, filler, 5.5% binder (paving Bitumen grade VG-30) content by weight of total mix and crushed aggregates of grading 2, Anti Stripping Agent, Warm Mix Additives (quantity, quality and grade as per the approved Job Mix Formula) etc, cleaning and pre-heating of the mineral aggregate, filler & bitumen to the specific temperature, thoroughly mixing with binder of specified bitumen content, Anti Stripping Agent, Warm Mix Additives as per mix design in Hot Mix Plant of 100-120 TPH capacity, carrying the hot mixed materials by means of tipper, trucks, or any other approved and suitable arrangements, laying the hot premixed materials over the prepared surface by means of paver finisher including manual operation as and when required for proper grade, level and camber thorough rolling with power roller 8 to 12 tonnes smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller with necessary hand packing and pinning to give an even surface, including running expense of all plants and machineries, inclusive of proper traffic control during laying to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge, required quality control tests at required interval etc complete in all respects complete all as specified and directed.
NOTES : (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 5.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Job mix formula as per clause No 505.3.3 of MoRT&H specifications for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) for bituminous concrete shall be got designed from NIT/ CTL/ Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less 5.4% by weight of total mix as per clause 507.2.5 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision). (ii)The cost of materials, transportation, Job mix formula from lab and testing charges for various tests as required are included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. (iii) Cost of filler i.e rock dust, hydrated lime or cement is deemed to be included in unit rate. (iv) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs 55.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made. (v) After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 of MoRT&H specifications entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonnes (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8 -10 tonnes static weight, followed by finish rolling with 6 to 8 tonnes smoooth wheeled tandem roller as per clause No 507.4.8 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision) and the cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate.
S & F of single side single “W” metal crash barrier comprising of cold formed W profiled section having thickness 3mm (uncoated thickness) with frame width of 311 mm depth 83 mm and length 4318 mm (made of IS marked HR coils conforming to IS 5986/2011) spaced 2.00 m C/C of the post which will be 1.0m above top of beam/ wall with 300x300x 10mm thick base plate fixed by 04 Nos anchor bolt 10 dia to beam/ wall. Metal beam rail to be fixed on the vertical post with spacer channel of cold formed channel section size 150x75x5mm and 330mm long (made of IS marked HR coils conforming to IS 5986/2011), All the above components shall conform to clause 810 of MORTH specifications including all fittings required for erection on road side W-beams, posts, spacers shall be hot dip galvanized with zinc coating of 550 gm/Sqm. All bolts, nuts and washers shall also be hot dip galvanized to IS : 1367 pt-XIII/1983 (Reaffirmed 2011) for bolts and IS 14394/1996 (reaffirmed 2011) for nuts including carriage of material in all leads and lifts, all as shown in drawing and directed.
M & L for precast (factory casted) cement Concrete kerb stone casted in PCC (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate with plain or interlocking joints (as directed), making groove of desired dimension, placing in erect position Kerb stone in edging and set and jointed in cement mortar 1:4, making good distrubed surface of ground complete all as specified and directed.
Preparing bituminous surfaces of roads and marking 2.5mm thick (minimum) lines, dashes, stop lines, arrows, letters etc on road pavement and the like not exceeding 10 cm wide with hot applied Thermo Plastic Paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 including glass beads using special applicator machine complete all as specified and directed.
Road studs (Cat eye) of alloy metal body of size 100mm x 100 mm x 20mm with PMMA stripiens reflector fitted with epoxy resin and 12mm dia size 125mm long pointed nails as per manufactures instructions complete all as specified and directed.
Solar cat eye aluminum alloy body ( 100% water proof design according to IP-65) of size 125mm x 125 mm x 25mm (shank 65 mm ) of high efficiency, mono crystaline solar panel 2.4 V/0.3 watt, one NI-ed rechargeable battery (1.2V/1600MA) consisting of super bright LED with 10,000 to 18000 mcd fixed with epoxy resin as per manufactures instruction complete all as specified and directed.
Metal tubular dealineator made out of ABS round body fitted with 2 Nos 65mm dia highly reflective reflectors made out of PMMA and mounted on 45/50 mm dia mild steel pipe of 600mm height duly powder coated and thermo plastic elastomer 3 bands of green, red and yellow reflector radium tape of 25mm wide strips with anti theft steel net for reflector protection including embedding in PCC 1:2:4 (150mm x 150 mm x 300mm) type B-1 complete all as specified and directed.
